Hello All,
As my name states, I'm brand new at the Pocher building business but would like to jump in with both feet. After hours of trolling the web, I've come to the conclusion that finding a good, unbuilt Pocher kit is as scarce as hen's teeth!

There are a couple of options on ebay that I am considering but I'd like to see if any of you folks would wish to part with any kits that are just gathering dust and would like to turn them into Holiday cash ;-)

I'm setup with Paypal along with CC and checks as well.

Looks like there is quite a community of Pocher-ites so I'm hoping to draw on your vast wealth of experience in building whatever Ferrari I eventually get.

Sorry for the ramb'lns I'll stop. For now...

Cheers!!

As you pointed out, these kits are scarce. The last one I actually SAW was in one of those high-end "latest doo-dad" mall stores back in '88.

It was a Testarossa and back THEN it retailed over $400! Yeah, the detail & scale is incredible, but be prepared to drop a BIG wad of cash when you find one.

I have a Pocher Volvo truck ENGINE kit I'd be happy to trade for just about anything. Let me know if anyone is interested!

You got that right! I guess I'll have to wait until I can find someone I can trust to deliver a full kit at a reasonable price. Either that or win the lottery :jest:

Hey Pocher...

I'm a HUGE Ferrari fan myself and just had a thought...Fujimi made a lot of unbelievably detailed Ferraris in 1/24 scale under the "Enthusiast" line. No, they're not the gigantic museum pieces that Pocher made, but REALLY nice none-the-less.

The detail wasn't quite like the Pochers due to the smaller scale, but the part count was usually around 300 pieces (definitely not "curbsides"), plus they released a lot of unusual variants.

Don't know if they're still in production or not, but they're easier to find, MUCH less expensive and you can fit a lot more of them in a given display space. They build up into some really gorgeous models (I had a Daytona variant that did everything but leak oil :p ).

Just a thought (for what it's worth).

hello all, I have decided to sell my 10 year collection of Pocher kits, models and after-market accessories. Is anyone here interested? (I'm moving and the new location simply does not have room for a 1/8 scale collection like this) I am just starting to compile a list and it will take me a while to complete as there is much to list. There are at least 1 or 2 F40's, 2 or 3 Testarossa's, 1 or 2 Porsche's, F40 engine kits, Testarossa engine kits, Autograph detail kits, and thousands of after-market items I've picked up along the way. (many are no longer offered) Please let me know of any interest. cheers!

Actually, I might be interested. Did Pocher ever do a 512BB and if so, do you have one?

Post your list when you're ready...I'm sure there'd be interest.

BTW: Are they still unbuilt?

I would be interested in the F40 kits + engine kits + autograph transkits + anything else for my 1st wishlist. 2nd would be the Testarossa's. What are the condition of the kits? All the goodies accounted for and unbuilt? I would be interested in your list of unbuilt goodies.

Thanks!!!

I have a Pocher K55 that I purchased in 1993. It is brand new, still in its original box and never built. I have been carrying it around for a lot of years, but I don't have the room for it anymore. I have made contact with a couple of shops, and a current offer of $600.00 stands. If anyone is interested in this kit, please contact me at howster01@yahoo.com. I also have a Tamiya PILOT Escort Cosworth R/C car that is also still in the box and never touched. It is also no longer in production. it is 1/10 scale. Will take offers. Would like to sell these items as soon as possible since I will be on the road soon. Thanks for the interest. Howie

I see where you have or had been looking for a Ferrari Pocher kit. I own a K55 kit that I have had since 1993. It is in original box, never been touched other than to take a peek. Just have not had the time to build it and just decided to sell it this week. I have an offer, but want if anyone else is interested. If not, no biggie but thought I would check. Take care and hope you find or found the kit you were looking for. My e-mail is howster01@yahoo.com if you are interested. Thanks again.

Howie,

Thanks for the offer but I have been mining Pocher's on www.ebay.com and currently have 2 Ferrari's, 2 Alfa's, a Fiat, a Mercedes and a Bugatti waiting to be built. Good luck on your sale...

I just saw your want for a pocher model. I am a retired army man and I bought a pocher model years back. It is the mercedes 540K. It is factory sealed. The box is still in good shape. I have reached the age I am no longer steady enough to do this kind of work. The origional price is still on the bottom of the box. It was 749.00 but I would be glad to take 600.00 + shipping for it. I am harold_burns2000@yahoo.com if you are interested
