Not particularly good looking, maybe functional but not pretty.

4 X $1.7 million???? Isn't ONE ugly enough?
They could have spent a WHOLE lot less and come up with a more traditional and pleasing Batmobile.
I'm not going to enjoy an 'origin of Batman' story until they take it back to place it in the late '30s.

Aliens + Road Warrior + Bladerunner = a metal-plated turd.
Holy lack of imagination, Batman!

Old news. Everybody hates the car. A lotta' people hate the costume. Personally, I like the script, the director, and the casting. We'll see.

Gee guys thats why I put "clear shot" in the message. Seems to show its ugliness even more then those old darker shots.
So it may be old news but its a new pic.

I appreciate that fact. It was the first decent shot I've seen of it in all its horridness.

Correct, Ol' Chum, The first duty of any citizen is to display proper manners. I apologize. And you're right. It is ugly. But I'm convinced the filmakers know what they're doing here.

On this episode of Junkyard Wars, we challenge you to build a Blade Runner vehicle using scrap metal as the body. Extra points for weirdness.

Quote from Director Christopher Nolan in Rolling Stone: "I wanted to make sure the Batmobile, like everything else in the film, is possible and believable." The magazine also says "In the series fifth installment, a prequel starring Christian Bale, the young Bruce Wayne is out to avenge the murder of his parents and pieces together his combat-ready vehicle using military technolgy abandoned by the family firm."
