hi

I know I have seen someone who sells mounting clips to make it easy to put lexan bodies on Tommy chassis and Tyco chassis (and even tjet chassis).

Anybody remember who? Or have a link?

Thanks Mike

Mike, "Neil's Wheels" in Plano,Texas has those clips.....in fact, he probably has some in an Ebay auction right now as well......here's the link for his site:

I have purchased body clips from Brent Coombs for adapting a AFX type body to a TYCO Slim Chassis. I believe it's the only type he makes.
You may be able to email him at: coombs@rmci.net

Hope this helps,
Warren

Bud's HO make a couple different clips for mounting one makers hard body on to another makers chassis. http://www.homestead.com/budshocars/budsho.html

The conventional way to do this is to use body mounting tubes designed exactly for this purpose. If you're uncomfortable mounting these yourself you can buy bare chassis with the tubes already installed and move all the parts from your chassis over to the tubed one. ScaleAuto, Wizzards, and some of the better slot shops sell these. If you race with a club this is the only way to go.

A less conventional way to mount lexan bodies that works in a pinch is to use strips of double-sided foam tape.
