There will be some type of "whoop" or "washboard" section before the 7th. I think it turned out pretty good for a first attemp, we can always tweek and change, WE HAVE IT NOW! It's gravy from here.

You D--- skimmpy!!! As long as I get someboby to cover me that day because I'll be on call that weekend. Other than that it'll have to be an emergency to keep me
away! Bossman said I'd be a fool not to go on grand opening. My XXXT is ready but
got a few air leaks on my NT that I gotta get fixed.

These are the classes we are offering. All heats and Mains are 5 min.

ELECTRIC
Buggy Stock
Truck Stock

GAS
Stadium Truck (max motor is .18 and Truck tires) 2WD
Monster Truck (BIG tires and transmission)
Outlaw Monster Truck(BIG Tires and whatever but no bigger that 1/8th scale)
1/8 Scale Buggy(1/8th scale tires only)

This is how we will start. We may change things as we go but this is the first race and I want everyone to come and these are the rules. If you want to run a truggy it will be OUTLAW until I see what will run what. I'm no nitro guy by no means so lap times will determine what will happen in the future.

If there are any questions feel free to post.

If anyone has time to go and take a pic of the NEW offroad track and post it here it would be great. Maybe someone could bring a camera Wed while we rework the power.

Juice, is the 5 min mains for gas too, or are we going to have longer times with
pit stops?

Rufus

If one or two truggies show up can I race with the other monster trucks?

Mr Electric

I believe so Rufus. We won't let you show up and not run.

Sanders,
The only problem with running longer mains is that you have to find someone to trust to fill it correctly without washing the electronics off. Which makes them do funny things on their own. You really don't want people running up and down the drivers stand either. Very distracting. Usually once they run down they continue from the ground.
All off-road run 5 min. qual-mains. Sometimes gas will opt to run longer mains if they want. Entirely up to them.

You gonna start at 1:00 on Nov.7.
Who's going to be the chief off-road person there.

Rufus

Slider, I know what the rule is all I am asking is when I come over there and there are not enough outlaw trucks to make a class, is it ok if I run with the other monster trucks.

thanks Ryan

Yes Ryan, if you come over you will race, we are not going to send anybody home that wants race.

I believe we will start at 2:00. Tony's the man. I just helped get this going and I'll help him any way possible.

Again Rufus, If there are not enough truggies/outlaw trucks to run, I have no problem with you running with the monster trucks.

10-27-2004, 10:24 AM
We are going to make sure anyone that makes a trip over will race guys. We just needed some guide lines before everything gets out of hand. If everyone had a gas man we could try a longer main but if some one doesn't we will run 5 min.. I hope this clears things up.

Well guys unless something major comes up I will be there. Tommy and who ever else wants go get up with me and we can all ride together.

B.A. Sanders
10-27-2004, 11:06 AM
B4Wizzard, I understand what you're saying. It could get out of hand with people
running around. And if someone wanted me to be their pitman, I would want to
spend some time before races to learn their truck/buggy and how they wanted to treat it. You wouldn't want just any spectator working on your truck/buggy or fueling
it. I'll support whatever the majority wants to do. I'm just excited about the track!!

Went out to the track today from 2:30 to 5:00. got off work early
and stopped by while mama was at a baby shower. Got the the XXXNT
out and give her a run. Once I got the suspension like I wanted it, I felt
good about myself for never running on an off-road. I really like the track
lay out. On the tripple, if I lined up right I could land on top off the
third. I think it's slightly a little out of reach so once I got the rhythm, I
was making a great double and riding a wheely out of the single. The
crossover jump is awesome and so are the doubles. I didn't break anything
other than right before I left my electrics took a dump. I have new batts.
in radio and receiver, and a new crystal in the receiver, not sure what
that's about yet but had fun.

GOTJUICE, I used my air compressor today and I turned on all of the breakers
to keep from walking back and forth to find the plug. So I left at 5:00
and realized when I got home I left them on. I went back a 6:00 and
turned them off. So if anyone says the lights were on today, it was
my fault. Sorry about that. :( I made sure that all was off a 6:00.

As I stated above, my XXXNT started having a glitch I guess. The radio
and receiver are a little over a year old, my crystals are three months
old, and I have new batts in both. Sometimes it would run wild, and the
other times the throttle and steering seemed real slow and sluggish. It
didn't seem to matter if I was on the stand or standing right next to it.
There was another driver out there, but he turned off his radio and it
still done it. Any ideas?????

Brent,
Sounds like you may have more week reciever batteries. If you are using Duracells or something, I would suggest some from Orion or someone like that. Like some 1200mah or higher. If you already have those don't forget its important to cycle them to. Try someone's if they have some if you can.

Check you pm's.

Brent,
You may want to try a little foam pad around the reciever. I don't really remember what the inside of a XXX-NT looks like or if the reciever is in a box. I know some of the plane guys do this to cut down on vibration.
I know the other packs are a little expensive, but after you go through several packs of Duracells, you could have already paid for one. Usually the Duracells only last about 2 weeks or about 10 runs. I would imagine off-road would be worst on battery life, everything will be moving more than it would on oval.

I hate to be a bum, but will someone have a spare batt. for my e-truck
this weekend? Doesn't matter to me if it's matched or stick or spare or
what. I'm just afraid I won't have time to peak my one batt between races.

that has been for every event that Ed has held at SCU. It was in place for the off-road this a while back.... he just never checks to see if everyone has a membership. I included that because it was printed on the flyer. I have seen people race out there for months with no membership and no one asked.I guess he would like it so everyone would have some kind of insurance coverage.
