ok strickland r/c park in ormond beach flrida is going to set up a smaller track like race rock so we can get some good practice in for novembers race!

if coming from jacksonville take I-95 south to the LPGA exit. make a left at the light from the off ramp and head east for about a quarter mile. there will be a 7-11 on the lef side turn left at that light and go down another mile at most , you will see a sign for the park on the right. turn right and go until you see the park entrance on the left side. the r/c track is located behind the softball fields. gates open at 2 pm.....cya there!

finally we get some racing with the fast guys that isnt on carpet.we need to go back to wrapping speaker boxes with that shizzat!see you guys saturday.

Nobody ran me from anywhere. And I know the more I post the more you'll keep on and I just can't stop myself from doing it so the hole just keeps getting bigger. :confused: I will have a body for you next Fri. after the races. I would like to get some more experience with the speed before I go to car if you must know. To be honest I am far from perfect ( as you keep telling me) and I am having problems getting into turn one . And I ran 35 laps with the truck not 34. And you hurt my feelings with all the name calling A-Hole!!

Hey Mr. Bean do you have any idea what classes will be running this Saturday...I know the normal stock, 19t, trucks and 12th scale...the last couple of times we raced there you'll had the mini coopers, the rat class, etc. I looking specifically for an 8 year old to race in...

The boss has cleared me for the second day straight of racing. Looks like I'll be joining the J'ville bunch at Stricklands afterall today. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Can I say I enjoyed racing last night under the full moon, well let say the moon must have affected how everyone raced their cars/trucks. I'll try to make it back for more RACING and hopefully it will not be the survival of the fittest. Is there a lost and found at the track for all the parts left behind.... :p

Great show Mike!!! Everybody was cutting up all day. It was loads of fun. I had the best time yesterday at a RC race in a long time! I will be back down to Stricklands as often as I can.

I'll agree that you guys have a very nice facility and run a good show. I too had a very good time. It's most enjoyable when even the fast guys at the track can get along both on the track and in the pits without the ego's that sometimes put a chill on an otherwise extremely fun hobby.

Theres seems to be a friendly(most of the time)rivalry brewing between the separate areas of the state such as "The West Coast Boyz", "Team Daytona" and "Team Jax" and it's all good. Wish the WCB's could have been there lastnight too.

lap counting gremlins were the only nonfun factor of the evening but the crew tried to make repairs and I'm sure they'll get it figured out in due time.

Food? I said it lastnight and I'll say it again here. The cheeseburger and fries meal I ate had to be the best racetrack food I remember eating at any track either r/c or fullscale period. Now if we could just get beer trackside, Uh maybe not but it's just a thought. I know it's the whole "City property ordinance thing" And Sheriff Mike is a big guy too. :eek: Doh!

I'm looking forward to racing there more in the future but tracks seem to close down after I show up and race a couple of times. I'm starting to get a complex.

Yikes! You know it was a good time when someone who didnt fair well in the main can say they had good time.

I had a blast!! I will be down as much as I can . The 19 turn main was hit free for me . Travis gave me the bumper but I know it was not on purpose. But no one hit me when I was sitting there so that was good. Our cars were very close and we were bumper to bumper for a good 2 and a half mins. Something had to give...lol It was a very clean 10 car main and really fun. Thanks Mike Bean for putting on a good show
