We will start carpet racing in November. If you want to run road course on carpet here is your chance. Here are the dates. Spread the word out. Lets try and get some of those Memphis boys up here. We have foam tires btw.

NOVEMBER:
6- OVAL
13- ROAD COURSE
20- OVAL
27- ROAD COURSE

who is gonna make the first carpet race?

What time will the Oval races start, any clue on what foam tire compounds is needed for this track, what brand of tires do you have?

Eddie-We're heading up Sun to test some tires. hopefully we'll figure out what works best. Not sure what all brands Tony will stock. I know he has BSR and probably JACO.

Well, no one has really done any serious running on the carpet track to know what's fast yet. So, come everyone should be in the same boat, lol.

o.k.boys i'm going to try every week till christmas if we do not get turnout i'll drop to every other week so it's up to ya'll

best lap i turned in stock was 4.31 and finished with 4.5 and 19t 4.00 finish with 4.4 looks like tires are going to be pink white grey rear and pink white grey or black fronts never really got car going so i guess i am going to have to do some work this week

lets hear some first race lap counts in heats and the mains.

brandon won the first two heats i won the third, but Freddie won the main. brandon told me to run a motor that hadnt been broke in yet and it showed. but after the races me and brandon ended up getting alot faster than what we had been running. so maybe next time. as far as lap times though i dont remeber of the top of my head, except when i won and i turned 51 at 4:04.

i ran fastest in stock 52 4:01 freddie had legend rolling i finished 2nd inall heat of legend and in main with the world famous rentalegend we all made some bad motor choices for main in stock freddie 50laps me 49laps and 20 wrecks later and kent with 44 freddie raced clean and had his cars working good on the rug especially the legend i may have to get me one of them

There is a post on RC Tech but someone other than me should post on it also to keep it up top in front of them I talked to a couple of guys from Memphis yesterday and let them know about the race.

keep kent in line that aint going to happen glad yall had a good turnout had to babysit the wife saturday she was sick and i got to race in ttown sunday i still got a body on the left side beat the other one off moving out of the way hope i can bring some boys up saturday got to go to doctor and have some bloodwork done for some reason between 6pm to 8pm at night my i sight goes away and blood sugar is low so if the doctor doesn't break me i will see yall guys saturday

LOL, No carpet isn't for walking on , its for wiping crap off of your shoes before you walk on concrete!


I have ran a many of lap on the rug. Its like running dirt, I get very dirty everytime I play with foams. Any oval track is better than no oval track, even carpet!

What kind of tire traction compound are you guys using for this track? :confused:

TQ Compounds
Stick ET
all the above have low to no Odor such as the Paragon or other types of compound that work really well but smell too much in the confines of the indoor track.

Wintergreen or other high odor compounds are not allowed but just in case you don't have any of the no-smellum sauce there is plenty on sale at the track.
