Maximus Raceway 10-15-2004, 11:14 AM How about some roadcourse on Sundays????
How many guys can you get to come?
highroller 10-16-2004, 03:49 AM Yes I am planning to. I'll probably be leaving right from work, or stopping at home for a few minutes.
Anchor2 10-17-2004, 07:30 PM Anyone else wanting to race on Sunday. Some guys are planning on going on Sat night, I'm going to wait and see what day the crowd will show up. Keep in touch.

Anchor2 10-17-2004, 07:33 PM I just re-read the schedule, Sunday racing doesn't start until Nov 7th. But Sat racing is on for next week.

BrandO 10-17-2004, 08:12 PM Does anyone have any setup information they would like to share? Stuff like tires, springs, rollout etc. I plan on racing this coming winter. I am still pretty new to the carpet oval thing. So any help would be appreciated. Just ask Ed, I am no threat.
MobileMikeV 10-17-2004, 08:30 PM what class?
BrandO 10-17-2004, 08:52 PM Ya that would help wouldn't it. I will be running stock. Actually may start out in sportsman just so I am not in the way. I also have an SK I plan on running. Not sure if anyone has run one up there yet. I ran a little in Gilford last year. But my oval skills still need a lot of work. It's a little different than running a quarter scale.
brando I run every week I mean every day there when you come i will help you. i will be there saturday. and maybe this sunday. i might go to vt on sunday.
HighSpeedGrafix 10-18-2004, 01:10 PM Maximus-I honestly have no idea how many people would come. I might be able to bring 5 or 6 and depending on how much we advertise roadcourse racing you might get a few more. If you advertise a roadcourse day I am sure I can get people to travel. I know Nick Dawg can get interested racers.
I just got my hands on a REV 4 so I am ready to run some roadcourse.
BrandO 10-19-2004, 09:28 AM Thanks Ed, Your help is always appreciated. I still need to get you some motors to tweak on. I have the motors and brushes all ready for you.
Anchor2 10-20-2004, 07:08 AM Who is going on Saturday for some racing?
Anchor
dancingd 10-20-2004, 04:26 PM Sorry won't be making this Saturday...Promise the wife we would do family thing with the kid...Anyway I need to change over my soild chassis to slider if I'm going to run at York..
N2RACN 10-20-2004, 09:18 PM i'm gonna try but not 100% if i'll be able to make it this week. next week is a definate. see ya soon.
HighSpeedGrafix 10-21-2004, 07:54 AM For the most part is oval bigger on Sundays or Saturdays? How has the turnout been on each day?
BrandO 10-21-2004, 10:04 AM Sunday racing hasn't started yet has it? The Sunday points series starts on the first Sunday in November if my memory serves me. I know a number of us plan on racing on Sundays. Turnout would be hard to judge since the points season hasn't started yet. I know some oval guys would rather race on Saturdays. But there is a number of oval guys that would rather race on Sundays. I guess what I am saying is only time will tell. I can't wait to move indoors for some racing.

We feel that Saturday will be the slow day for oval. Sunday is the day that most people are talking about racing on. We are just testing the waters with Saturday and we will see how it pans-out.

We agree with what Brando is saying Sunday will be the main Oval day.

Yes, Just searching for a date. Any ideas?
Anchor2 10-21-2004, 09:06 PM I won't make it on Saturday, I have things to do and not enough committed racers for racing. Will see all next weekend for sure.

You can run basically the same setup that you had at LRRCS....
I changed VERY little from that setup.
Don't worry about getting in the way, the track is very wide,
and you'll have no problems at all. You don't belong in Sportsman..
Dan
BrandO 10-22-2004, 08:37 PM Thanks Dan. So is the LRRCS rollout a good starting spot. I just like to get my cars in the ballpark before I show up. I realize they have to be tweaked on. I hope to get some practice on the track soon. I guess I will decide what class after that. I still have the VT. trophy race from last year stuck in my head. I sucked that day and was in the way for sure.

I don't know what you run at LRRCS, but I've seen you race there,
and I would say give it a try... My guess is that you will be close.
Obviously a tooth or two change is likely, but I didn't find it too much
different. Tires, I run the same.
It's tough to NOT feel in the way at a trophy race!
But those guys don't race weekly...
dancingd 10-22-2004, 09:31 PM I will be there next Saturday for sure...Heath,can we get there earlier then three???
i will be there at 2 today. Brando i hope you and Dan can make it.
MobileMikeV 10-23-2004, 07:34 AM Bojo if you get this before 7:40 can you give me a call? 401-573-4000
Thanks,
Mike V
BrandO 10-23-2004, 10:29 AM I won't be there today. My daughters B-day party is tomorrow and I have some chores to do. I am shooting for next Saturday for some track time. My cars still need a little work anyways.
Anchor2 10-23-2004, 12:11 PM Looks like there will be a large crowd there next Saturday. I'll be there and ready to go. After next Saturday, is there a consensus about what will be the day that most will run (Sat or Sun)?
Anchor
BrandO 10-23-2004, 01:42 PM I know of at least 4 people including myself that will be racing on Sundays. We plan on running the SK mods along with a couple other classes. I have an SK, pan car, and a TC3 I plan on running.
dancingd 10-23-2004, 01:53 PM Just took everything from the soild 700 and put it on the slider 700,so now I will have a slider chassic...Should get that to work at York..All I can say is that I'm not able to run on Sundays..Saturday is my best day..
Maximus Raceway 10-23-2004, 03:27 PM I will be there next Saturday for sure...Heath,can we get there earlier then three???

Jim - Looks like Sunday is going to be the day most guys are going to show up. I do think next Saturday will be good, but the point series starts the following week (Nov) on Sundays.

I haven't moved the shop yet. It is currently under construction.
Sunday had a poor turn-out. It will kick in on the first Sunday of Nov.
Are you racing on Saturday?
Anchor2 10-26-2004, 07:40 PM I'm sure Racing will pick up once the full schedule kicks in beginning on Nov 7th. Looking forward to weekly racing for once, without having to travel.
