(860) 872-4069 If you get a voicemail box that is not set up, I'm on the computer, try back a little later. B.Sousa 12-11-2004, 10:33 PM jason got it right thanks for the help, Brad B.Sousa 12-11-2004, 10:44 PM one other question which right side hub do i use when running the offset tbar only. not off set pod just off set tbar. trying to get the rear track width to 200mm but with the short hub it too far under and the long hub too far over. thanks, Brad Jason Lambert 12-12-2004, 07:48 AM With the pod not offset, the shorter hub is the one to use. If you have the right front suspension in the center hole, the right rear and right front are fairly close to being even with no shims on the axle. I don't know how many MM to set the width to, but 7 3/4 inches is where I usually havs most of my cars set. We are in the U.S. damn it, stop with the metric.. you are corrupting oval with that! :) ericsalvas 12-12-2004, 09:01 AM hey Jason we're the ones to blame(canadians!!)lol since we switched to CW...Steve and i are running wider rear width(since the pod is made differently than the other brands....we now run in between 202-205....the right rear is shimmed with only 1x0.020'' shim...and play with LR to have a good gap(something near 3mm out vs LF)... last friday i moved my LF to 2nd hole from center...this gave me some steering...my RF was 3rd hole from center...and guys...make sure you always measure your rear steer...with a good micrometer caliper....'cause even though there is only a 1/2 or 0deg adjustment availble(with the slug)....your able to play by tweeking the t-plate screws(unloosing and retighting those)...the way to measure it is simple...measure the gap between the pod and chassis...one measure from the left part and one from the right....you notice that the gap from the right will be ALOT bigger due to the configuration of the bottom plate pod....(slug)...but when you know the difference of it from zero degree...pod removed and front portion of it placed on a glass...the difference is 0.336''....)so...you could have up to .040'' of rear steer...yesterday i moved it to 0.016''...to take some turnability form it(the car was loose out...the car was pulling to the the left out from exit...)and it worked perfectly....also...when your car is dialed...measure it...and take note of it...'cause it could move after a big hit... i could post a picture later to illustrize it Eric Salvas team CW ericsalvas 12-12-2004, 09:48 AM gap 'b' - gap 'a' - gap 'x'(0.336'')= rear steer in '' oldtimer 12-12-2004, 09:41 PM Hey there guys do you know where i can get a bottom plate for the car asap . thanks kenny from c.t. JSJ Racing 12-13-2004, 10:02 PM Can someone tell me who stocks the new Enforcer gbx? Can you give me the web site or the telephone number please? The Jet 12-13-2004, 10:29 PM I believe I saw one at Putnams. putnampro@aol.com 518-452-0422 rcavenger 12-14-2004, 12:01 PM eric/steve...or anyone w/ some track time w/ the agressor, I have raced the car 5 times now at my nearest track, so i have about 35-40 runs on it. I have tried various setups, tires, bodies, etc. here is my dilema... The track i race at is 24X70, probably the tightest corner anyone has seen. We race 4 cell stock exclusively there. I have always had a problem w/ the car being too aggressive on entrance, and push on exit. I am running around 330-340 gr LR. if i remove some of this (to around 310), the car 'jack-knifes' coming into the turn. It seems as though the car needs either more LF bite, or less LR bite. Until my last run Saturday night, i was running the car in the offset T-plate config, w/ the non-offset pod. I switched to the centered T-plate config, w/ the pod offset, and the car FINALLY turned off of corner 4, instead of making a 'bee line' for the wall. I basically have the 'salvas' setup as posted on the website in the car. I still have some push, but it is an 'even' push through the corners, being an equal amount on entrance and exit. any thoughts on this? Scott Johnson ericsalvas 12-14-2004, 01:10 PM hey scott...you might try different front width setup... as far as wedge goes...340-360 is what i run(weighted with full trim...body, electronic....)..less wedge will unload LR...wich will give your car to spin(or 'jack-knifes') so...if entry is ok...leave LF as it is...(moving the LF out a little will give you more entry...i went to the second hole(from inside) to give me some more entry front bite last week ...with good results...) if tight going out...move RF in...or measure your rear steer (as mentionned above)...you could go with more...to give you more turnability... then for minor adjustment...shimmed your LR in(with 0.020'' increments) for more steering going out...or shim it out...to tight it up going out..Steve and are using only 1x0.020'' on the RR...so play only with LR...start with LR 3mm(1/8'') out vs LF.. remember...if your track has real hard sweep turns...go light in side shocks oil...so your car has time to switch weight trough the corner...tigher the turns...lighter the oil in side shocks.. hope this helps... Eric Salvas teamCW rcavenger 12-14-2004, 01:55 PM thanks for the reply, Eric.(1) ok, well, at least i am right on the tweak. some of the guys are running extremely low amounts of LR (9.5 oz), but it seems odd to me to have more weight on the LR than the RR...? (2) Rear steer is at the 1/2 deg setting, but i am sure there is some more i can crank into it w/ the slop in the screw holes (3) I was planning on moving the RF in one set of holes (to the middle hole on the RF adjustment block). I did have that one hole back from the middle, cause i thought it would make the car more solid on entrance. after this discussion, i will merely add 10 grams of tweak, and move the RF in 1 hole (4) my LR is dead inline w/ the LF, so i am afraid to go any further inboard there (5) i am running 30 wt in the side shocks, but going lighter seems like a good idea. i will build up 25 and 20 wt shocks to try. Eric, any comments on running the T-plate in the std position, as opposed to the offset? seemed to make the car round the corner much better on exit on this tight track...? ericsalvas 12-14-2004, 02:53 PM of course...the offset T-PLATE...wil increase rear bite out of the corner(when the rear suspension is compressed(try it on scales)...you'll see that the LR is loaded more(under acceleration)...so this setup will give you a tighter feel out of the corner(or in a class where rear traction is needed...) so running the t-plate centered on a short or sharp paper clip turn ...is good.... i would stay with it(centered t-plate)...but if any need of rear traction out of the corner...offset would be necessary as of the rear steer...make sure you measure yours(in 1/1000'')...the way i showed earlier...because even though your having the 1/2deg slug into it...your able to go from one extreme to another...just by playing with the t-plates crews... what i did on mine(and will probably show to CW staff)...i slotted the two holes on the slug...and remove the 1/2deg end of the slug to keep only the 0deg part of it...this way...by loossening the two screws on the slug(two small 4x40 screws that holds the slug)i'm able to go from 0deg(0.000'')to 1/2deg(0.035'') without removing any parts... hope this helps.. Eric teamCW rcavenger 12-14-2004, 06:05 PM that helps alot, Eric. I was beginning to think that the offset T-plate would work better on certain tracks, ones where traction coming off is a problem. the final straw was when another racer at this track took a motor i sold him and went 3 laps faster than i was able to! i looked his car over, and of course, the T-plate was centered on it. I figured i had nothing to lose..:) BTW, i just measured my rear pod, and i have about .02" of rear steer in w/ the '1/2' deg setting. but, w/ all those screw holes on the bottom pod plate, i am sure it is different everytime it is bolted together. Much better idea to do what you did, and measure it to get it perfect. Plus, the tab from the slug gets in the way of the bottom motor screw... ericsalvas 12-14-2004, 07:40 PM yep...CW might come out later with something like this...this is what we call R&D Eric Salvas team CW Jason Lambert 12-14-2004, 08:12 PM That slotting the slug is a good idea, as long sa you use a larger bolt to hold the plate from moving. I'd do that too, but I dont wanan mess up the only slug that I have. I need to get some parts for this car... what's the easiest way, call CW? If so, what's the # I ccan call to get in touch with someone...... Metal 12-14-2004, 08:35 PM I needed a T-Plate quick and CW took care of me real fast. Had the parts the next day. Just call the phone # thats in the manual and they will take care of you. Todd Putnam has a full stock of parts you could try giving him a ring too. My hat of to the Custom Works guys for building yet another awesome oval car. But more importantly for stepping up there customer service and parts department which in the past left something to be desired. Thank You! Brian Team Paradyme 12-15-2004, 12:40 AM Eric, on the Aggressor rear steer. If you have 3 holes inline on the t-plate and 2 holes inline on the bottom pod plate held with flathead screws in which the location is maintained by the angle of the head of the screw not the hole, aren't you introducing a bind in the t-plate when you try to change that alignment by changing that centerline on only 1 hole? (0n the rear steer clip). Do you not use the center screw on the t-plate or what's the fix? Hey TJ. would you post your Trackside setup? Jason Lambert 12-15-2004, 07:29 AM Slightly ream the center holeout if needed, but there's enough play in the hole so that there's realy no need. Please be nice ... though I understand how deceiving it can be (moving back the kits availability) ... NO ONE would be more pleased than the guys at CW to fill out the orders at this time of year ... The fact is that the graphite was being cut and shipped to CW 3 weeks ago ... only to uncover that there was a defect in the graphite sheets ... so it was back to square one ... Rob, Arnie and the guys are working days and nights on providing you guys the highest quality available ... they want to make sure it is right before the kits go out the door. I tq'ed and won the 19 turn class with ease, the car was outstanding. Those of you that are waiting for the kit... just hold on. I'll be willing to bet that once the availability issues are straitened out... this car is gonna be as popular or more than a hyperdrive or a ksg for that matter. the cars are just fast... if they can make me look good, then it's gotta be a killer car! :) Arnie Fie 12-21-2004, 07:45 PM Razoo: We are in the same boat with you. Mr Oragomi 12-21-2004, 08:30 PM Arnie, have you made any headway on a setup sheep for the Agressor to make it easier to record some of our setups we are working on?
