Tested my new slider for the first time yesterday, I have ran a blue car on carpet since they came out, and it did everything and then some I was very pleased, ran many different setups and compared laptimes and everytime it got better. Steve Salvas' setups felt the best with and offset pod but laptimes were very close with centered pod. The car was faster when i started stiffening the side springs, just curious what people think about soft sides vs stiffer sides with this car.

Jason - The stiffer side springs work really well especially with the offset T-plate, as long as there is enough grip.

i agree jason. i liked salvas' baseline setup and kept tweaking from there. i stayed on the blue/gold spring combo...but will likely go stiffer this weekend. since i built my original aggressor last year i've never had the t-plate anywhere but offset...always seemed plenty fast. this car was faster out of the box than my solid car....we'll see what else we can do. i'm trying to stay away from copying the solid car setup on this car as i'd like to give it a fair test. good luck and hope to race with ya soon.

VSP - Sorry that happened, some kits slipped out that way, I'm sure Arnie and Rob will take care of you when they return. Are you able to countersink the holes yourself?

jsrocket - I've run mine once on flat carpet and I lead the LF 1/16 or one hole, it seemed to give a little more turn in.
The car is stiffer than the solid chassis and very responsive to changes.
IF you need more info I can send you the setup sheet.

no offset tplate on that ride Eric H?

no offset tplate on that ride Eric H?

Not for banked racing. I always run straight up plate / straight up pod in stock on banked and straight up plate / offset pod in 19T and Mod.

Actually on flat track I tried the plate offset/pod straight up and my car was wickedly inconsistent. Could have blown something else in the setup which was probably the case but I was getting beat by a straight up/straight up car so that setup works too.

cool man I have always ran the car with the offset tplate. maybe I should try centering it up. I am also trying out a offset servo for the first time on this car. looks cool.

DO you think it makes any difference between the two?? Im sure they somewhat work the same, i just havent tried the right block due to the ride height changes..

Your the first person ive seen doing the same thing with the left block so i had to make the joke>>

You must have been talking to Lamballs when you pulled that stunt. Who painted your bodies? They look pretty good...........

well it makes sense more left side weight the better. lol really I talked to Lamballs he said I must try it. Jason might not be the most like person but I respect his opinion on chassis set up. so i'll give it a try.

As for the bodies thank you very much i take alot of pride in having a sweet looking ride. I paint all my own stuff. it is all hand cut with an exacto. so when it's slow at least it looks cool. lol

how is the darkside servo kit working ?

I ran my slider for the first time at Classic in 19T. The last time I ran 19T was 2 years ago so I was a little rusty but managed to take TQ down with a pretty stout field.
I am happy with it.
