Lighteningmotorsports@msn.com Doug P Arnie Fie 11-09-2005, 08:49 AM jsrocket: Mr Fastman will probably have a better answer than me, give him an e-mail. jsrocket13 11-09-2005, 03:56 PM Thanks Arnie i did just waiting Mr.fastman 11-09-2005, 06:15 PM Thanks Arnie i did just waiting jsrocket - You've got mail. Doug p jsrocket13 11-09-2005, 06:44 PM Thanks Doug KenBajdek 11-10-2005, 05:03 PM Any help from you CW drivers out there. The car is awsome! But i would like to have a little more control of the car out of off camber corner. The car does't break loose it just has a little wiggle as you exit ( if you dive under somebody for a pass) and it sometimes will make the car square off the corners. What can I adjust to help this out without hurting the other corner? Our track is 115 berber carpet with 10ft lanes and a 4 ft infield. It is a paper clip track with lots of bite. I am running white rears, purple RF green LF, springs white LF, red RF, center shock is silver spring 50wt oil and is in the top hole, side shocks are 50wt oil, beige LR spring silver RR spring both are mounted on the bottom hole. Offset tplate (stock) pod offset to left and rear width is 8 1/4 (no spacers on RR axle). Rear pod is long and front is short wheel base. RF is 1 hole from the widest spot, and the LF is 1 hole from narrowest spot. LF are is 1 hole down on castor block and RF is 2 holes down from top. We are running 4 cell brushless 5800. davepull 11-10-2005, 05:54 PM i would try to take some of the camber gain out of the RF. KenBajdek 11-10-2005, 06:59 PM I thought about reducing the camber gain on RF but what about increasing castor on the LF so it will slide more on exit? I have 1 deg castor lf 2 deg on RF. davepull 11-10-2005, 07:03 PM i would try lowering the LF A arm before the castor. that will add camber gain and it won't turn as hard off. KenBajdek 11-10-2005, 07:46 PM Thanks, I will try that Friday night. It is nice to have a car that responds to small changes. The car is close but it can always be a little better. Mr.fastman 11-10-2005, 10:24 PM Ken - Send me an email. Doug P jsrocket13 11-10-2005, 11:14 PM Hey guys thanks for all the help since i run 3 classes i need 3 cars so i found 2 used and a new one at my local hobby shop this wont be the last of me for CW cneyedog 11-12-2005, 10:45 AM to me the most important thing that makes CW a great car for me personally, is when I make a change, even slight... i can feel/see the difference on the track. I'm in the process of building my first Aggressor and was wondering if anyone has any setups for Manatee Thunder Raceway. I will be starting off in stock. If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it. davepull 11-14-2005, 08:43 PM ok first run the long wheelbase and long pod. to do this you run the middle holes on the frontend. white front springs , green associated center spring silver lr and green rr. run the offset fiberglass t plate with a off set pod. on the frontend and shock positions run them in the kit location shock oils 30wt side 50 center tire 3 pinks and purple. Mr.fastman 11-14-2005, 09:15 PM Hello... I'm in the process of building my first Aggressor and was wondering if anyone has any setups for Manatee Thunder Raceway. I will be starting off in stock. If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it. Skip - Could you describe the track, I should be able to send you someting to get you started. Doug P davepull 11-14-2005, 10:32 PM doug I have ran there before is is super bumpy with no grip. i tryed red springs first and you actually see the frontend hoping. went to the white spring and more droop in the frontend and that solved it. speedpunk 11-14-2005, 10:57 PM I would like to say thanks to Steve and Arnie for your setup sheets. I have run my new Aggressor 3 weekends now and picked up 3 laps. I have to say that this car is the best car that I have ever had. I have never had a car corner like this car. If I hadn't wrecked with my teamate. I would of qualified 4th in the A main in brushless at the fall oval shootout at Hobbyplex in Omaha NE this past weekend. Thanks Again. Craig Maline http://www.hthpr.com/index.php Arnie Fie 11-15-2005, 08:47 AM Davepull: Is that you and Skip are talking about track concrete or at least cap tires? Speedpunk: Thanks for the words, we are all here on hobbytalk to help. BTW: Erock, Mr Fastman, Jake Flurer, Phil Marabella, myself and a bunch of others will all be at Sandhills, NC this weekend for the Oval Masters race. Come say hi, we'll either be pitting on the backstraight by turn #3 and/or in the "back room". Three 11-15-2005, 09:46 AM So the new chassis will be available today? Is the wait over? LOL  KenBajdek 11-15-2005, 09:48 AM Mrfastman I sent you an email last Thursday. Davepull, thanks for the setup help!! Dropping the LF camber gain mount helped the car so much that I was so much better off of that corner #2 that I was able to pass cars instead of waiting until turn 3 or 4. The car TQ'd and was just off of the track record set last week by another Aggressor. davepull 11-15-2005, 09:48 AM this is a link to the track. http://www.snowbirdnationals.com/MTRfocarpics.htm it is one bumpy sucker. skip724 11-15-2005, 12:23 PM I really appreciate the setup help. I have got the car together, now I just need a charger and power supply and I will be ready to go!!!! Hope to run in FOCAR in '06. So, I'll see you out there Dave. skip724 11-15-2005, 08:11 PM Got the car together and mounted Jaco Tires on it. I have tightened the lock nut on the fronts as far as it goes and the wheels still aren't tight. There is a lot of play left. Am I missing a spacer somewhere??? :freak: jsrocket13 11-15-2005, 09:39 PM dave thanks for the pics i want to play tennis again lmao Mr.fastman 11-15-2005, 11:15 PM Mrfastman I sent you an email last Thursday. If you don't mind try me again. Lighteningmotorsports@msn.com Doug P jbm38 11-16-2005, 01:04 AM Have the sliders shipped???? philb1 11-16-2005, 06:21 AM Skip724; Depending on how you look at it the Jaco wheels are narrower, or provide track width adjustment. Add shims as necessary. Al Spina Fan 11-16-2005, 07:46 AM I talked to Rob on Monday and he said mine would ship Wed or Thurs. davz 11-16-2005, 08:34 AM I've got one of the original kits from the beginning of last year. The car isn't as good as it used to be. I've tried a lot of different things, and have inspected the graphite extensively. Has anyone experienced this????? Is it possible the graphite is just tired? I always have thought there's nothing like a new chassis. Thinking about converting the car to a slider. Arnie Fie 11-16-2005, 12:58 PM Kits are shipping now as they were ordered. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2013, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
