jake86 10-27-2005, 01:56 PM I think it is the same part number as the old one. Am I right?
Jason
cneyedog 10-28-2005, 10:21 AM does the additional brace that goes to the chassis off the new shock tower show an on track improvement, as in can you tell the difference in a car with it or without it........ im still trying to find one is why im asking
Kenwood 10-28-2005, 11:01 AM I did.. But I was having problems with the carflexing to much in 19T on high bite tracks... This seemed to fix my problems... So YES I noticed it...But ive heard orthers say they did not.. ?? so I dunno..
Jason Lambert 10-28-2005, 12:25 PM I gotta get a couple of these things... see if it helps my cars any. I suspect it might.
BA Motorsports 10-28-2005, 02:36 PM Re: Steering tie-rods angle ... this prototype slider chassis had the servo holes pre-drilled: 4.000" from front of chassis. On my solid chassis, I run my servo at 3.900" from front of chassis ... that's using T alu adjustable servo mounts (front of chassis to servo mount holes).
Is the slider car going to have the servo mount holes pre drilled or was that just on the prototype, if so for what size servo, also is the car going to be the type of graphite shown in the prototype pics or the woven graphite like the solid chassis ???????????????
Metal 10-28-2005, 09:18 PM Kenwood- Exactly how do you know the difference between chassis flex and the other thousand handling issue's we all deal with our cars?
Brian
icenutz 10-29-2005, 12:13 AM Ok, oval newbie here. What is the advantages to the Slider chasis compared to the Aggressor? Why would I wnat one over the other?

You can be pretty sure there will be no holes for the servo. Steve's prototype had them because the chassis was custom made. I do not know for sure and forgot to ask Arnie yesterday.
Jason Lambert 10-29-2005, 08:01 AM Brain... believe me, chassis flex is something that you will know is happening when you get to a certain level of dialing your car in.... it's hard to explain, but it's a "feel" that the car will have, or not have, and no matter what you do, you won't be able to overocme it.
ice, the slider vs. the solid chassis debate is more of a personal preferance thing, then anything else. I've not seen a situation where either is hands down better then the other, it has more to do with hwat a driver is used to then anything else.
erock1331 10-29-2005, 09:52 AM One difference between the front end on the slider compared to the solid car is the slider will allow you to lead or trail your RF block.
icenutz 10-29-2005, 10:11 AM Thanks, I did also noticed that when compairing pictures. I have an Aggressor on the way and have always hated buying a kit only to heve the latest and greatest come out a few weeks later.
What is the performace gain in "sliding" the RF block forward or back?

Ginsu 10-29-2005, 11:47 AM Hi,
I recently purchased a CW Aggressor. Kit looks great. What I would like to know are most of you running the Wolfe Long kingpins? If so what is the advantage of doing so? Thanks

A much wider selection of springs and rates?
Progressive and linear?
erock1331 10-29-2005, 02:59 PM I run Associated 9110 Pins. The stock pins will not work well with Wolfe springs, that is why most use something longer like the 9110's or the Wolfes
Porksalot4L 10-29-2005, 04:20 PM Erock what is the difference between the asscociated 9110's and the wolf king pins?
joe ivo
davepull 10-29-2005, 04:45 PM I believe it is a little shorter. FYI the wolfe king pin is associated 6226
erock1331 10-29-2005, 05:09 PM davepull is correct, the 9110 is a bit shorter.
If you use Wolfe springs, and the wolfe spring retainers basically you need about one .020 shim on top for 0 preload.
Also after I got to thinking more about it, the 9110's are just a touch smaller in diameter compared to the wolfes. Which I like, this way I don't have to work as hard to get my front end free. The first time I use them I lightly sand them with some 800 grit, then after that just use Mother's polish for each rebuild.
davepull 10-30-2005, 10:23 PM I noticed a difference in both cars when I changed to the new cross brace and support. it made the car turn a little harder and it also made the car more consistant through the course of the run.
dave w 1 10-31-2005, 08:12 AM my aggressor loved the brace broke are old track record by over a lap yesterday!

Arnie Fie 10-31-2005, 06:29 PM Hey all,
We are currently taking orders for the new Slider Aggressor offered as both a full kit and as a conversion from the original solid-type chassis. Kits and conversions will be sold on a first come/first serve basis, and by the interest we have recieved it looks like we may be sold out for a couple weeks after the first batch comes in. We forecasted way back in September a Nov 1st arrival and it looks like the official day of shipping will be close to the 15th of November (very likely not later than this date). I apologize to any inconvenience this may cause.
We are excited for everyone to give this new chassis a run. The changes from the original solid chassis are very subtle. The left front suspension for this chassis is slotted forward/backward so you have the ability to lead or trail the left front tire to further adjust the attitude of your Aggressor throughout cornering and the the entire battery tray area is infinitly adjustable forward/backward as well. The changes we feel will help the set-ups on banked tracks and even more solidify the Aggressor as the car to run on flat tracks.
If you have any questions feel free to post them here. Big thanks to you all out there who help keep this thread a very informative place for chassis set-up and help.
katf1sh 10-31-2005, 06:36 PM because i get to tech the cars in my own oval series i see more and more CW cars on the tech table! there are so many CW owners in florida that there going to start a discussion forum just for them! plus they all share info on set-ups and when one runs good they all run good! keep up the great work at CW fellas and thank you for your support of the florida oval series... you guys rock! william sell

KenBajdek 11-02-2005, 08:38 PM I would like to get my name on the pre order if I just had a part number for the conversion? Anybody????
Also what springsteel t-plate would be equal to .063 fiberglass for the offset style? I was wanting to try the spring steel for a while to see if it makes the car more consistant over the long haul.
Three 11-02-2005, 08:49 PM Any chance that a solid chassis with the new front suspension mounting slots will be made? Am not sure I want to slide (LOL)
jake86 11-02-2005, 09:35 PM Can anyone tell me what font style is used for the new logo on the part that you buy. I'm trying to make a file like Steve did so everyone can use it to put on there cars. Thanks for the help.
