i would like to say thanks to mr fast man for the set up help bs motorsport with the aggressor walked away with the 4 cell stock title at the western worlds in arizona this weekend the set up was perfect. worked well in 19 but had some trouble with trafic.

I finally had a chance to talk to Custom Works.....The front end is not new.....but the shock tower was made taller to make it more rigid....hope that helps......my aggressor is on the way! :thumbsup:

OKAY RE FRESH THIS OLD MANS MEMORY FOR CASTER we race on a high loop low bite carpet what is the cause and effect of diffrent degrees of caster in relation to entering and exiting the corner

Dave.. my findings are usually not the norm.. but I find that adding caster to the left front usually will make a car run up off the corner, removing the left front makes exit stereing better.. and the right front works the same.. add caster, it removes some steering, stand te kingpin up more, and the car will steer more.

More caster in both sides will usually make the car more stable down long straitaways, car seems less twitchy that way.

when you you say more caster you mean lean them back?

the way you can adjust the LF ... IS .... new on the slider car, on the slider car you can slide the LF front to back on the chassis, where on the current car you move the entire assy left to right across the car when you change the locking plate position ..... on the new one it will move the entire assy front to back.

I have my aggressor! ...... I was the guy sitting next to billy when you got some parts @ Speedline ...........:thumbsup:

ya more caster lean them back makes the car turn in harder but will make it push comming off less caster will make it not turn in as hard but makes it turn better comming off

Steve, Lambert, Jet, etc etc ......Anybody running a Proto Taurus body with a 10" wheelbase?
If so how long are your body mounts front and rear. Looking to get 4 1/4".
Wanna save some time and have a measurement to start with.

sorry Eric...i've been running the taurus on 10'' wheel base...but in a higher(stock)ride height...body cut to manufactured lines....if you want those measurement...i could post those....btw...those bodies....were...great...i won yesterday...and steve got 2nd(after moving from a dodge md to that particular body type...)hopefully...Dale will be making a low downforce body soon...i'm actually running the last one i owned...no more on the work bench...

i hear that, i kept a few back once i heard they got rid of them. But I am down to 2 left. When I spoke to Dale last he said the Fusion would be the LD body if Pro-line gives him the go-ahead down the road.

I wish I could help Steve out but I need to paint one up for Sandhills (Oval Masters) and the other for the ROAR nats (Sandhills) and ARCOR open (Classic)...too much banked track racing to give them up, sorry buddy.

So far I tried 2.52 for the rear mounts and 1.80's for the fronts and she is still a Monster truck in the front end. Gotta slam them some more, more like 1.70 I think I am gonna need. The rear is sitting pretty good for me.

will the new "slider chassis" and components be available seperately for those of us that already have an aggressor, kinda like an upgrade kit so to speak, or just complete kits ? .......... either way I'm sure I'll wind up with one and come bug Arnie and the rest of you guys in the CW pits at the birds ............. lol.

Took the Agressor out for its first run last night. I see where they get the name....this baby turns on a dime.

WHAT DO YOU GUYS use to lower the front end just washers the car im using is borrowed ?

Basically a combo of 2 things for me.. I use POP rivet washers for the thick spacer shims>>Because stock setup the agressor could qualify as an off road buggy...the pop rivet washers get it "somewhere in the ballpark". then I used really thin shims to get it exactly where I wanted...HPI made them if I remember correctly..they are roughly the same size as the pop rive washers just a heck of a lot thinner..

You are missing something...But thats not it.. your right all cars need shims... I was just saying the thick pop rivet washers get you close out of the bag...then I finish up my chassis offsets using the THIN hpi shims on top of it... Versus adding about 13 .010 shims.. lol

You were wrong about the t-plate thing we talked about this morning... As I was building the CW up for sandhills it hit me about where you were missing something... Ill e-mail you the answer..he he he.

I dont work for CW...but I can see about 11 different posts where it says NOV1 for the slider.. Looking at my calander> Not quite yet.. PUTNAM is a good place to get them... Thats where I got mine from PUTNAM PROPULSION last year when they were impossible to come by.. Also Im sure kipps hobbies will get some as well.. Im sure they will make an announcement here when they are ready.. ;)

Does anyone run a Monte body with the screw on type body posts? What size body posts do I need for front, middle, and rear? I may be getting an Aggressor within a few days of the first race and need to know before I get it.

I'm looking for a good setup for a snowbirds type track with CRC ozite carpet for 19T. What tires and gearing should I be looking at? Also on the Set-Up on the Custom Works website is the weights checked with the body on or off? Thanks Michael

ok, thanks for the info. contact them now.

FWIW the crossbrace and then the SUPORT for it made a huge difference on my car.. In 19t and practice open mod the car was a lot more stable in the turns.. Hands down the best upgrade ive done to the car..

That pic really only shows the support...The brace itself iss different as well... Its twice as thick Top to bottom as the original cross piece was.. If I remember to Ill take a side by side pic of the parts off the car..
