Doug P dave w 1 10-17-2005, 08:22 AM RAN the aggresor this weekend with the only 63 lap run tq and a main win this car is smooth! but fast erock1331 10-17-2005, 09:07 AM Whats the release date looking for the new chassis. In talking with Arnie last week, looks like Nov 1. Ginsu 10-17-2005, 10:04 AM www3.sympatico.ca/tqcells/images/Slider/ (http://www3.sympatico.ca/tqcells/images/Slider/) I posted these photos on thunder chat ......... look at the front end, you can slide the LF front to back. Where do ya think Katfish found them ? ....... the 1st page of the thread on thunder ............ LOL. cya at speedline I finally had a chance to talk to Custom Works.....The front end is not new.....but the shock tower was made taller to make it more rigid....hope that helps......my aggressor is on the way! dave w 1 10-17-2005, 06:26 PM OKAY RE FRESH THIS OLD MANS MEMORY FOR CASTER we race on a high loop low bite carpet what is the cause and effect of diffrent degrees of caster in relation to entering and exiting the corner Jason Lambert 10-17-2005, 06:44 PM Dave.. my findings are usually not the norm.. but I find that adding caster to the left front usually will make a car run up off the corner, removing the left front makes exit stereing better.. and the right front works the same.. add caster, it removes some steering, stand te kingpin up more, and the car will steer more. More caster in both sides will usually make the car more stable down long straitaways, car seems less twitchy that way. dave w 1 10-17-2005, 06:48 PM when you you say more caster you mean lean them back? cneyedog 10-17-2005, 06:51 PM I finally had a chance to talk to Custom Works.....The front end is not new.....but the shock tower was made taller to make it more rigid....hope that helps......my aggressor is on the way! the way you can adjust the LF ... IS .... new on the slider car, on the slider car you can slide the LF front to back on the chassis, where on the current car you move the entire assy left to right across the car when you change the locking plate position ..... on the new one it will move the entire assy front to back. I have my aggressor! ...... I was the guy sitting next to billy when you got some parts @ Speedline ........... Any official word from the powers to be at CW when the new slider chassis and kits will be available ? thanks Mike OBrien 10-17-2005, 06:53 PM ya more caster lean them back makes the car turn in harder but will make it push comming off less caster will make it not turn in as hard but makes it turn better comming off erock1331 10-17-2005, 09:50 PM Steve, Lambert, Jet, etc etc ......Anybody running a Proto Taurus body with a 10" wheelbase? Gotta slam them some more, more like 1.70 I think I am gonna need. The rear is sitting pretty good for me. cneyedog 10-23-2005, 09:56 AM will the new "slider chassis" and components be available seperately for those of us that already have an aggressor, kinda like an upgrade kit so to speak, or just complete kits ? .......... either way I'm sure I'll wind up with one and come bug Arnie and the rest of you guys in the CW pits at the birds ............. lol. erock1331 10-23-2005, 10:14 AM Took the Agressor out for its first run last night. Talk to you later, Jim dave w 1 10-24-2005, 05:30 PM WHAT DO YOU GUYS use to lower the front end just washers the car im using is borrowed ? Kenwood 10-24-2005, 05:58 PM Basically a combo of 2 things for me.. I use POP rivet washers for the thick spacer shims>>Because stock setup the agressor could qualify as an off road buggy...the pop rivet washers get it "somewhere in the ballpark". then I used really thin shims to get it exactly where I wanted...HPI made them if I remember correctly..they are roughly the same size as the pop rive washers just a heck of a lot thinner.. dave w 1 10-24-2005, 06:04 PM Basically a combo of 2 things for me.. I run .080 thick washers that RIP has. KSG makes a nice color coded set with like 5 different thicknesses. My rule of thumb: 2.25 tires - .100 spacers 2.20 - .080 2.15 - .060 2.10 - .040 losi888 10-24-2005, 08:43 PM Are the slider chassis ready. Also what is a good place to order one. Joe D. My rule of thumb: 2.25 tires - .100 spacers 2.20 - .080 2.15 - .060 2.10 - .040 You are missing something...But thats not it.. your right all cars need shims... I was just saying the thick pop rivet washers get you close out of the bag...then I finish up my chassis offsets using the THIN hpi shims on top of it... Versus adding about 13 .010 shims.. lol You were wrong about the t-plate thing we talked about this morning... As I was building the CW up for sandhills it hit me about where you were missing something... Ill e-mail you the answer..he he he. Kenwood 10-24-2005, 09:14 PM Are the slider chassis ready. Also what is a good place to order one. Joe D. I dont work for CW...but I can see about 11 different posts where it says NOV1 for the slider.. Looking at my calander> Not quite yet.. PUTNAM is a good place to get them... Thats where I got mine from PUTNAM PROPULSION last year when they were impossible to come by.. Also Im sure kipps hobbies will get some as well.. Im sure they will make an announcement here when they are ready.. ;) erock1331 10-25-2005, 11:07 AM \ou were wrong about the t-plate thing we talked about this morning... LOL icenutz 10-25-2005, 05:30 PM Does anyone run a Monte body with the screw on type body posts? What size body posts do I need for front, middle, and rear? I may be getting an Aggressor within a few days of the first race and need to know before I get it. Thanks!! Leadfoot02 10-25-2005, 05:49 PM I'm looking for a good setup for a snowbirds type track with CRC ozite carpet for 19T. What tires and gearing should I be looking at? Also on the Set-Up on the Custom Works website is the weights checked with the body on or off? Thanks Michael Jeff O 10-26-2005, 12:45 AM can anyone give me info on where to find the updated crossbrace for the side shock mounts? thanks davepull 10-26-2005, 01:44 AM www.kippshobbies.com he has them listed you need to get the crossbrace (shock tower) and the brace Jeff O 10-26-2005, 01:37 PM ok, thanks for the info. contact them now. Kenwood 10-26-2005, 01:43 PM FWIW the crossbrace and then the SUPORT for it made a huge difference on my car.. In 19t and practice open mod the car was a lot more stable in the turns.. Hands down the best upgrade ive done to the car.. BAR 26 10-26-2005, 03:28 PM does anyone have a pic of it? erock1331 10-26-2005, 03:32 PM does anyone have a pic of it? http://www3.sympatico.ca/tqcells/images/Slider/DCP_1545.JPG Kenwood 10-26-2005, 04:04 PM That pic really only shows the support...The brace itself iss different as well...
