Just wanted to let Custom Works know that the Aggessor had a great showing in 19t at FOCAR race 4 at Stricklands rc park in Ormond Beach FL. I qulaified 4th and finished 2nd Troy Shaffer was 3rd and Eddie Shaffer was 4th. I managed a 3rd place finish in Pro Stock

I appreciate the offer>>My biggest concern is Where to get a chassis>with this week being paved oval nats everywhere I usually get stuff from is kind of in closed down mode... Basically there are 2 killers on the car..the main chassis plate and the MOTOR POD Aluminum piece...That thing is Bent beyond any repair Id want to attempt..The pod graphite I forced super glue into and clamped it back together.. The front end MOST of it I had backup pieces or can get them at the LHS But the motor plate is killing me and the chassis>> anyone know of a hobby shop that has either of these stocked?? Man if this had happened a month or so later I would have just used is at the excuse to get the slider conversion kit.. lol

Yeah and depending on where/when it flexing that can be GOOD and or BAD.. there is a magical line of good versus bad on the flex issue.. thats about where Ill bow out>>>Cause I dont know what the line is>>I just know it exists.. Hence why you dont see a release date for the Kenwood 2K6 chassis kit.. LOL

Normally being the prankster that I am I would photoshop a picture of a chassis all modified with kenwood engraved to it.. But my Computer is flaking on me today and I cant get it done.. So the Kenwood 2K6 chassis kit will have to be posted later. Im just glad I now have a shot at getting the aggressor back on the track by the weekend.. :)

I'm gonna pick up one of the slider's to put under one of my cars that has a main plate with some issues.. I'm looking foreward to testing it, see how it reacts compared to the solid chassis plate.

I'm also gonna slug a Darkside bellcrank on my solid chassis car, see how the CW car likes that. I know that it works really well on the Darkside car.. should work on te CW car too.

You guys need to get ahold of Ritchie McDonald, he's the cat's azz in 19T at Sandhills.
But he runs a Silva car so good luck getting ahold of that setup. LOL

Kenwood, come to Classic and get dialed in, our setup is eerily similar to Sandhills.

Brian ... I ran the chassis at: GlennsFall, Massena, Plattsburgh, St-Rock and Granby ... all flat tracks (except St-Rock slightly banked) ... car ran superb ... perfect handling ... car had great turning characteristics and super efficient through the turns.

The availability is still at end of the month.

Well, first off, I'm not a big fan of pink/purple setup in 4-cell racing, but if you want to stick with this setup I'd definitely try reducing chassis roll like rcavenger suggested.

Moving LF in (or LR out) will create more push "mid-out" and moving LF out (or LR in) will increase steering "mid-out".

If you're in for some tire tests ... try ...

4-cell Mod (BSR)
LF: Green
RF: Black
LR: Green
RR: White-Gray
Paragon Traction Compound on all 4.

Can you please explain your reasoning that you are not a big fan of the pink/purple combo in 4-cell mod racing? Also with the speed and corning forces of a mod car it would seam that the wear of the tires you suggest to try, especially the RR, would be excessive. That would be my guess but I have never tired those tires so I would like some input before getting them. Thank you for all your help.

When the slider comes out, does anyone know if the "newer" solid chassis will have the new front end set-up on it ? thanks

Well, I tried both (pinks/purple & above setup) and I prefer the above setup ... maybe Phil Marabella can comment as well, I'm 100% sure he liked that setup at last Snowbird Nats (qualified 2nd in 4-cell mod A-Main).

Like cneyedog said the pinks/purple setup is a pain when it come to consistency (gotta wash them and so on ...) as for this setup ... you put 5-6 runs on them and they still feel great.

I knew they had a beefed up shock tower, but was unaware of a new front end......where did you get that info, as it is the first I have heard of it.....sounds interesting... :confused:

The newer front end gived you the ability to move the LF arm foreward and backwards>>Like KSG or Maverick chassis do..so its just a change in how the chassis is milled..

Re: Steering tie-rods angle ... this prototype slider chassis had the servo holes pre-drilled: 4.000" from front of chassis. On my solid chassis, I run my servo at 3.900" from front of chassis ... that's using T alu adjustable servo mounts (front of chassis to servo mount holes).

i was told to ask mr.fastman about his banked set up for the aggressor i have been running most of arnees set ups and have been good starters but i am goint to a big race this weekend and next both on banked tracks one is slow banking and big track and the other is steep banking and a little tight track any help would be great

BS motors - Email me, I'll send you my setup from Seaford, its a large slightly banked asphalt oval. I'm not sure how much help I can be with the second track you mentioned, I don't get to run on many heavily banked tracks, but I'll see if I can find some setup info for you.

Center'd T-Bar (for banked tracks) and offset pod.
Width Locator, 2nd hole on both sides
RF Purple spring, castor so it looks broke, 1.5 camber, low hole for upper arm.
LF Green spring, castor half as much as RF, 1 camber, low hole for upper arm.
10" wheelbase.
4 Jaco Purples with tire tweak.
Center Shock: 50wt #2Piston Green TC3 spring, center of shock tower.
Left Shock 30wt Blue Spring
Right Shock 30wt Gold Spring
2nd hole from top on side shock tower
LR: Outside edge even with outside edge of LF tire
RR: Start tucked in, then space out as far as you can handle it. Lots of cross-wght.
Ride height even everywhere on car except maybe rear pod height. Pod and chassis should be arc'd up slightly when sitting on surface plate.
Possibly move pack in...I liked this for turn #1 @ Mushroom Bowl to keep car from getting loose off. Able to keep the car low and turn hard in. Keep all other electrics on the left side of car.
Body: Protoform HD Monte with wing on body, wing has angle to it and far back on car.

Sounds right to me. I am going to send the setup from the Bowl and from Classic.
