burbs 06-22-2005, 01:55 PM Does anyone have any cap tire info on this car... AS far as i can see this car stinks on cap tires... I have been trying to help my buddy get hi car faster and it wont go.. there is 4 guys locally running cw's on caps.. all of them are about a lap slow...
many emails have been sent to custom works asking for any info or help... but no responce back..I would guess there is no cap tire info...
Ps if anyone is looking for a agressor . i have one my buddy wants to seelll.. 275 shipped.. car is in great shape.. a few scuffs on the chassis... id say 15 packs through the car...
SMROCKET 06-22-2005, 03:01 PM Hi BURBS , Arnie did very well last year on caps ......I am sure tjhey are busy with all the new carsd they have designed as of late....I will see all the Customworks guys this weekend at SEAFORD DELAWARE and will have them get back to ya ....

Goodwrench29 06-22-2005, 03:02 PM burbs, shoot me a PM and I'll give you a hand. I'm running an Aggressor at Trax70 in NJ and having really good results, the car is always on pace with the leaders. The track is a high banked concrete tri-oval and very fast. Just let me know what type of track and what you have under the car for a setup now.
burbs 06-22-2005, 06:12 PM Long story short, my buddy was frustrated.. he could only do 32 laps.. on our track. www.triclone.net (http://www.triclone.net/) you need at least a 33 but if you want top 5 you need a 34... some guys have even tank the 35 lap mark...
I picked up the car on fri.. rebuilt it more less like my maverick car..i was able to get the car to do a slow 33 lap run...my maverick has been 34 laps consistently... you need around 6.8 laps up front, and finish at roughly 7.2's.. i ran 15 packs through the CW.. making many changes, and i only did two 6.9's.. the other guys with the cars have not been below 6.9 either... Im flustered with the car...
sorry if the first post seemed rude. thats not how i wqanted it to be...
thanks guys
Mr.fastman 06-22-2005, 07:04 PM What side shock oil and springs are u using?
Doug P
burbs 06-22-2005, 10:48 PM our track only olive or silver sides work,, and the occasional blue... i tried 30 wt oil.. and all three springs..setups from car to car are actually very close..
I would say every combination has been used .. the other guys have been searching for weeks..
You running the tall balls on the pod? If you are heavier springs will be needed I believe....and why set it up like a maverick, it isn't one.
Mr.fastman 06-22-2005, 11:33 PM Try stiffer side to side, it made a world of difference on mine.
Doug P
jbm38 06-23-2005, 02:23 AM Burbs,
Just wondering if you tried the set-up from post #604. Curious as to the set-up you tried and worked with.
Take care,
John
burbs 06-23-2005, 02:26 AM i started it with the setup off my maverick because i knew the setup works... It was just a base to start.. as i said before.. most cars setups will transfer from one to the other...
also the setup on 605 is one of the local guys i run with... he has changed alot as well.. he made a few changes that i made and he got faster..
when i started with the car it was in the 8.0 sec lap time range... i got it down to basically 7.2 average. 7.7- 7.9 after. but then it wouldnt drop anymore... had a few 6.9 ect but up front.. need to be 4-5 tenths faster .. i should finish with 7.2-7.3 sec laps..
Basicaly my buddy had decide he wont be keeping the car... he had better lick with his old car.... but if you guys want to post more info i know the other guys i run with frequent this page for cw info..
philb1 06-23-2005, 06:34 AM Had mine on caps this weekend and last night, not off at all. Will post setup after I get home from work tonight.
