Dave,

Use the small hub. I think the T-Plates are a little differen in their bottom plate mounting hole spacing. GTX, can't help you there.

Good Luck,

Dave E-mail me I'll get you some pics Lighteningmotorsports@msn.com.
The T-plate is similar but not the same as the old associated t-plate, the longer side is slightly longer. C.W. has soft, med, and firm S.S. t-plates and .063 and .075 FG Plates for the car.

Just curious, how would one go about getting one of those light weight hubs as seen on some of the team drivers cars? Apparently they take 4 grams of rotating mass off of the axle and look pretty trick too.

Any comments Arnie or Rob?

Just bought an Aggressor and have a few questions about the front end. I assume that the "front track plates" are used to keep the lower arms from moving in or out in the sloted holes they mount in (so your front end width doesn't get changed if you take a hit etc.). What I noticed is that the set up photos that Steve published his right side plate is angled opposite of what it should be, instead of the edge trailing in towards the center of the chassis it trails to the outside (the left side plate trails in towards the center as the kit instructions show), what gives with that? Also the picture of the complete chassis on the front cover of the instructions and in the photos Steve published there are some sort of collars on both ends of the upper arm suspension pins, there are none in the kit. Are these available? It looks like they would locate the arms in one spot on the pins and make the castor adjustment easier. I looked through the thread and saw nothing about these questions, have they been addressed and I just missed them? And since I am writing, what is the wheelbase using the first and last sets of holes for mounting the lower front suspension arms? In other words, what is the maximum and minimum wheelbase for the chassis? Thanks Ralf 13

I think Steve got his car pretty early so allot of the parts weren't complete yet. In his pictures he is just using two of the same track plates on both sides. This accomplishes the same thing but he has to have the locating screw toward the front instead of the back (or vise versa) on one side. I think what you are seeing with the hinge pins is for the same reasons. I know those hinge pins were the hold up for the first shipment of kits. Steve just improvised a little until he could get everthing he needed.

Thanks Brent, was scratching my head over those pictures ! Am hoping to race with Kelm and the boys back at the "New Pontoon Speedway" in March when I go back to St. Louis to visit my Parents and want to get the car built right, competition is pretty fierce back there! Thanks again. Ralf 13

RCAvenger:
With standard length pod: 9 5/8" 10" 10 3/8"
With the long pod set-up: 10" and 10 3/8"

this was posted ont the first page 10 3/8 is real close to the same wheel base as an L4.

I guess you could make it longer by using the front holes on the front end and the long pod set up.

I figured out how to mount a GTX.

If I want the centered rear pod using the offset t-plate which holes in the lower rear pod plate do I mount the t-bar to? The left most set as the instructions say or the right most set? Thanks Ralf 13

These are Trinity adjustable servo mounts I've had for like ... 5-6 years.

Ok, the adjustable ones look better ... but be assured the stock plastic servo mounts work just fine as well ... when changing front height just shim the servo mounts the same amount and you'll be allset.

Todd - Any plans on updating the website so orders can be placed, or would you rather have the phone calls? When calling, would having the part number be easier? You take paypal right? Once the order is placed will you send an invoice via paypal? Or how would that work? Sorry for so many questions. Thanks!

I just can't seem to get enough rear bite to make the car push a little.

I'm running Whites in the rears and Double Blue on RF and Blue on LF (TRC). Stock Tplate, Center shock 50wt oil and tried all the center springs. Wolfe cooper seems about the best. Side shocks have 30wt oil and tried all of the Assc. springs. Cooper on the right side and gold on the left seems to work the best. The front, LF green spring and right purple. 2 position from the top and 0 / 2 degree of caster. Front end is in the narrow position. Battery all the way left and in the center. Stock Class
I tried the setup Steve posted but it made my lap time worse. The track I run on is high bite. I did run modified this way and she was quick and glued to the track.

Any suggestions?

I would try running the RF in the middle position on the locator. Also, how is the left rear hub shimmed? I assume all the way in? Try running the left rear just slightly out verses the LF. One or both of theses adjustments should help your car.

Please let me know,

Brian

Try moving the rt frt. out to one in from the farthest out. Also try a softer center spring or less preload.
If you post your email I'll send you some more detailed setup info.

Wow must be a big track!
Ran in the ORL series this past weekend with the C.W. car, TQ'ed and set a new track record, also ran on BSR's for the first time excellent tires.
