With only two weekend left of summer racing, I'm looking to get some feedback or ideas for summer oval racing. Maybe running a summer series once a month on our normal Saturday schedule? Dates would April 8th, May 20th, June 17th, July 8th, August 5th and September 16th. Probably 4 of 6 count for the series. Maybe we could try a different race format? Just an update on our summer series. Dates will be April 8th, May 20th, June 17th, July 8th, August 5th, September 16th with 4 of 6 counting in the point. I know some of these may conflict with other schedules but, these could be changed if needed in some cases. Check the website for full schedule.

Didnt get back from Vegas until about 3 this morning. So how was the first one??

Results from race one of the Oval Summer Series. Turnout was so-so, racing was a blast, all had fun. No sprint cars? Hope to see the Lincoln guys for the next race on May 20th. That is a Marshalltown weekend so turnout for 4300 may be low but, Stock and PLEX should have a good group.

Thanks to Jim Carson and Shaggy for making the trip, hope you can make most of the races. Also, Thanks to my car owner, Mike Lafferty, for letting me out qualify him. ;) Hope my main will be better next time. :thumbsup:

Only one week until race #2 of the Summer Oval Series!! Marshalltown is running next weekend also so we may be missing a few but I think the turnout should be OK. Just a reminder guys, the last race of the HobbyPLEX Oval Summer Series is next Saturday September 16th. The following Saturday, September 23rd, will be a Test & Tune race day and the next Saturday, September 30th, is the start of the fall season. Time is growing short to get ready for the season, just a few weeks to go.

I'm looking foward to a great season of racing. Looks like brushless is where it's at this year!! With 4300 established, the 13.5 on its way and the formation of the BRL, it looks like the future is now!!

If anyone has questions or needs info, please let me know.

New motor is in---new body is being worked on----car is up on its stand waiting for its new set of tires and the driver is ready to race. Looking forward to the new season.

Hey Tim can we move it to this weekend??? I am going to be in Denver next week and want to race..

No racing today :cry: , only five cars, got in some good practice though. No change in the point series, Phil Beardshear wins 4300 and Tim Marks wins Stock.

Test & Tune race next Saturday!! :) Hope to see everyone out to get ready for a great season.

You bet Bryon, as long as we have enough consistently. I know a few guys that have them already and I think we still have one or two left on the shelf. We will be adding the BRL 13.5 Sportsman class to our HobbyPLEX Fall Oval Shootout in November.
