Definitely a lot of racing going on! Congrats to Charlie Moon on his continued thwarting of 19-0, and to the Captain on his A main win!

Read my post. It is a great track, awesome facility but no rules. Like I mentioned. Im fine with it I guess but why run 5 min. 19 turn races when they are supposed to be 4. Why allow p-94 brushes when they are illegal in roar competition. Why run quad mag stock motors (again, illegal) even though they dont have any major advantage. I guess I like some teching to go on so that everyone and everything is out in the open. It takes away question marks and makes the racing better. Where Im going with this is that I know HP has plans to host a sanctioned event. Why shouldnt we race under the roar rules so that we can all prepare for the rules we will have to race under for that event. Im not trying to make waves at all. I was just asking everyones opinion. Maybe no one cares and that is fine too. Dead subject I guess.

Track records (someone correct me if Im wrong)

stock 65 laps Pil B
19 turn 5 min. open 72 laps Rob M (p-94 quad mag though)
Open mod 62 laps Rob M
19-0 ? not sure on that one
Also, all of those were under the old track size of 172 feet. It is 179 or so this year so I suppose all of those are dead records.

Thanks to everyone who came down to race yesterday. Everyone seemed to have a really great time. Congrats to Charlie -- you are still my hero! And congrats to Phil for his new track record in the Nextel Cup class.

I know that this is off topic, but I want to get a Putnam motor and some brushes. I know that JS up in Hadar has some of the stuff, but I would much rather get it locally. If anyone can help me out great or direct me to where I can get something by hopefully next weekend. Thanks

Omaha racing --

We've got Putnam motors and brushes in stock - what type are you looking for ?

I appreciate all the tips from you Craig and one of these days I will get my stuff together and give you some competition. Hope to see more of you oval guys in Omaha at HobbyPlex

Thanks it's been fun so far. I got your body done, but I don't like the way it turned out. I'll show you this weekend, if you don't like it I will buy you a new one and you can let me try again (I still have some other ideas) or you can paint it. Either way you can see it this weekend.

Sorry to hear about the family mess. Don't worry about the body, they usually don't last long on my chassis anyway. Lafferty turned a 61 on Saturday, I doubt if Craig will be giving him any more tips. Hope you are able to make the two day race on the 30th & 31st.

Great 2 day race at HobbyPlex in Omaha, thanks to Tim Ski for running a well managed weekend and all the racers for making it a great event. My favorite event stock class was better than ever this weekend, a lot of close racing was to be found. Our racing brothers from Colorado were very competitive and Bill Murdock showed all of us how its done by winning the stock A main. Looking forward to a great season.

All classes were something to watch. That is by far the best that I have seen that track yet for a good oval groove. I had a lot of fun as did all the rest of the crowd it appeared. I am very happy for my dad Bill Murdock and his awesome victory in the stock class. I put a little effort into things last week for him with the tires, motors and car and it showed. But it wouldnt have happened without the man behind the wheel. Gotta thank KCR motors and batteries as well as H drive for the equipment to help make it happen. GREAT JOB DAD ;).

Congradulations to the winners in all classes and track records holders. The records were falling from round one.
