Took us 6 hours to get back to KC with the snow storm :freak: Well be back for sure. Jake RACER185 01-23-2007, 10:38 PM Hey B Mullins where have you been. Are you out of town TDY or just busy with the kids. Come on down this Saturday, Mike & I will be there. Jim SDL98 02-12-2007, 10:27 PM Hey it looks like this might be the last weekend to get some laps in at the Plex before the BRL race. Hope mother nature lets me make it out there. HobbyPLEX 02-13-2007, 06:44 PM Your right, one more Saturday before the BRL race, big onroad race next weekend. Looks like about 30 and only 10% chance of snow for Saturday. Any local guys interested in running Monday night, Febuary 26th? I'd like to spray the track and try to work a little of a groove in after the onroad race, probably from 6-9PM. If I can get six to ten cars, that should be enough to get the groove going. Let me know. Tim Ski B mullins 02-14-2007, 07:34 PM Racer185 I just found your post. I have been busy with college and playing paintball as of lately. Thinking of trying to make it back into racing next fall, if this job ever calms down. Good luck to all in the BRL race. HobbyPLEX 02-17-2007, 08:47 PM What's up B!! We will be running practice on February 26th to get a groove started after the Carpet Onroad Challenge onroad race!! Here's who is on the list: Jim & Mike Carson, Randy Ryder, BATMAN, Phil B, Shaggy, Dennis Johnson, Chad Loveless, Mike Garrett, Mike Soltau, The Captain and Mike Lafferty. If anyone else would like to get some laps in, post your name here so I know what to expect. Thanks, Tim Ski B mullins 02-23-2007, 02:21 PM What time are you practicing on Monday? If Stan has my permission slip signed then I will be there. SDL98 02-26-2007, 10:21 PM How's that groove comming HobbyPLEX 02-27-2007, 01:11 AM It was pretty good, some 4.0s is 4300 and some 4.3s in 13.5. It doesn't look pretty right now with the road course groove showing so black but the oval groove came in nicely. :) Tim Ski HobbyPLEX 03-02-2007, 01:09 PM Sorry guys looks like mother nature is going to take her first win of the season. Every highway into Omaha is shut down. The roads are covered and blowing and drifting snow is preventing the plows from clearing them. After talking with the Hobbyplex crew in the interest of safety we fell the best decision is to postpone the race until next weekend. Sorry guys there just is no good decision in this situation. For those that have spent the money to travel or taken the time off work I apologize for the inconvenience. But I would feel much worse if somebody got hurt in a car accident trying to get to the race. After all it is just a hobby. Unfortunately the BRL race will be postponed until next week because of the weather. For the locals interested, we will be running regular races tomorrow and the track will be open today for practice. Hope mother nature cooperates next weekend. Tim Ski philb1 03-03-2007, 06:32 PM John Sparks with fast lap by .023 seconds in 4300, THANKS to the Mich guys for coming to play, hope to see ya back here next week! HobbyPLEX 03-03-2007, 07:20 PM We will be racing oval tomorrow! If you get dug out and want to come out and play, doors open at 8AM and racing at 11:30. Tim Ski SDL98 03-03-2007, 09:41 PM Man I got cabin fever just might have to do that B mullins 03-03-2007, 09:44 PM I will be back for some more punishment see ya in the morning. Thanks again Tim JOHNNYTANLINE 03-04-2007, 01:11 PM A big THANK-YOU! to Tim & Phil & all the gang at the Plex. . . And to all the racers prevented from showing due to weather, if you've not been here befor, all I can say is WOW! what a race-place. In fact your not gonna belive what these guys did for us three (Mark & Mike), who flew in yesterday, thats right, flew. It seems going OVER the storm was the way to go. Anyway, they #1 : wouldn't let let us pay to race in a "club-race" on Sat. #2: provided us with paragon, (airlines wont let you take it onboard) #3: gave us all one of those cool orange Novak hats. (seems I forgot a comb & they were just helping a guy out) And finally #4: Tim & Phil gave each one of us the brand new Protoform T.H.D. body. Thank-you, Thank-you all for the generocity, & a fun raceday at the track. I'll do all I can to make it next week! John S. HobbyPLEX 03-04-2007, 07:19 PM Thank you John, it's the least we could do since you made the trip. I'm glad you all had a good time, hope to see you all again! Track was even faster today!! Three runs broke Ben Sacketts 74/5:04.175 track record in 4300!! Nearly one lap put on the track record, 74/5:00.480 for Phil Beardshear!!! Rob Murdock ran a 74/5:03.303 in qualifiying to break the record as well! Phil also backed up the record by laying down a 74/5:03.926 in the main! You can see all the results here:http://www.hobbyplexraceway.com/results_oval/index.php?path=2007+Winter/ Can't wait till next weekend, should be some awesome fast racing!!! Tim Ski MURDOCKRC 03-04-2007, 09:46 PM Track was incredible today Tim.
