Wow was it a tough day on electronics. 3 BL motors, 3 speed controls, 1 charger, 1 new battery that I know of. Expensive day I would say. Tim and Kyle lost both speed control and motors.

Track was quick though. Except for the ice patch in 1 and 2 that seems to be popping up. Had a good time anyway

AWESOME RACING TODAY!!

Legends are back! More and more 13.5 cars every week, great qualifying run Bill, new track record in 13.5, 66/5:04.434, breaking the old stock record. :) Super close racing 4300, less than .2 between 1st & 2nd and .6 between 3rd & 4th.

Sorry about your LRP BBQ Kyle, that's two in two weeks!  Might have to try the Orange.

Tim. I think the 13.5 class will get even bigger. From what I've been hearing there is going to be a good crowd of them for the two day. I predict that the track record will be broken by someone in every heat.

Glad to see the Legends. IMO this is a great starter class for a newbee and a fun class for those that don't want to spend alot of money and still get a great car. The owner of the new Legends company, I hear, is dedicated to continue to produce parts and kits so the parts for them will always be readily available. And the Plex is an excellent track for the Legends.

And congratulations from the Murdock family to Alex on the birth of his new son.

Alex--- I started my son in R/C with a Grasshopper when he was 8 years old and my daughter got a Hornet when she was 3. Almost 30 years later we are still having fun with this great sport. Wouldn't change a thing. Let us know what your son's first R/C car will be. Again Congrats.

See ya in 2 weeks,

Bill M.

It'll probably be the new 1/36 scale losi truck as soon as his hands are big enough to hold the controller.

Or if Associated comes out with one, I'll buy it instead...

Thanks Tim and thank you for the point series prize. Had a lot of fun as always at the Plex. Anyone that has been here knows that this is one of the best.

Great to see some of the guys from Vinton over this Saturday. Always a great bunch to race with.

Hats off to Richard on his point series wins. But Richard outdid himself this weekend with the homemade fudge. Now I don't think Richard gets on these pages but for those of you who don't know Richard Hensley he always brings donuts. But this Sat. he brought donuts and WHAT HE SAID was HIS homemade fudge that he spent all night making. Now I don't care who made it but it was GOOOOOOOOOD !!!! We had fudge, donuts, and we also had some coffee. Once in awhile the Mullins' will bring cookies. Now it doesn't get anybetter then that---Fudge, donuts, coffee and cookies.

But the funniest thing this weekend was Eddie Ridley's wife whom I don't think has been at the track before. Her and some other women were placing bets on the car they thought was going to win each race. I believe Mrs. Ridley won twelve bucks. They were clapping and cheering and having a great time. But, as she was leaving, while counting her winnings, she turned around to some of us and said that the place smelled like a room full of old people wearing Ben Gay. Now if she thought that the place had a strong Ben Gay odor Saturday she should smell the place this March during the BRL race.

Sonny, I think the crowd in March will be big at the Plex So everyone bring your Ben Gay (Paragon) and let's fill this place up.

See Ya,

Bill Murdock

Mike Soltau's Ip 4200 4 cell pack blew up today. The first cell went off in his hand, the second cell went off on his pit table. Then, Phil put the rest of the pack in a trash can and the third cell went off while in he was taking it outside. Finally, I heard the final cell blow up and I thought it was all over.

In about a half hour Roger called down and asked if I knew that there was a FIRE outside the back door.

Outside, the fire had completely melted the trash can and burnt all of the trash to a crisp.

It was the wierdest thing. I've seen more Nimh's blow up in the last six months than I've seen in my entire life.

I thought Lipo's were supposed to dangerous!
