Yeah, if you've got 6 hours to kill! We usually watch one feature at a time during dinner.

Summer weekends are for sitting on the back porch reading; winter weekends are for building models. NOT for sitting in front of a TV all day. :)

Yeah, but it'll still be Fall when it comes out......and Fall weekends are for easing back into the recliner and watching extended "Making of's" on DVD. :D

Wait a second; that lists the entire feature on Disc 1, and shows it only running 200 minutes. The original film was 195 minutes, and they're supposed to be adding 50 minutes for this, and they're gonna fit it all on one disc? That doesn't sound right.

Oops, someone screwed up here.

I went to lordoftherings.net to verify and it is incorrect. What someone has done is list the features of disks 3 and 4 of the EXTENDED edition and then list the features of disks 1 and 2 of the THEATRICAL edition. The listing matches the contents of the DVD in front of me exactly. So far, the EE's have not duplicated any of the extras from the theatrical versions.

I believe that the listing for disks 3 and 4 are correct and disks 1 and 2 will be the extended 250 minute film. Notice that at the top of the listing they DO say the feature is 250 minutes.

Yeah, the inconsistency is what threw me. Thanks for clearing that up!

Why is'nt this out in November like the other SEs? An OUTRAGE! That city sculpture thing is STUPID. I can't wait for the 20 inch NECA Reel Toys Gandalf and Saruman b/c they ought to be superb with dead on likenesses!
I can only hope they come out next. Be nice if they did a Frodo. The Weta figure blows and is the worst of the lot likeness wise.
I'm getting a Saruman staff at 50% off to add to my 3 LOTR swords and Excalibur '81 movie sword. I have an ersats Conan one too.
