PanMan 09-22-2004, 08:09 PM Just thought I'd start a discussion about Aaron's track in the Washington, PA mall. The season is getting close.
Is Aaron going to open for racing on Sundays soon? Will the hours be the same as last year? I always had fun racing at his track. I'm looking forward to racing there again this fall and winter.
Is Aaron or Jim out there?
Kevin
Mike OBrien 09-22-2004, 08:12 PM panman whats up long time no see
Snookie 09-22-2004, 08:24 PM PanMan, whats up. Yes. I was told 1st Sunday in Oct.

highster 09-22-2004, 08:34 PM Cool sound good. What was the hours?
highster 09-23-2004, 05:02 PM Anyone plan one going down this Friday night? I was thinking about heading down that way.
I see steel city is planning on running some touring cars on Friday. Wonder how that will work out with frequencies?
MaxxMadness 09-23-2004, 07:29 PM ^massive R/C mayhem at the mall....lol
PanMan 09-23-2004, 08:27 PM Mike O'Brien - How're you doing? You're right - long time no see. I'm doing ok.
Highster - Snookie can correct me if I'm wrong but Aaron's raced on Sundays and I think he opened at 10:00 am with racing starting around 12:00 noon. Snookie - Am I right? Aaron's track is oval only - no road course.
Kevin
Snookie 09-23-2004, 09:53 PM PanMan that is correct.
Oval only. No roadcorse to share time with. Plenty of time for set-up.
Sunday racing starts in Oct. Check web site for up date.
Working on Saturdays, so I''ll be there on most Sundays...
Snookie 09-27-2004, 07:10 PM Racin at Aarons on Sundays?
PanMan 09-27-2004, 08:07 PM Snookie - I PLAN on being there this Sunday (10-03-04). I know that date has been mentioned as the start for Sunday racing at Aaron's but I still don't see any "official" word. Just came back from the website and it stills says "to be announced soon - check back often". I wish someone would verify the start date. I'd hate to make the drive for nothing!
Also, I see that the next race for River Junction will be on October 16th. Definitely count me "out" on that one. I'm booked the 16th and 23rd. No can do.
I hope to see a lot of folks at Aaron's for Opening Day!
Kevin
highster 09-29-2004, 03:45 PM Anyone know for sure if this is the Sunday to start the season?
Snookie 09-29-2004, 08:19 PM There is a call and e-mail in to Aaron about Sunday.
As soon as I hear from Mustang, it will be posted.
I was told the 1st Sunday of Oct. we would be racing.
Can also check the web site for up-dates.
www.Fultonshobbies.com
It's now official posted on Web site starts this Sunday at noon (10/3). Doors open at 10 :)
MUSTANG 09-29-2004, 09:37 PM Talked to Aaron.....he is ready to race this Sunday. Doors open at 10:00 am, racing at noon. Reverend is already talking smack.....Watch out Snook.....lol....
Good Luck to all !! Drive It!!
PanMan 09-30-2004, 07:38 PM Yep, I saw it on the web site, too. Opening the 3rd at 10 am - racing at noon. Good deal!
Really nice, fun track to race at. Great people, "no pressure" racing - just lots of fun - the way it should be. To those who have never raced at Aaron's, take a trip this Sunday. Fun is guaranteed!
See everyone on Sunday!
Kevin
Snookie 09-30-2004, 07:42 PM Aaron, you the man. Can't wait till Sunday. Had fun hangin out with the Deadman at The Raceway, hope you and your crew can make it to The Original Washington Track.
Mustang, is Hack G racing with you? And maybe your brother?
highster 09-30-2004, 08:54 PM As of now it looks pretty good for us making it down. The down side is we all have a bachelor party for a fellow RCer on Sat. night. :(
Snookie 10-01-2004, 07:32 PM Kick the tires and lite the fires, lets go racin...
highster 10-03-2004, 04:35 PM Bad news, bad news, Dang work had to go and stop my racing again this weekend. How was it?
Snookie 10-03-2004, 06:30 PM PanMan great racing with you today. Racing at Aarons is always a fun time. Didn't even mind getting black flaged in the 3rd heat. Can not wait till next week. Mustang and HackG, you boys missed out.
PanMan 10-04-2004, 08:17 PM Snookie - You were dialed and had the HP. I don't want to hear anymore stories about "bad" batteries and "dog" motors. You had fastest time all day. Sorry about your stop and go penalty! I had a great time trying to stay in front of you. Good racing!
Thanks to Aaron for the day of fun. The Bombers ran 6 car heats! We warmed up some brake FETs on that one!
I hope to be there this weekend, then I'm going to have to miss the next 2 to 3 weeks in a row! Work! Uuuuggghhh!
Kevin
Snookie 10-06-2004, 09:28 PM Tom, racing Sunday was a blast. Had to be there to see the stop and go penalty. Sometimes I think we have too much FUN. :jest:
AStephens 10-07-2004, 12:56 AM snook i feel left out you didn't mention my name.
Snookie 10-07-2004, 05:46 AM You were to busy racing across the hall, then they bashed you on the other thread...
Snookie 10-08-2004, 08:07 PM Who's in on Sunday? Bombers are the bomb...
PanMan 10-09-2004, 07:46 AM Snookie - count me in! I'll be puttin' new "P" brushes in the spec motor today so watch out all you bombers! I'm also ready with my 2400/3000 car so .......... LET'S GO RACIN'!
Kevin
What is a good starting point for 4 cell stock pan car gear ration for this track?
Snookie 10-09-2004, 10:38 PM I beleve Kevin and I both are runnin a 1.90 rollout.
I am runnin a Green 3 motor 112 spur 30 pinion (3.73)ratio, tires are 57mm.
Monster H drop down 1 tooth to a 29.
PanMan 10-10-2004, 07:12 AM kaug - Snookie gave you good info there.
I, too, am running Green Machine 3 motors. They seem to have more punch for this short track. I just put new rear tires on so they're big - 2.3" or 58.4 mm. To get my rollout, I have a 108 spur and a 30 pinion - equaling a 3.6 gear ratio.
Snookie's right - if you're going to run a Monster, drop at least one tooth.
Kevin
RcDinge 10-10-2004, 07:25 AM You were to busy racing across the hall, then they bashed you on the other thread...
Snookie, You seem to be a smart and fun guy with racing. It looks like you poke more fun at SCH than anyone else. You poke at AStephens more than anyone too. :jest: Just an observation; I think everyone in this hobby is fun and competitive but it can be brutal at times. I'm off to memphis, got a delivery. Back in 3 weeks.
Sunday racing only here in the mall? How long does the racing run till?
Snookie 10-10-2004, 12:05 PM Be careful what you wish for.
RacerXAX 10-10-2004, 04:19 PM Be careful what you wish for.
Why the edit? lol Something seems to be eating away at you? It can't be that astephens beats you now could it? :) How was racing today?
Snookie 10-10-2004, 06:25 PM PanMan, sorry I could not make todays race. Had out of town guests. Hope all went well. Let me know when your racing next. Racing with you is always a pleasure.
After helping Denny add Chuck set-up thier Bombers last week, how did they look today?
PanMan 10-10-2004, 07:56 PM Well, Snookie, you missed a good one. I thought you were going to be there and was surprised when you didn't show.
The Bombers were unbelieveable! 6 cars showed and Aaron decided to run 3 and 3. We ran a four car main. I TQ'd with 59 laps! We started the race and I bobbled right off the start and Denny got around me. He and I raced nose-to-tail for 3 1/2 minutes until I forgot how to drive and clipped the inside of two turns in a row. That did it. Denny pulled away. Denny won with 60 LAPS! 60 LAPS IN A BOMBER! I was second with 59, Dale was third with 58 and Chuck was fourth, but I didn't get his lap count. Chuck's car seemed to handle fine but he's down on speed and it appears that his batteries are giving up the ghost. He's geared down and still only has about 30 seconds of run time left after the race. Something's wrong. Denny's car was obviously ballistic!
We all ran 2400's in the pan stock class. I TQ'd with 61. The main was a tough battle between Billy and I, with Aaron and Steve pretty close behind. I was able to get around Billy about 1 1/2 minutes into the race and was lucky enough to hold on for the win. I had a 60 lap run, despite some driving errors that cost me a lap or two.
The usual good races were also held in the truck, Mini-T, Legends and 1/12 th scale classes. Another day of fun at Aaron's track.
Wish you could have been there.
I'm out for the next three weeks. I won't be racing anywhere, including Beaver on the 16th. I have other committments for the next three weekends. I'll probably return to Aaron's to race on Sunday, November 7. I'll keep you posted here on Hobbytalk.
See ya'!
Kevin
Snookie 10-10-2004, 08:44 PM Kevin, thank you for the update. I guess I did to good of a job on Dennys ride.

highster 10-11-2004, 06:20 PM They? I belive it was one person. :o
You are probably right one person,
But on that thread ONE person can seem like three or four before he edits all of his posts.
PanMan 10-11-2004, 06:53 PM OK, guys. Cool it.
This thread is about having fun racing at a very friendly local club track. You should post here if you want information or to discuss the day's racing or for directions on how to get to Aaron's track or just about anything racing related.
This thread IS NOT for bashing anyone or perpetuating "stories" or fighting childish games.
I started this thread to let others know about a great local track. You're dragging my thread through the mud and I don't care for that. If you've got issues, that's what Private Messaging is for. Keep your comments in private messages or to yourselves. The rest of us don't want to hear it.

Kevin, I'm right with you. If they really wanted, they could make an entirely NEW THREAD and have auditions for SOUTHPARK or AS THE STOMACH TURNS, MANY LIFES TO LIVE, or ???
Thank you to Aaron for putting up with this for so long- you're up for saint-hood. Time to post the starting times for Sunday's racing, as well as what a new racer can expect when visiting YOUR race place, since this thread is for YOUR track. John
