What a waste!.... to think that someone who looks like that is just gonna turn INVISIBLE!

Would it have killed 20th to issue a full body shot?
I worried that the rest of her ensemble may be a pair of baggy cargo pants!

Hot as Alba is (been in love with her since the "Flipper" remake), I still think she's odd casting for the blonde, whitebread mother-figure of the group.

Since the Marvel charaters are official elements at the Universal theme parks, how did 20th get them?

[QUOTE=Nighteagle2001sorry, wrong flipper[/QUOTE] What ever happened to those "weapons of mass destruction" anyway? "Shock and awe?" "Mission accomplished?"...I thought this board was for discussing movies with neat looking stuff in them, and I don't recall any worthy subjects in "Wag the Dog".

Because a licence for the charaters to appear at the theme parks isnt the same thing as the rights to make a movie....... Universals theme park licenses characters from many studios/companies, including universals film-making rivals, completly independantly of the filmmaking arm of the corperation. x-men was fox, and spider-man was columbia.

Was she wearing blue?!?! Oh come now! When did she ever wear anything but black on that show? Black leather. Tight. Black. Leather.

Yup. (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0111964/)1995. It's what Brian Whimmer did after China Beach.

Paltrow would have been a good Sue. Smart but subserviant to hubby. If that is the final Thing I'm not happy.

I happened to see some cartoon show, the {something} brothers, and they did a parody of the FF. The leader was a stretchy scientist named Professor Impossible "he thinks he's so fantastic", who had a wife who could make her skin go invisible, "gross" who was forced to stay in her room by her hubby. Her brother lit on fire....all the time, and it hurt him like being on fire, so he had to stay in a glass tube. And finally a big orange "retard" as they said. It was hilarious.

The best FF parody ever was the Roger Corman film :freak:.

Somewhere I have an old "Not Brand Ecch!" comic with Marvel's own FF parody. Mr Fantastic countered every brag that Dr Doom spouted with "Oh yeah? Well I've got a hundred pair of stretch socks!"

(God, WHY does this stuff stay in my head!?)

I happened to see some cartoon show, the {something} brothers, and they did a parody of the FF. Yeah, I caught that too! Sunday night, I think, don't know what it's usual time slot is. Was surprised, usually I hate the stuff on Adult Swim, at least the original stuff like Sealab or that thing with talking fast food (do people actually watch that?). Unlike those, The Venture Brothers was actually funny (to fans of the aforementioned...well, to each their own).

The Venture Brothers are like the Hardy Boys crossed with that kid you guys all enjoyed in the Sixties - what's his mame, kid with a dog and an adventurer father? Johnny somebody? Anyway, the Venture Brothers are like that only without a brain cell between 'em. They hang out with a macho super-agent type, their father Doctor Venture is a washed-up bitter scientist who could have been a genius.

The FF parody had The Reed figure as a manipulative egomaniac running his own company to aggrandize himself, and can always be found stretching his ear down the hall to spy on his wife and eployees. Because of his carelessness, an accident gave his wife the ability to turn invisible - but only her skin. She's constantly grossing everyone out because she forgets to concentrate on keeping her innards and facial musculature hidden. Her brother erupts in flame whenever eposed to oxygen, so he can't use his "ability" without screaming in agony the whole time. The guy who's turned into a rock is as dumb as one.

As much as I like Jessica Alba's figure, one must wonder HOW a typical latin woman, with brown eyes, dark skin and dark hair is suposedly to portrait Sue Richards, The Invisible Woman, which is a typical blue eyed caucasian blonde ???

Her brown eyes, dark skin and dark hair will be invisible, of course.
