Anybody rememeber this show (about 10 years back) I really thought it was pretty good. It had a little bit of everything, even scifi. Great theme music too. http://www.briscocountyjr.com/

TBS or TNT reran this show a couple years back, and it is still a lot of fun. I thought it was strange that it and X-FILES started the same year (I think BRISCOE was on FOX at 8 and X- and 9 on Fridays), but BRISCO didn't catch on. Campbell did some developing as an actor on this show too (even though I like him just fine as ash before that.) Shows that know how to use John Astin properly only come along once or twice in a generation!

There was another similar western that started around the same time - anybody remember that? I don't remember the title, but they used the "lead character as an old man telling the story" framing technique. What I remember most is the lovely Brenda Bakke (http://freespace.virgin.net/nicola.bailey/brenda680.bmp) playing the town "fallen woman" who went by the moniker "The Wren."

Oops, wait, I got it: "Ned Blessing."

I always enjoy seeing Olympic highlights with Brisco's music playing behind them.
That NBC chose that music for their Olympic coverage for the last decade always makes me smile.

Steve, or Hank,

If that is not the official site, then the search engine at the bottom of the page does not seem to know. Here is a copy of what appears in this thread;
