rctom243 09-22-2005, 08:21 PM I never realized how good of packs you can get from RC4LESS. I ordered 2 SMC 3800 packs and when they came in I thought I had turned into a sponsored driver for SMC. One pack was better than a SMC driver was running at our track! My new Pro3 is ripp'en!
Way to go Bruce, thanks for the Hot Packs! WOW!

RC4less 09-23-2005, 06:01 AM No Problem Tom, glad we were able to help. The last shipment I received were KILLER to say the least.

Some one has to show the Florida Boys what a real race car can do with Orange rims on it! HEHEHE

BRDRACING 09-23-2005, 11:08 AM I hear you.! I will have to bring a few friend to run blocker for me! LOL
Tommygun43 09-26-2005, 02:33 PM Almost got it done at Maximus S.O.S. ... came up one tenth of a second short at the finish line to Eric Salvas. Qualified 2nd to Mike Valentine in 19 turn, cars were awsome with the Rc4less tires.
davepull 09-26-2005, 09:04 PM what compounds did you run?

ovalrc 09-27-2005, 09:51 AM Hey Tommy, that was an awesome show you guys put on in the A. Was fun to watch. With performance like that I'll be giving these orange wheels a try.
See you soon somewhere, Bill Bombard
RC4less 09-28-2005, 08:02 PM Hey Tommy, great showing up at MAXIMUS. That Salvas is a tough guy to get the best of as is Mike V.
Thanks

highroller 10-10-2005, 03:44 PM I bought two sets of RC4Less tire but ran into a problem of trying to true them, and the same problem with TRCs. The retaining hub on Cobra with not tighten down enough to hold rim securely. Anyone else encounter this problem and what did you use to remedy the problem. I'd hate to have to purchase another tire truer especially having buying extra cutters and arbors for other vehicles.
But I'm open to suggestions.

ovalrc 10-10-2005, 04:45 PM What tire truer are you using?
I had the same problem with the rear tire arbor on my Hudy truer. The center section of the wheel is thin, and you can't tighten it down. I made some shims out of an old box that a battery pack had come in, two of them was enough to take up the space and now it snugs up fine. I will be having the arbor turned down so I will no longer need the shims.
highroller 10-10-2005, 09:31 PM It's the Cobra AC tire truer.
rcgen 10-10-2005, 09:44 PM I use the front arbors with the notch towards the inside of the rim and clamp it down.

Hey Coles, the arbors on a Cobra should be the same as a MaxMod and that is what I use at the track. I don't have any problems clamping either the fronts or rears. You didn't mention if you were having problems on the fronts or rears but I am guessing it is the rears. If the flange is a little too deep on the arbor then use a large thin flat washer between the wheel and the arbor. You might have to drill a hole in the washer if yours has the roll pin like mine does. Washer can't be too thick though or the wheel won't center up.
E-mail me at rc4less@comcast.net and we'll work something out.
Thanks

Tom Pedano 10-11-2005, 06:49 AM I also had the same problem with the Corba truer. I fixed it by drilling and tapping the retaining hub deeper. I don't remember what size the tap was, but I can find out if you need to know it.
TinManSEP 10-11-2005, 10:05 AM All I did on my Cobra A/C lathe was to cut the stud back a little and no problems!!
highroller 10-11-2005, 03:07 PM I never got around to trying the fronts, really. Got a little peeved after trying to get the rears aligned, only to have the threaded rod get pulled out and stuck in the hub. I believe the rod is 3/16 diameter (not exactly sure now) but one of the hubs I got once weren't threaded and I had to tap and thread it - tap broke and had to get another one from Cobra.
Bruce you've been a big help already, thanks.
To the rest you've also given me some ideas thanks.
rickster58 10-11-2005, 05:15 PM As long as the foam is consistant and the wheels run true,(and the front bearings fit properly) I don't care if the wheels are pink, purple yellow or black. It's not about show, it's all about go. I think the wheels look cool. But then again, I'm kind of partial to orange.....
Charlie,
They batman should apply that line of reason to his discussionof wheel dots also!

rickster58 10-11-2005, 05:17 PM Hrummp, three typos in one sentance. Must be my first day with the new hands!
cneyedog 10-16-2005, 11:25 AM Bruce, just lettin ya know that after a long drought I finallt got my stuff together and made the A at the last FOCAR race in 1/10th 19T.... thanks for the great tires ......... BTW...... Rich Baran won on your tires and I'd say at least 80% of the field was on rc4less tires !!
davepull 10-16-2005, 03:32 PM tires simply the BOMB!!!!!!!! Congrats Rich I know this state series it doesn't take much to miss the show. Bruce YGM
rickster58 10-16-2005, 05:19 PM Bruce,
Just want say more of the same. Your tire donuts are awesome. I never had hard blue fronts that were both so hard and gripped so well. Less rolling resistance + grip = fast! Also is a pleasure to talk to the actual guy that owns the company on the phone as opposed to a huge company like T#$%# Hobbies, where you're just a number and a credit card.
Thanks again,
Rick Stockhaus<><
ps I have nothing against the big guys, I do buy from them occaisionally!
katf1sh 10-16-2005, 05:25 PM add tom pedano to winning pro stock saturday as well. "orange you glad you chose rc 4 less"
davepull 10-16-2005, 08:09 PM umm ummmmmmm ummmmmmm and Dave Puliafico running the fastest lap of the event 3.8 in pro stock and finishing second. lol
it is becoming real clear run the Orange rims or be in the way.
GATOR45 10-16-2005, 09:45 PM AWESOME!!!!!!!
Thanks Bruce!...I had a great day at the FOCAR race at Speedline,Qualifying 2nd in the Mod A-main,and WINNING the A-main,turning a faster time in the 10 car main than the TQ time!!!.....Can't say enough good things about the ORANGE tires!!!!!...Trust me I worked on my car ALL DAY LONG!!!!
In practice I had a receiver/crystal problem, and took a nasty accident ,bending all 3 shocks and a rear pod, bent king pin etc.......
But my tires never failed me!!!...When I used to run the other tires, they would chunk, rims would bend or crack etc......
But these R/C4Less tires are unbeievably sturdy and consistant!!!!!
Thanks for the sponsorship Bruce!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BRDRACING 10-17-2005, 08:41 AM Good day at Sanhills on RC4Less Tires! I Qualified 3rd and Finished 4th. First time at Sanhills this year. Results should get better every weekend!
Great job Bruce!

John Maher 10-17-2005, 07:37 PM Do you have an update on the 1/12th tires. Jonesing for the same quality as your 1/10th scale tires for our pocket rockets. There are at least 8 or 9 guys here in Jacksonville dying to get a hold of the some small orange tires.
rctom243 10-17-2005, 09:25 PM Everyone wants to know about the 1/12 Tires. Hope they keep the orange color and don't use an existing wheel from someone else.
katf1sh 10-17-2005, 11:06 PM rctom i can assure you that they will look alot like there big brothers. i had a pair in my grubby fat hands a month ago...they are sweet!
John Maher 10-17-2005, 11:09 PM I have seen the prototypes in action and the are orange just like the 10th scale tires. They look just like his other rims, only smaller.
Kelso_87 10-18-2005, 02:28 PM Mr. Triplett,
Once you've made the 1/12 tires, try out making some sedan foams. If there anything like the 1/10 sale tires, they will be flying off of the racks here in Gilbert, Az. US Pan Car Championships are coming in two weeks, I can't wait!
SBHG2004 10-21-2005, 11:16 PM If you have a huddy you can just put the tire nut on backwards and it should work.
dwcnascar 10-23-2005, 12:38 AM Just ran RC4less foams for a 4th place finish on my first go at stout field in Indianapolis. 35 lefts and 45 rights worked great for 19t. Hope to hit Cincinnati in the coming weekends.

I saw an add in rc driver for a company called GS foams... There rims are orange and exactly like the rc 4 less ones.. They have sedan, 12th and 10th scale tires...
They say there foams are mint for asphalt racing.. My question is are these where bruce gets his tires from?? are they just re bagged, or do both companies just use the same ecact rims...I have heard everyone say these foams rock for asphalt oval.. so im curious,..]
I just got a PM on this post.. Im not trying to stir any pot or cause any problems... Im searching for the real answer.. so please not spam me..

Hi Rick, glad we were able to help, we try to make up for our small size with good customer service. We are getting more and more hobby shops on board stocking the tires so if your local shop doesn't have our tires have them drop us an email and we'll ge them hooked up.
Thanks

SBHG2004 10-29-2005, 09:31 PM I was just wondering if anyone has any orange rim tire combos for high banked ovals with low bite for 19turn and mod 4-cell class.
RC4less 10-30-2005, 04:39 PM I was just wondering if anyone has any orange rim tire combos for high banked ovals with low bite for 19turn and mod 4-cell class.
Hi SBHG2004, normal starting point on asphalt is 3 pinks and a purple RF. If the asphalt is abrasive you can always go to a red for the right front. Should get you going.
Thanks
Bruce
rickster58 10-31-2005, 04:21 PM Bruce,
Thanks for the nice looking decals. They're already on the car.

Kelso_87 10-31-2005, 04:52 PM This past Sat. and Sun. I TQ'ed and won the 4-cell 19 turn class over at RC Sports Mania for the US Pan Car Championship, and I did it all on RC4Less tires. Thanks Mr. Triplett for the tires and bearings.

katf1sh 10-31-2005, 07:37 PM good job bro! orange power rocks!
dwcnascar 10-31-2005, 10:25 PM Do you all drill out the front wheels or hit it with a file before putting in your bearings? Seems be a bit to snug on some for my taste.
RC4less 11-01-2005, 07:02 AM Do you all drill out the front wheels or hit it with a file before putting in your bearings? Seems be a bit to snug on some for my taste.
Hi dwcnascar a few guys like their front bearings to fit on the loose side and have used a 5/16 straight flute ream but the holes are sized to hold the bearing snug with out any slop. Some wheels are sized so the bearing easily slides in the opening but I didn't like what happened to the fit after a few runs (against the boards or not), so ours are a tight fit, but if you just start the bearing straight and advance it in the wheel straight you shouldn't have a problem. Just don't let the bearing get cocked at an angle.

JPG333 11-03-2005, 01:51 PM Hey guys,
If you want your front bearings to snap in a easier. Take a body reamer and very lightly spin it a few times on each side of the front rim. I don't take a lot of material of the rim. I just remove a very small sliver on each side.
I have done this to my RC4Less front rims and it is easier to snap them in. They will still fit the rim snug, but bearings are easier to get in and out.

JPG333 11-04-2005, 04:34 PM Bruce,
I have got to say. I love your tires and I love the orange rims!!!
Wednesday night I had my first experience on Ozite with your tires. I was very happy with the long wear characteristics of you exotic compounds. We race 6 cell mod up here and I started out with LF:Grey RF: Black and White in the rear. My car was as stable as it has ever been and the rims that you have are some of the truest rims out their. Because you rims are machined so true, it made set up very easy. At high speeds every little bit helps... I tried a few other compounds too... I put a Cream on the Right Rear and it stood up to wear better than the White rear, but I found I was faster with a softer rears for MOD 6 cell... Anyway, I sure appreciate the great products and service that you provide. I am going to put another tire order in today, so I can order some Hard Black fronts to try on the front of my car...
We are having our first race of the winter season tonight. I have no doubt that it will be RC4Less up front all night long.
Thanks again,

Kelso_87 11-04-2005, 10:15 PM great looking cars man. I guess you'll be needing the tire warmers now... LOL
Oh, by-the-by good luck!
JPG333 11-08-2005, 03:30 PM Bruce,
What is the latest word on your 1/12 scale tires? I heard that they are comming sometime this month. Just curious what the release date is on them. I am going to start running 1/12 oval and 1/12 on-road up here when they come out. I don't want to even try running until I can run on your new 1/12 tire. Just wondering if you could give any insight on the release of these. Also, do you have a price sturcture set up for your new 1/12 tires for the general public?
Thanks,
Jim Glasgow

Saw your new 1/12 scale tires on www.RC4Less.com. I am looking forward to running these new tires. I think it is really sweet that you have the wide selection in compounds like you do with your 1/10 tires. I am sure that your new 1/12 foams will be another RC4Less success story.
