What Katfish Is Forgetting To Tell Every One Is That He Didn't Even Get To Drive His Car In The Dash For Cash He Had To Use Some One Elses Radio And Drive A Car He Has Never Driven Before Granted It Was Mike Boylans Car But Still For Kat To Lose A Race On The Last Lap Against The Group Of Guys He Was Racing Against While Driving A Car He Has Never Driven Is Pretty Awsome And Just Goes To Show The Katfish's Talent

On a 13.5 1C I have been running 3 pinks and a black RF, but as the track keeps getting more rubber down the car get progressively looser. Was able to get the car decent by going up to a purple RF spring, but that seems like a bandaid not the fix. Should I go to the double black RF or Red and leave the rest at pinks or should I go to white or cream in the rear?
Also suddenly had an issue with chunking, not sure why as the last 3 weeks have not been an issue.

slot u running on carpet? and as the bite comes up you get loose?

you can try green lf black rf

white lr grey/white rr or both rears grey or both rears white...but 3 pinks and a purple and or black is the norm for carpet racers.

chunks occur when you hit things..you can super glue the outside edges of your tires..this helps with tire roll in the corner and chunking...

what traction compound is allowed?

are you using mudslide tire cleaner or at least lighter fluid or break cleaner between runs?

Yes running on carpet which was cleaned right before I started running a month ago. Car started out with a bit of a push and as time has gone on, it has changed to a loose condition from mid turn on. Also was getting severe traction rolls with uncut tires. Have since gone down to 2.200 tires. Didnt have any harder tires to try, but did go up to a purple RF spring from a red and that was OK for 1 or 2 races, then that got loose again.

Can run any traction compound, have been using jack on all 4 corners to keep from glazing over. No cleaner.

Thanks for the help.

sounds like the rf is getting abused...smaller tires are a must! 2.10 is a nice starting point for high bite rug..watch your camber on the rf also.

3 pinks and a black or purple rf

clean them with a mixture of 50/50 water and denatured alcohol after every run

tires for the birds must be tiny 2.10 and below

I would like to take this time to thank my sponsors for this year, without there help I would have had to sit out the season for the first time since 1990 and with they're help I was able to put together the nicest car I've ever had and was able to bring home the victory of our N.O.R.A. oval opener, the guys that run pro pan at our track are some of the best in the northwest and It feels awesome to win one against them. Bruce has been an amazing sponsor and there is no better tire or place to shop for your oval racing needs.:freak:

Yep, Great results for the orange hoops again this year in Daytona.

In 13.5 COT I qualified 2nd behind fellow RC4LESS tire equipped Phillip Owen and we were the only two 38 lap cars after four rounds. I went for broke in the main and suffered the consequences.:freak: Spun without help on the first lap all the way to last place and then started picking off cars one by one till I piped it in turn one trying to get underneath Phils son Kristopher for a position and the car rocketed all the way out of the track in turn two.

Pulled it and watched the rest of a great race from the stand. I was happy that I got my old car working so well so there was no reason to be bummed about the finish. So what I finished 10th? There was 11th and 12th and -----

Nice job David. Sounds like your hard work paid off. I got back on RC4Less tires last week in 10.5 and was very pleased with them. Only wore .040" after several runs. I ran 3 whites and gray but might try some other stuff.

What compounds are you guys running on carpet?

Tommygun43, Carpet? We race mostly asphalt down here with the exception of a little race called the Snowbirds:wave: and a couple other special events.

The Daytona race is at the actual speedway in the cup garage area.

What Katf1sh says though. That about covers 90 percent of what's run on the fibers.

i have been running rc 4 less tires for most of the year i like them alot, especially the way they wear, the other tires i run wear out alot faster, had to switch to a softer compound i had the bl rf and the gr/white rr, i swiched to a softer compound and it helped. will be running them again next year on both my edm and 13.5. some say rc4less wheels flex too much.. any thoughts on that....

Ever seen an RC4LESS wheel broken? That flex is why not. If you've hit anything hard enough to bend one of the orange wheels that same impact would have broken the center out of another brand. Bent wheels finish races. Turnmarshals pick up the pieces of other brands.
