Thanks Jake Kris Pisarcik 02-09-2007, 07:32 PM I've recently purchased a used rc10L4 with rc4less tires. I used to run the hobby heaven track (Indiana,Pa) back in the mid 90's. My question is I used to run green dot tires all around with traction compound on all 4 tires the track was grey felt(ozite)? Now I'm running at rc avenue 2 in Bradenville,Pa the track surface is a grey tite/close mesh indoor/outdoor carpet. The car came with black fronts and cream rears, that are well worn is this what you guys would run? Car seems to get loose about 3/4 way down the straights. Any help would be great I've been out of the loop for 10 yrs +-. I've been racing full size dirt latemodels the last 5 yrs I'm not sure if what works on latemodel works on these flat carpet tracks? Thanks, kris smokefan 02-10-2007, 08:07 AM Kris what class are you running?? I'm running 13.5 BL and currently running a white lr and a white/gray rr, gray rf, cream lf. there are several combinations that work it just depends on what you want your car to do. Give us a little more info and we will get you going in the right direction. Jerry B. Rc4less TeamOHP Leading Edge Kris Pisarcik 02-10-2007, 07:33 PM I'm running in the 4 cell stock brushed motor nascar class with a tekin 411-g2 speed control (mounted on right rear side of car), tekin reciever(mounted center infront of shock/antenna mount), 3800mah 4 cell smc (close to left rear/and slid to the outside of car),green spring rt frt, red lft frt,on back:gold spring lr 7 turns in, blue spring rr 1and1/4 in,center shock green(assoc)1turn in,gear 31/110, race line of track 150+-?,charger hd protoform body, pod offest,t-bar.075,rear hub long/offset,t-bar flex 3holes/bolts,axle height adj #3 with back offset, front upper arm placement, rf lowest bottom right hole inside,lf middle hole to the inside, inline steering blocks, tires sizes: rt frt 2.125 lf frt 2.125 rt rr 2.24 lft rr 2.24,tires are missing chunks of foam also, add (niftech) tire compound to back tires only, 1/8" washer under for ride height adj under frt suspension, frt tires are wearing evenly, car slows in corner even at full throttle, car turns left well, but gets loose if you turn to right on straights, ok thats from my set-upsheet I hope this helps. Thanks,Kris smokefan 02-11-2007, 10:10 PM I would try a white/gray or cream rr, white lr, blk or gray rf, cream lf. idealy I would try to keep from turning rt on the straights. In 4 cell stock that just kills speed. Also reading about your set up. I am taking it that you have way to much rr weight and not enough lr. Hope this helps. Kris Pisarcik 02-12-2007, 07:55 AM Ok I'll be ordering some tires this week thank you, about the set up could you give me some ideas with spring colors/pounds and where you would put them. When I got the car the frt springs are unchanged, the rear side springs were both blue springs, the center spring is also unchanged. With the blue springs the car would spin out in middle to exit of the turns almost every time. When I added turns to the spring on the rt rr of the car, it quit spinning out, but I ran out of adjustment so Iwent to a gold spring/12#. Was this right? Any help or clarifacation on set-up will be greatly appreciated. Lastly does indoor/outdoor mesh carpet act differently than ozite/felt? Thanks again,Kris RC4less 02-12-2007, 04:09 PM Hi Guys, had a blast at the Birds. My racing didn't show well but it was good to see everyone. One of the biggest Dirt Oval races of each year, 269 entries. I raced in EDM modified and EDM stock. I qualified 5th out of 49 in stock. I only got in 2 laps in the A Main. Which put me 8th place. I qualified 16 out of 34 in mod. I won the C main, bumped into the B and ran into a wreck on the back stretch ended up 7th. Using the orange. I seen a few cars on the track with orange wheels. http://www.dirtoval.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21297 (http://www.dirtoval.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21297) Bob Mott RC4less 02-26-2007, 08:55 PM Great going Disrupter 10 and Bob. The dirt oval tires are making great progress and I appreciate your running them. Thanks Bt Kris Pisarcik 02-28-2007, 09:48 AM sorry, smokefan I didn't get the set-ups or they got deleted by accident. I've made afew changes since last time. The car had the same size shims on frt, changed to .90rf and 1.10lf. I changed oil in all shocks after finding out rtrr shock had no oil in it, shocks had 50wt changed to 30wt. Also changed to red on rr 0 turns in, and gold on lr 2 1/4 turns in. Now I'm running compound on rr,lr,lf. Car is on a rail, but scrubs some speed in turns. By the way the runline at our paper clip is 120'-130' roll out with rev/monster stock 1.88 w/smc 3800 4 cell in 1.20's. My average lap is in the 5.30's my best lap is 4.97 and I run around 45 laps with 46 being the highest I've got, running blk frts and white rrs with niftech. Any ideas or questions give a shout, I'll look for those set-ups harder sorry. Thanks, Kris smokefan 02-28-2007, 05:34 PM Kris will send them again Jerry B. Just drop me an email when everything is back to normal. Best wishes for you and your family. Got to keep them first in everything! Bt haagar 03-11-2007, 11:43 AM Ran my first race on RC4less foam. Qualified 3rd with a personal best by a lap and a half (that wasn't all the tires :)). Had great tire wear all weekend and a lot of people asked about the orange wheels. I'll be running them from here on out. haagar 03-12-2007, 11:16 AM Question about natural vs exotic. Right now I am running 3 pinks and have a magenta on the RF. If I wanted to switch to a setup that had similar initial grip to this would I go to 3 tans and a gray or something else. I was also told that with CRC rubber that the naturals pick up grip throughout the run and the exotics don't. Is it similar with the RC4less tires? Edit: I should probably mention that this is 1/10 pan car on hook and loop carpet. Thanks! tightline31408 03-13-2007, 12:18 AM hey bruce!! got my order in to day, thank you. love these tires and parts.I also sent you a note. so let me know. again thank you  team Bandit team xcell team bad boys racing ROCK  Echeconnee 03-14-2007, 11:44 AM Bruce, are you still going to Daytona? RC4less 03-14-2007, 09:23 PM Hey Cliff, can James Brown get down? (I need to change that one since the GodFather passed) but anyway I'll be there to lay a good 'ol fashion NC Mountainman Whuuupen on Bean in 1/12. DK47 knows what that NC Mountain version can do to a flat-land'er like Bean. Rock I thought about T-Shirts but haven't done anything yet. Haagar a good suggestion for the Hook&Loop carpet would be Black(45) right front, Cream(30) left front, White/Gray Right Rear and White left rear. I was able to TQ and win the 19 turn pro mod with your tires. They stayed consistant and fast no matter what the track conditions were. Some got loose when the track got slick but my ride was awesome all weekend long. Ran 3 pinks and a purple RF and in my brushless which I got 2nd in the A-main among 40 cars ran 3 pinks and a magenta RF. Also ran your new springs in the front and rear and they were AWESOME. I love the powder coating - no paint came off. The color selections and pound selections are awesome. I love the options. Also want to note I used a new 4200 I bought from RC4LESS.com to win and TQ 19 turn with. A off the shelp SMC 4200. Got to love to be able to do that!! Thanks Bruce! It was nice seeing your family.
