I bought Dog Soldiers because I heard it was a good Werewolf movie.
It was great!!! I recommend it! :thumbsup: Has anyone seen "Ginger Snaps"?

DOG SOLDIERS is very good movie. And it's a great deal. You can pick it up in these parts for about $6.00. Heck of a buy for a movie with an anamorphic widescreen transfer and some good extras. Very highly recommended.

I've also got GINGER SNAPS on DVD and I thinks it's also a very entertaining flick. My warning on this title is that it seems to be very much a matter of taste. It's quite different than most werewolf films and I think that's a good thing. However, because it's unconventional, some of the traditional werewolf fans might not "get into it".

I'm happy I bought it and I'm glad to own it. I've viewed it a few times. But if you're a traditional, howling at the moon/silver bullet kinda' guy, be prepared for something different.

" Ginger Snaps' is kind of a mixture of "Heavenly Creatures" & "The Howling" with a dash of "Heathers". It's definately worth a look, supposedly the Canadian version is the one to get and has a bunch of extras, but the American version I saw was bare bones. Warning:it's kind of a "teen/female empowerment' flick, but in some pretty clever ways.

Sadly, Mimi Rogers keeps her clothes on and plays a suburban mom. and not even a hot suburban mom <sigh>

I had heard great things about Dog Soldiers.
Then it was on Sci-Fi a few of weeks ago.3
I couldn't belive it surpassed all the hype I had heard about it.
Placed an order with Amazon that night!

Spoon was great. "I hope I give you the sh*ts..."

that's one awesome fight in the kitchen !!! very good movie well paced .

I'm not sure, I got mine from Deep discount dvd for about $7.00.

I've seen it in the "cheapo" bin at Borders Books for the same price.

One little nitpick ....

When they're all in the land rover - you can see they're just rocking the jeep as you can see stationary twigs at the windows!

Based on your recommendations I finally rented Dog Soldiers and I wasn't dissapointed. Yeah you've seen better werewolves before but the acting was top notch and the story was a lot of fun. If you haven't seen it then you're missing out on a real gem!
