Are the bushings in the new nut an item that will wear out? If so can they be bought separately?
Oh please spill the beans on this new X-Factor 4. It seems that there are going to be a couple new oval cars or updates coming onto the market at the same time and all info would be very helpful in making a decision.
Thanks and keep the new products coming.
jcovalracer 08-17-2004, 01:58 PM Can you please post SILVA CONCEPT website link here so we go directly to it?
JPHRacer 08-17-2004, 07:18 PM Guys, Duane has been up 24/7 trying to get new things going. The old shocks are awsome, but with the addition of the support bushing, he made the shocks even better. Its unbelivable how well they work, and how little piston scuff you get.
Watch out, Silva has some awsome things coming in the future.

DSILVA 08-18-2004, 02:17 AM The nut and the bushing come together as a update. I will sell the bushing seperate also. It will take allot for the bushing to wear out.
The X-FACTOR is being tested allot right now. I will not let out who will be running it until all is said and done but, there will be some heavy hitter running it this coming season.

This coming season? the season is almost over,LOL asphalt is for racing, carpet is for walking on.
Justin_29 08-19-2004, 12:55 PM "Carpet is for racing, ashphalt is for getting there". LOL, just kidding Pepe!!!
So when will the updated T-plate be available? The one that is on the website? Or is it already out?

Tornado_Racing 08-19-2004, 08:12 PM Here is a pic of the new parts. As you can see there is a bushing instead of the white washer. The black shaft and end cap are the new parts and the red cap is from a Hyperdrive kit.
Justin_29 08-19-2004, 11:59 PM They look great! I think I will send out my order rigth away, because my P.O.S. stock shocks keep blowing and getting shock oil all over the place!

BarryG 08-20-2004, 09:00 PM So whats the scoop on this new car of yours? Is it like an L4 on steroids or a completely different design?
Tornado_Racing 08-24-2004, 08:06 AM We ran the new shock on Saturday and let me tell you...................
These things are plain awesome. Very smooth and they stayed that way all day long. Because there was little to no piston scuffing the car seemed like it turned in better and was smoother through the corners. With the o-ring seal the shocks never leaked a bit and stayed glass smooth the whole day. I would say that you could go several weekends with out a rebuild. The Silva HPS shocks were almost as smooth as the HPI center shock. That is hard to do so big props to the Silva boyz for updating an already outstanding product. You guys need to get some of these shocks cause they are just plain awesome!
Justin_29 08-24-2004, 01:08 PM Alright! That's it, I am ordering mine today! My stock shocks are junk and leak like crazy!
LoL
Thanks!

Tornado_Racing 08-24-2004, 01:16 PM I am not sure if the new shocks will include the o-ring seal but if they do not here is the part number:
SC126 HPS Shock Nut O-ring
Bleeding these is a bit tricky if you use the o-ring. Just take your time and bleed it like you do an HPI shock. Get your rebound the same for both shocks and then go race all day. With the new bushing I think the shocks stay pressurized longer which should make them last longer in between rebuilds.
Justin_29 08-24-2004, 02:08 PM Hey D & D!
I just ordered my Silva Concept blue HPS shock kit (SC128). Will it be coming with the blue shock bodies, and shock caps? I am just wondering, because on your website (www.silvaconcepts.com (http://www.silvaconcepts.com/)) and the IRS website (www.teamirsrc.com (http://www.teamirsrc.com/)) there are no pictures of the HPS shock kits.
Alrighty, guess that's all for now!
Thanks!

DSILVA 08-26-2004, 12:58 PM Tony thanks for the good words. Also keep us posted on the life you are getting out of them between rebuilds.
Justin, thanks for the support!
More news on the X-FACTOR 4,
The chassis kit will be based on the L4, There are many new things on the car to help out with the performance. Most of all the parts will be inter changable to the L4.
I am working on a new website and I will have more news up very soon.
D & D Silva
Justin_29 08-26-2004, 01:05 PM Awsome! So basically this will be a conversion kit for L4O? Hope there will be pics and such available soon, because I am looking for a chassis upgrade, and the X-factor might be the next buy when it is released!
So my HPS shock kit will be completely blue? LOL, Just wondering, because my car is all blue, want them to match, lol. Here's a pic of my Sylva Concept hop-up car:

I like all the blue, bling bling factor going on for sure.
Justin_29 08-26-2004, 04:17 PM LoL, thanks Erock, I spent a lot of $$ and time into it, but the main thing is that it handles just as good as it looks, but the new Sylva HPS shocks would help a tad more, as my stock ones are starting to have better days!
Thanks!

Monti007 08-31-2004, 12:04 AM I just got done running the new shocks this weekend out here at the Velodrome nats and they worked well. I TQ'd, set a new track record and won the A main with them. What was more amazeing was running a lap of 10.9 sec which is 69mph with a 4 cell mod car! The new updates are killer!
-Monti-
Roadsplat 09-08-2004, 04:02 PM This may be a dumb question but do you use the new bushing in addition to all the existing parts or does the new bushing replace the flat white washer on top of the o-ring?
Thanks
RC
Monti007 09-08-2004, 05:04 PM RC the bushing replaces the falt white washer in the shock.
