Ziggy TQed and won open mod. G-Honey finished 4th and I Ritchie Mac finished 9th. I also finished 2nd in 19t winning the 2nd main. Shane finished 7th in stock so that put all the X Factors in there respected A mains. Keep your eye on this bunch of guys. Thanks to Silva for an awsome car. Just a note about this bunch of guys. I'm peaking my pack just a couple of mins b4 my last a main and my speedo fryes. Smoke everywhere. The next thing I know all of Team Silva is over there helping me replace my speedo. G-Honey,Ziggy,Shane,. They were up next and they just stopped what they were doing to help me out. I was so stressed out and Ziggy said something about my 4 turn colbat drag motor on the dyno and I just lost it. It all took only about 3 mins to change out but it felt like a hour.So all in all a good weekend for the Silva Concepts Crew!!!! Pretty impressive so far what the “X-Factor 4” has produced. We are also coming out with our "TI Concept" line, which is titanium screw and various titanium after market accessories. David Butts 03-26-2005, 10:59 AM Hey Dave. If you move your upper hinge pin brace to the front from where you have it, It'll hold the hinge pins in place without using those pesky litte e-clips. If you have the setscrews in it that is. Good looking car. Does it have a turbo button? It's the little things that add up to a lot of little things. dave w 03-26-2005, 11:19 AM GOOD IDEA !!! AND YES its got a turbo button ! bsracing8 03-28-2005, 07:05 PM dave's car is very sweet and FAST!!! Daryl Silva 03-29-2005, 11:00 AM Dave your car looks good. It sounds like you are doing great with it. If you have any questions let us know. Daryl Silva John Card 04-03-2005, 04:07 PM Any word on the Ti screw kits? I'm assembling mine and I was getting ready to get some from Lunsford. Any ETA? Ridge Runner 04-03-2005, 10:17 PM Great chassis Daryl. Got mine in Dec and have Been setting a Goob pace at Club level. The car has made me a better driver through consistency lap after lap. Didn't let anyboby in the club know that I had bought one. Front runners in club impressed by me not missing a beat with new car , just having a hard time to finish ahead of me any more. Car is absolutly planted, and other members who have tried it just cannot get over how planted and solid in the corner.Club track is a 135' caprpet flat oval. When I make the necessary changes to run at the banked oval at Fairfield , Maine it is still the best handling car of the members of my club that travel to the race, and I suspect , that in the right hands a TQ , and A- main winner. My car is an L4 with KSG center shock mount , and rear pod side plates by Rob Tourangeau of "R3DESIGNS". there pod , both lowers the moter, and broadens your gearing options. Roadsplat 04-04-2005, 07:32 AM Can someone share some setup tips for 19T flat carpet aprox 125'. Wheel base, center shock location, side shock mounting and height, offset or centered, oil weights....etc. Thanks RC Daryl Silva 04-04-2005, 10:03 AM John Card: We should have our first shipment of screws in the next week or so. We will advise when we shipped our first order to IRS on our website and hobbytalk. Ridge Runner: I am glad everything is going good with the car. It's good to here stories like this. If you need any more help feel free to contact us. Roadsplat: Start with the long wheelbase. Center shock 50wt with the Silva black spring. 36wt in the side shocks with gold’s to start. Offset pod is the only way to fly on flat carpet. Run the side shocks all the way out on the cross member with the IRS medium ball suds. Make sure you keep proper shock travel. If you need anything else let me know. P.S. I will be testing our new front end springs this week. They look sweet. Will keep everyone posted! Daryl Silva Silva Concepts oval racer 2 04-04-2005, 12:19 PM I Purchased My Conversion Kit A Few Months Back, And Never Installed It Until Right Before The Daytona Speedway Spectacular. I Never Even Practiced The Car Before The First Heat In Brushless. It Was Pushing Badly In The 1st And 2nd Heat, But After 4 Heats Of Adjusting It Was Better. Qual 2nd And Won In Brushless, On The First Race W/ The Car!! It Is Definately A Good Car. I Can't Wait To Work W/ It Some More!!! John Card 04-05-2005, 01:18 PM How do the spring rates of the steel T-bars (with rear steer) you offer compare to the regular .062 and .073 Associated glass T-bars. Previously I ran a .073 bar with a silver associated spring on a short flat track on my L4, What combo would you recommend with your T-bar and springs on the X-Factor? I currently have your steel bar that is dogbone shaped in the center with no cutouts in it - I'm not sure which one it is - I don't see a picture of it on your website. Thanks. hrtpumper 04-05-2005, 02:21 PM Hey guys, I do not have an l4 that this would be converting so.....Anybody want to post major parts needed to complete this kit as well as any different hardware that may be needed. Thanks Make sure you include all the go fast stuff:) :) Roadsplat 04-05-2005, 10:49 PM You need everything except the graphite pieces. This would include, complete front suspension, t-bar and mounting hardware, all shocks, center shock mount, rear pod plates, axle, hubs, bearings, ball studs, servo mounts, all screws and crosbrace brace standoffs. The only graphite piece it does not come with is the front bumper. I think that's everything. RC Daryl Silva 04-06-2005, 10:04 AM John Card: What type of track are you running on? The dog bone T-plate is the medium/soft style. I use this T-plate a lot on flat carpet and asphalt. Try using that T-plate with the copper center spring. You should have a lot of success with that combo. Daryl Silva John Card 04-06-2005, 06:32 PM Thanks Daryl - It will be run mostly on short flat asphalt (racers haven) and short flat carpet (new carpet track 1hr north of Bakersfield). I'll give the copper spring a try. Any recommendations on the rest of the springs? How about front end alignment settings and chassis ride height? Just trying to get the setup as close as possible right off the bat. Thanks again :-) hrtpumper 04-06-2005, 08:59 PM Greetings, Ordered car and now need setups for banked concrete oval (bms) or something of that nature. Thanks MIke Monti007 04-06-2005, 10:42 PM John, Run a gold left rear sping with a blue right rear spring and 35 wt oil. Keep the chassy at about 4 to 5 mm in total height and run the chassy level to half a mm reverse stagger in the front. On the left side run the car at half a mm positive (rear end higher than front). Run a red right front and green left front spring. I hope this helps keep Daryl or my self up to date. Mike, right now I have not had the chance to run this car out doors. I do plan to make the paved nats at BMS and would start with something close to what everyone else is running. I might know more later in the year if I get out to the Norrca paved nats. -Monti- 29Dennis 04-06-2005, 11:23 PM YGPM hrtpumper ;) Daryl Silva 04-07-2005, 10:41 AM John: Monti nailed it pretty good. I talked to Eric S. Tuesday night at SOCAL and he ran the same set-up at RacerHaven that he did at the Snowbirds(KSG car). I will probably start there but try (4) purples. I used the Snowbirds set-up to dominate the Kimbrough 400 in Vegas last year, and the only change I made was the (4) purples. Make sure you are running the Protoform Monti Carlo on those tracks. We will be going to the next Bakersfield race. Do you know when it is? SJacquez 04-07-2005, 11:02 AM Daryl The club race is this weekend. The next Southwest Tour(www.southwesttour.com) race is June 18th at Racer Haven. Steve dave w 04-07-2005, 12:10 PM GUYS on the right front slider how far back do i move it .10 or .20 thousands? Daryl Silva 04-07-2005, 01:26 PM Dave: I am running it about .020" back. I hope this helps. dave w 04-07-2005, 01:45 PM DARYL need to get some stuff like springs call me 1 800 845 8414 thanks hrtpumper 04-08-2005, 02:17 PM Ok Guys, Banked anything setup would be good, just want starting point!!! Thanks Mike Monti007 04-09-2005, 12:58 AM Mike, On banked tracks I would start with red side springs and stiff center like a progressive white HPI. A stiff spring steel t-plate. I would try atleast purple springs in the front or run normal assocated springs around .022 in dia. Other than that most everything else would be the same. I will know more if or when I get to a banked track. -Monti- hrtpumper 04-10-2005, 08:08 AM Hey Monti, Thanks, would you suggest running any rear steer, I know it is a large track and probably not need but may help with a caps setup?? Thanks Mike Monti007 04-10-2005, 10:10 PM Mike, I am not a huge fan of rear stear but I know Daryl is. I feel it is a dirvers choice and how you drive a car more so determins if rear stear would work for you. Try it out...the worst that could happen is the waste of 10 min taking it back out. -Monti- dave w 04-11-2005, 04:44 PM ttt  DSILVA 04-11-2005, 07:02 PM Silva Concepts, "Ti" Concepts now in!!! What effect would sliding the right front have? What rear pod side plates are you running, or have you developed apair since you released your chassis? hrtpumper 04-15-2005, 06:03 AM Is everyone running the hpi center shock on this car or standard associated macro shock or any others?? Thanks Mike Daryl Silva 04-15-2005, 10:50 AM Ridge Runner: It will make the car turn in harder and make the car rotate through the corner better on most tracks. We are running the lower IRS pod plates. If you run those make sure you use the right ride height adjusters. hrtpumper: Sean, Duane and myself are running the associated shock. Ziggy and Greg are running the HPI shock. It comes down to what you like best. Daryl Silva 04-19-2005, 10:05 AM "TI" screws are in and they are money! Look for them to hit the hobby shop floors in the next few weeks. You can contact Dave Irrgang with questions on availability. Daryl Silva Got Delivered 04-19-2005, 03:01 PM Duane, I have been running the Associated shock for about a year now... Zig Roadsplat 04-20-2005, 08:40 AM Which hole are you mounting the center shock mount to on the chassis? Standard location, 1 hole forward, etc....? Also, what length are you making the center shock? Looking for end to end fully extended length. Thanks RC Daryl Silva 04-20-2005, 10:06 AM Roadsplat: We are running the shock mount one hole forward from the T-plate. I haven't measured my shock, we just go by back travel. I am using a long Losi ball cup at the end of my shock. Some guys are running the small stand off with the standard ball cup. Correction to the above statement, Ziggy is running the associated center shock. Daryl Silva vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
