How does it compare to the KSG as far as getting through the corners? Did you find that it was easier to get dialed in with this car over the KSG?

Thanks

RC,

I have run this car since September and I really like the car a lot. I have run on a number of flat tracks with good results. This past weekend I was TQ with a new track record in mod. I also own the track record in 4 cell stock at a track in IL. I feel this car is the best of what an L4 and KSG cars have in performance. I hope this helps in your choice.

Thanks Burbs but no I am not cherry picking...I just want to run the car at differnent places and see how it does. Also, getting beat Sonny is not a bad thing either!

Monti, do you run the side shock in the outside or inside holes on the cross brace? Also, what position do you run the center shock mount. I've just built mine up and have to get used to having more adjustments..LOL

Thanks

I run my side shocks in the outter hole and I use the KSG center shock mount and put the shock in the middle or third hole from the top.

Good luck.

Built my first pair of Silva hps shocks today and those puppies are smooth and easy to build. I've been racing rc for 25 years and in that time I've built/rebuilt a delta style shock or two and these things are beyond any trick used on the old shocks to get them to work right out of the package.

I've had real good luck with my vcs shocks but I just wanted to try these out and they were in stock in the color I wanted too. Bled'em just as we used to the old delta shocks and 1st time was the charm.

I really dont see why so many people claim to have problems building these except that the instructions could mention bleeding them in a little more detail. If all Silva products are this nice everyone else should just go out of business.

Ran the car at stockton this weekend in 19 turn at the carpet champs race. The car works awesome, made the A-MAIN on saturday and finished fifth, Won the B-main on sunday. Lack of sleep and patience didn't help on Sunday.
Needeed a little more HORSEPOWER and a little more TUNING to keep up with Hamilton and KC. Any set up help would be appreciated. Thanks George.

Also i would like to thank Jake Rosen and Dave Wert for the horsepower and assistance this weekend, You guys got me in focus again. :freak:

Is there a fiberglass t-plate that will work on this car without modifying plate or battery tray?? Thanks LJ

travymoto1
03-06-2005, 09:59 PM
Yes any of the associated fiberglass t-plates will work.

JPH Racing
03-07-2005, 12:24 AM
Larry: Any t-plate that is the same width (the main body portion) as an Associated will work. I don't think the KSG wide plates will fit ...

Hey everyone just thought you would like to know G-Unit broke the track record Sat at Sandhills in mod. The record was set last year on the old carpet. G broke it by a full sec and he was running 3300. I guess people can quit saying the track is slow with the new carpet. The X Factor is getting faster it's scary.

GOT MY KIT today i was a little disapointed to have to drill servo holes and i had to countersink the holes for the front end the were way shallow well try it this weekend !

Ralf
03-09-2005, 03:03 PM
Don't know of any kits that come with the servo holes drilled ! Way too many different servos out there with different distances between the mounting holes, if they drilled enough holes to fit all servos it would look like swiss cheese! Drilling the holes is not that big a chore. Ralf 13

The X-Factor front end is countersunk for a 100 degree 8\32 screw instead of the standard 80 degree screw. I ordered the from Fastners express in bulk for about $20.00

How do you run a 128? Extended pod or Kimbrough axle spacers??? See Ya LBJ!!

Monti007
03-11-2005, 11:17 PM
Larry you do not have to do anything special. It all depends on your roll out. In four cell I run 120 in 6 cell I ran 122 which is really close to a 128 in getting the same roll out. You should be able to run a 120 easy in mod and 118 or 116 for sure.
