Hey D & D! What would be the price range for the X-Factor (Canadian)? If this information is available, it would be great, because I am very interested in upgrading my Team Associated RC10 L4O to the X-Factor!

Thanks!

Well, what I normally do, is get the part number for the product, then ask my local hobby shop to order it, and it then comes in. But that depends if your hobby shop will aloow this...

For those interested, we have the Associated part in stock ... Along with a couple thousand other ASC parts! When getting the new caster blocks, don't forget to order the new hingepins also.

burbs the #4561 is for the 1/12 scale as seen in this file http://download.teamassociated.com/pdf/catalogs/drawing_12l4.pdf
don't think they would work to well on a oval car

Mario,
Yep those are the ones Ziggy was running and was tearing up the track with.

When I saw his car I asked him if those were the ones that now come with the 12L4 and he said you betcha.

Ziggy, is the only thing different that I can see is the battery tray, just wondering, because the rest pretty much looks the same as a L4O, or do you get all of those blue aluminium parts with it?

Thanks!

Ziggy, thanks for posting pictures. I have been really busy with everthing.

Here are the part numbers for the kit and parts. I am shipping parts to Dave tomorrow.

SC200 X-FACTOR 4 Chassis Kit
SC201 X-FACTOR 4 Chassis
SC202 X-FACTOR 4 / L4 Battery bracket
SC203 X-FACTOR 4 / L4 4 cell battery tray
SC204 X-FACTOR 4 Bottom plate
SC205 X-FACTOR 4 Chassis brace
SC206 X-FACTOR 4 Top plate
SC207 X-FACTOR 4 / L4 nerf wing
SC208 X-FACTOR 4 Front slider mount

The car still looks close to the L4. The car has changed allot on it as far as geometry goes. There is allot more added adjustment to help to the car tune better to different tracks. The cars been doing very well with all th testing that has been going on.

Im a little disapointed.. I expected more from silva. To me at least it is an L4...

Basically i could just get a battery tray , and drill new holes for the crossbrace.. then id basically have a silva car...

not trying to knock the car, just stating what i can see.

the car doing well is no suprise.. the L$ is a great car.... why not diff style cutouts on it .. something to make it satand apart from the normal copy cat cars...

Hey Guys, I have been running my car for two weeks now and trust me it is a lot more than a L4. First off it turns like a Ksg car. Second, the pod has a totally different geometry and is not at all like the L4 except for the pod plates them selves. The right front slides up and down like the old racetech cars and Ksg cars. The rear cross brace is different in that you now have a choice where to run the side shocks. Like many people have said before when it comes to RC cars it is all in the details not the over all picture.

Duane I ordered your shocks a year ago and got shock body's I expected the whole package. Do you have a part number that I can order the whole shock and what is the number? What part numbers do I need to get these shocks that I already have up and running with your updates? Thank's for your time.

Sorry for the delay on answering questions. The Chassis kit is just a kit with all the graphite parts and limited hardware. The price for the chassis kit will be $174.99 retail through IRS and hobby shop that carry my product ( hobby stores my have it lower). The Chassis is made from .102 thick material. It has been holding up through allot of testing pretty well.

Dave at IRS will have the parts and kits tomorrow.

Billy the car has been going very well. The car has been in good hands with Daryl, Sean, Greg, Ziggy, Monti and myself doing allot of testing. The main thing is to let the car make a name for it self by the on track performance.

I just want to let everyone know that testing with the new Silva X factor 4 conversion has been going well. Right now it already holds a track record at my local track and more should fall soon. I also heard that testing has been going on down south with the new car and it has not missed a beat! My hats is off the Silvas on a job well done!

I would like to more about the adjustments. Can you offset the rear pod? Can you offset the frontend meaning move left to right? What is the wheel base from short to long ect... Any other info!!!!! Thanks LBJ

Monti007
10-11-2004, 10:28 AM
Larry you can offset the rear pod. The right front tire does slide front to rear and you can adjust the left side wheel base. The front end does not slide left to right. There are another set of holes to mount the rear shocks out further than a stock L4 car. The major changes to this car are in the geomerty which allows the car to transfer weight a lot better than the L4.
