Sending you a PM... Your suggestions did help, car was easier on the RF with the Red LR / Gold RR combo. Monti007 11-09-2006, 06:41 PM What foam compounds on carpet in 4cell 19t class Brand BSR's.....Pearl white Left rear, white left front, grey silver right frony, and a white right rear. That combo works for most cars in 19t. I would run BSR pinks on the left, dbl pink right rear and a team purple right front. And if the bite got really high put a dbl pink on the left rear. -Monti- crisis641 11-12-2006, 09:39 PM TQed and Won 4300 BL at the Hobbyplex Fall Oval Shootout at Hobbyplex in Omaha, Nebraska this weekend with my XFactor 4. Car has been awesome since I started running one last season Racin JJ 83 12-18-2006, 05:37 AM This is late but i would like to say thank you to Daryl for all his help at stockton rc raceway...q 4th out of 21 ..finished 6th in the main.. great run for me couldn't have done it with out the help from Daryl, my brother Shaun, Jake from www.jphracing.com, and a few others also reading tips from Monti has helped alot too so thank you monti!! Racin JJ Monti007 12-18-2006, 10:33 PM Congrats and glad I could be of help. -Monti- Rupert 12-19-2006, 01:59 AM Monti, How are you spacing your rear axle at the cinci track? Kenwood 12-19-2006, 09:36 AM Monti, How are you spacing your rear axle at the cinci track? UH OH ...I thought you were on a KSG?? Are you guys running this weekend??? FWIW Im just giving you a hard time.. I asked him the same question.. LOL Monti007 12-19-2006, 05:45 PM Monti, How are you spacing your rear axle at the cinci track? On the right rear I space it out .020 with offset pod and on the left rear just enough so that the hub does not hit the pod plate. You WILL have to grind on the bottom plate so the tire does not hit. -Monti- Racin JJ 83 12-20-2006, 01:50 AM question even thou this is a tire one...I run BSR tires...I was on a 3 whites and a black...went to a pearl lf ...the car seemed too stuck would it have been better to go with something like a silver/ gray right front... Monti007 12-20-2006, 02:08 AM question even thou this is a tire one...I run BSR tires...I was on a 3 whites and a black...went to a pearl lf ...the car seemed too stuck would it have been better to go with something like a silver/ gray right front... If you want the car to turn more the silver gray will do that for you...the pearl should of made the car turn more center off -Monti- ToddFalkowski 12-20-2006, 08:22 AM JJ, I run Silvas with BSR's on it as well... I've been running a silver/grey (70%) on the RF for anything faster than stock in most cases, been running a black RF in stock. My setup's VERY free, scares most that drives 'em... I can't run a white RR on mine, car's too bound up. A grey RR brings my Silva to life, especially with a 4300 BR where you can't rely on horsepower to hide any chassis setup flaws... Hope that helps! Racin JJ 83 12-20-2006, 12:31 PM cool thanks!! The car was great with the 3 whites and a black but it seemed to pick the left rear off the ground at times...my springs where LF silver , RF gold (silva springs) LR red, RR gold.. no preload in the fronts at all..and 35 wt in rears...50wt center with a black spring... Todd: thank you that is a huge help for me next time i go back..Woundering if you have ever tried grey on the lefts and black on the rights? Also the silver/ gray i have is a 50/50 should i get the 70 as well? Thanks everyone!! Racin JJ ToddFalkowski 12-20-2006, 01:28 PM Here's kinda where I'm at, run this as a rough setup at the tracks in our area (100-120' runline) 4C Stock: Grey LF, Black RF, Pearl LR, Grey RR. White to red (or progressive KSG) in the front, blue assoc rear side springs w/ 35 & tall outer ball ends, 35-50 wt center shock (I use an HPI) black to gold assoc spring, pretty high on a CW or KSG mount. 4C 4300 BR or 19t: Green LF, 30% Silver, 70% Grey RF, Pearl or White LR, Grey RR. White to red (or progressive KSG) in the front, blue assoc rear side springs w/ 35 & tall outer ball ends (sometimes a gold LR spring), 35-50 wt center shock (I use an HPI) black or silver assoc spring, pretty high on a CW or KSG mount. I run associated t-bars (.063's) with rear steer (slotting the right mounting hole of the bar slightly) I end up running a BUNCH of LR weight. Cars are aggressive. I was running the cars real stiff, killing people in corners, but not getting out of them, especially with the 4300 Car's been pretty much a rocket lately. On the tires, I haven't run a Black right/Grey left setup- may work on a high-bite track, especially at a bigger race. And, as far as the silver/grey, I've only tried the 70/30. Guess it'd be a way to fine-tune the turn-in.... kgbracing 12-20-2006, 04:30 PM JJ- FYI my tire setup for stock that I just used to go 68 5:01 on BSR's was: LF- Green RF- Black LR- Green RR- White/Grey Not so far away from 3 whites and a black. Still I basically never here anyone suggesting a white on the RR. I'd focus on that tire if I was you. Racin JJ 83 12-20-2006, 09:11 PM Cool thanks KGB ..Hey are you running friday at fresno? I might go check the track out...We need to get the oval going out there...Also did you find any center shock mounts? Racin JJ Monti007 12-20-2006, 10:23 PM Todd, have you ever tried pinks on the left, team purple right front, and dbl pink right rear in 4300? -Monti- Racin JJ 83 12-21-2006, 03:24 AM Monti- in carpet racing what would you say about the left rear pick up...it was going in the corners ...that was with the 3 whites and a black.... Racin JJ ToddFalkowski 12-21-2006, 04:13 AM Todd, have you ever tried pinks on the left, team purple right front, and dbl pink right rear in 4300? -Monti- Hey Monti... I seen you mention the pink/purple suggestion in a post earlier. Haven't tried it, but plan on it... I usually try to stay away from purple RF's, just never been a fan of them (I've always felt that they change over a run...) I've had success on them, just seems that the car is either plowing for the first little bit or biting too hard at the end of the run... I plan on heading to New Castle for New Years... Ever run there? Monti007 12-21-2006, 11:42 AM Yeah I have run at New Castle many times but not this year yet. I will be there on New Years as will make my first and only showing in 4300. -Monti- Monti007 12-21-2006, 11:46 AM Monti- in carpet racing what would you say about the left rear pick up...it was going in the corners ...that was with the 3 whites and a black.... Racin JJ I say your car is transfering to much weight. If the car is doing this middle or entry of a corner then I would pre-load the right front more. If it does this on exit of the corner than your car is to tight and you need to run a different right front tire (softer). -Monti- Racin JJ 83 12-21-2006, 04:05 PM It happends more going in...My brothers was more apex i think... thanks for the help Racin JJ Racin JJ 83 12-23-2006, 03:58 AM Merry Christmas everyone!! from Racin JJ, Auto Storage Sales, Delta Auto Care and Smog, and H and H Racing Family fla-racer57 12-31-2006, 12:44 PM Help Monti!!!!!!! The car is very fast up front in the race but it tends to get locked down in the race.Lap times fall off bad 3.9-4.0's to 4.3's etc. I ran a .075 t-plate, red front springs, copper center spring and stiff side springs (can't remember need to look at my notes) I did Q 3rd, but stunk in the main, ran 3 pinks and a purple. The right side tires wore BAD!!! Wrong tires, Tooo much prep Remember i'm new to this rug racing, outdoors the car is very good Monti007 12-31-2006, 02:28 PM go to an .063 t-plate increase your right front camber and let the paragon soak for 15 to 20 min before running. SIlva black center spring, gold left rear spring and a blue right. Set your tweak at about 13oz on the left rear. That all should help. Who's tires are you running? Good luck. -Monti- fla-racer57 12-31-2006, 05:22 PM Bruce's kgbracing 01-01-2007, 06:26 PM if you let paragon soak for that long won't it soften your tires considerably after a days racing? Monti007 01-01-2007, 09:45 PM Tire will soften a bit but not a lot, besides soft tires are faster! -Monti- ToddFalkowski 01-02-2007, 07:43 AM Monti, how'd you do at NewCastle? I never got to go.... Monti007 01-02-2007, 10:50 AM I tq'd new track record by a lap on the second place guy. I was leading the main till I got wrecked about half way through and ended up forth. I ran 4300 here in Cincy for the first time on Saturday and I also Tq'd and broke the track record by over a lap. -Monti- JH Racing 01-06-2007, 04:36 PM If I were to buy a X-Factor conversion what does the kit come with. Any feed back will be appreciated. crisis641 01-06-2007, 04:50 PM chassis plate, battery tray, battery tray bracket, top and bottom pod plates, cross brace, nurf wing. pretty much all the graphite JH Racing 01-06-2007, 08:42 PM Thanks for the info I have been running an older X Factor and I am really happy with it . Took the TQ using a Checkpoint 7 Turn Single and ran 66 laps at Stockton. This car was a rocket. It was set up and built by KOZ and well what can I say but THANKS! Had been running a HD but this car from the bench went faster than my best time with the old car. Can't wait for the new parts. The 4200's are just so big. We don't have much of a hobby going on in Idaho so I drive all the way to CA just to race. I did take TQ in Sportsman mod the only driver in the top 3-4 to run a brushed motor. Thanks again to the Silva's for being great supporters of Oval racing!!!
