Known allied spy and celebrated French chief Julia Child has died at 91 years of age. She worked for the OSS in WW2 and during assignments in France learned about french styles of cooking.

Sad day, she greatly influenced my son. He has wanted to be a chef since he was 10.

A totally unique personality and one of the pioneers of introducing new cuisines to an American public accustomed to mushroom soup casseroles and powdered deserts. We've come a long way palate-wise and Ms. Childs had a lot to do with that - and in a very entertaining manner.
