1st, 5th, 9th, 11th, and 16th. Not bad for my team, and that's BILL ELLIOTT there in ninth!

Nice selection Swifty. I too had Elliott. 1st, 2nd, 9th, 10th, 36th.

Congrats to Gordo - 69th career win.

a few things baffled me through the race:

1) why the heck didnt marlin and r gordon go down pit road when it was closed? they ended up out/at the end of the field anyway. amazed at the stupidness there

2) How long did it take for nascar to realize there was a giant pice of debris on the track?

3) The last lap the caution was thrown at turn 4, meaning the field was frozen then, yet final positions were taken at the start/finish line?

AHHHHHH. The brain is hurting.

Good race, little boring there for awhile with the cautions. Congrats jeff, and especially DJ.

Pardon my lack of grammer skills..its sunday and im lazy. LOL

RGordon needs to learn to GET OFF THE TRACK after wrecking. He stays on the track, not off to the side mind you, but in the driving line. I've watched him do this at Richmond and at Dover. Idiot.

NASCRAP is looking at fining JGordon for not pulling into victory lane yesterday. They're thinking he was avoiding the whole "knock the Poweraid bottles of the roof" controversy. Unreal. The boys upstairs are slowly choking this sport.

It was the most exciting Brickyard race in its 11 year stint, IMO. Side by side racing is cool. This is only the second time in 11 years that I've stayed awake thru the whole race.

Completely 100% agree with ya. I stayed awake in 1995 and this year...well the only 2 i have watched every lap. Last year i watched the end. Its about time it got to side by side racing here, and i wonder what the track would be like with the smaller fuel cells here? It would keep it close racing.

I was howerver, disappointed Gordo didnt pull into the victory lane, but he gave a good picture there. I dont think it was his intentions to leave his car their either. I thought he did it tro kiss the bricks and then he was going to get back in and go to victory lane, but the swarm of bees, i mean reporters were choking him to death. He politely tried to get away from the nbc cameras numerous occaisions, i was waiting for him to go Tony on them. LOL

It was a good race, but the sport to the older fanbase is deterioratting rapidly with the new rules. I'm also becomming annoyed with total domination by only a few teams. Its pretty much the same sotry every week:

Hendrick dominates the races and some rookie or hendrick car gets the pole; robby gordon wrecks, there is something going on with Stewart, Roush and mark martin still cant seem to get it up despite having a phizer/viagra sponsor ship, and Oh my the race to get in the top 10 "playoffs" is close!!!!!! Jeremy Mayfield? Where did he come from.:jest:

But when it all boils down to it, there are few drivers I like no matter what they do, Dale Jarrett and Kyle Petty. Dont know why but i just liek them no matter what. I've met Dale on numerous occaisions and its kinda cool when he rememebers who you are every year. I even got a christmas card from him last year.

Kyle is just a class act.

Ok im done on this post
