Jamie Hanson
09-12-2004, 12:34 PM
Zubie.... Was he there this past weekend?
What kind of rollout am I looking at for stock. I was thinking about 19turn but from what eveyone is saying, it looks like stock and mod are going to be the big classes. So, that is what I am getting ready for.

erock1331
09-12-2004, 01:14 PM
Yep Zubie was there runnin mod. He told me he may opt for stock though this Saturday, he wasnt sure.

2.35-2.39 is a good starting point with a Monster.

Is There A Rain Date For This Event? After Wacthing The Weather Channel It Looks Like Ivan Might Have Akron A Little On The Soakin Freakin Wet Side.

erock1331
09-13-2004, 01:17 PM
Last year the Sunday after was the rain date, but Sunday is looking even worse than Saturday weather wise. Right now they are showing 30% chance Friday and 40% chance Saturday so hopefully the Hurricane misses us.

We'll have to check with Walt on a good rain date.

Its a shame we cant have it today, sunny and not a cloud in the sky, 75 degrees. Ughhhh

Hey guys!

Even if it rains who all is in for some test and tune on the old banked carpet track. Poor Walt, Im coming up Friday morning and plan on being there till Saturday night. Whether or not its raining???? :p

09-13-2004, 11:19 PM
I'll make the trip from Toledo if the backup plan is in door carpet!! 4 hours round trip is too iffy without insurance that I can put a car on some kind of track.

JeffPatch29
09-14-2004, 06:55 AM
Myself, my dad, and 3 other guys I am bring with me will all be in if the back-up plan is the indoor carpet. See you guys saturday.

erock1331
09-14-2004, 08:25 AM
Word to the wise........Someone better run the Carpet track backup plan by Walt before people start making plans......

Just checked the weather channel and they backed the rain % down to 30% for both Friday and Saturday....let's keep our fingers crossed.

JeffPatch29
09-14-2004, 10:04 AM
I don't think walt would let the Carpet thing go, but I don't know him as well as you locals do so maybe I'm wrong. One of the guys thats coming with me asked if the track outside got rained out if we would race inside and I said I highly doubt it. Hopefully the weather channel is right and the rain holds off till sunday or monday, but Hurricanes are so un-predicable who knows what will happen by saturday. I'll have my fingers crossed.

Here is what I was thinking. Alot of us are coming up Friday morning and plan on running all day just getting some laps in. Well if it rains why cant we just run laps on the carpet track? I'll slip him 10 bucks for electric on Friday and if it rains on Saturday I'll pay again and run all day! I dont care if we race on the clock, just take turns on the track in classes. you know get 4 or 5 mod cars and run together and then get 6 or 7 stock cars and go out, and so on. Who cares what we race on as long as we can race!!!!! Plus walt can make some money and sell some parts so it wont be a total loss for anyone. Then when its time to leave we can go for a good dinner and talk with old friends and have a good time, I'll call walt tomorrow and see, but I dont think it should be to big of a problem?????

Hey Dr. Shitaki,

I have been watching the weather channel and they say rain!! But what do they know.

I talked to Walt today and he said everyone make your plans cause if it rains we still have a big race to put on. We are going to move it indoors and run on the carpet! So rain or shine it is a go whether or not its raining!!! This came right from Walt himeself so all you out of towners bring it on and lets have some fun!!!!!

See ya Friday and Saturday!!!

I want to thank Walt Ellis for putting on one heck of a show and for Eddie Ellis who called the races. Everything ran smooth.

Also I want to thank all the guys who traveled in and the locals for coming out to support the race. 50 guys for an outside race (non-nationals) is pretty awesome.

Also a big thanks to our sponsors for sending some pretty darn good Door Prizes:
Thanks to
Fabio from SRC Batteries
Tony from Powerpush Batteries
Kenny and Dawn from KC Racing
Alan from Sureshot
Charlie and Billy from Bandit R/C
Dale from Protoform
Rick from Finishline Racing
Eric from EA Motorsports

See you next year,

Oh and one last thing I want to thank my sponsors for helping me out, without you it would have been tough to pull off the TQ and win.

I too, want to say thank you to all who helped make this such a fun race. It was my first time on the outdoor track, and I can promise it will not be my last. I look forward to the next summer season allready. Eric, congrats on the win in stock. It was well deserved. Maybe next time I will have a little more for you. Mario, you too buddy. You had a great run in Mod. Get ready for the carpet, and let me know. I will come run mod with you.
In fact, everyone ran great. It was close racing the whole time. Walt deserves a hand for making everything run smooth and fast. It has hard to do sometimes. Eddie.......Awesome job anouncing the mains. You had everyone excited. I apoligise if I missed some thank you's. Hope to see you all again soon at a racetrack this winter.

Rocket,
On the sheet I had you had 0 laps so I just went by what Frank told me how everyone finished. Said you were on his bumper so I gave you a 50 4:00 a tick slower than him.
So I probably need to swap you and Frank then.
Thanks for the correction.
