Did anybody around the Baltimore and DC area see the motion detection camera stuff on the strange animal roaming around in broad daylight? Looks like a cross between a hyena and a zebra or somesuch!. Friendly to cats n dogs, it's snooping garbage cans for food.

In Florida we're kinda used to exotic pets escaping and thriving, but what the hell kinda exotic pet was that originally? Definately freaky looking!

It looks like a dog that might have been part of animal testing. It sad if you ask me.
I am really ashamed of some people.

I saw the clip on my local news last night.

I agree with Xacto - it looks like something that was once a dog. Very unsettling thing to see.

A mad scientist genetically altered canine?

HORRENDOUS! They could have at least made him look more attractive!

XactoHazzard
07-20-2004, 02:24 PM
I don't mean he was genetically altered!!! I meant like when cosmetic companies and drug companies use animals for testing like skin burns and eye damage etc. IF someone in Baltimore had half a brain and half a heart they would call the SPCA and have the collect the dog and put it out of it's misery. It is NOT a rare species or Baltimore's prize in CryptoZoology. Give me a break, get that poor dog to a vet!!!!!

It might even be a Golden Retriever or maybe a golden Lab. I am disappointed in all human beings rightnow!

At least find out if the local zoo is missing a runt Hyena.

It didn't have "Property of the Zoo" stamped on it!Ah, I see the discussion involving Monty Python comedy bits has crept into other threads!
BTW, we live near Baltimore County and haven't heard a thing about it...

I checked out the local TV website - http://www.thewbalchannel.com/index.html - and they have some more images of it (or something very sililar to it!) that were taken closer to home last year. A rep of the state DNR thought it may have been a fox with mange, but that head is definitely un-foxlike. Point of interest to you John, the folks who took the pictures last year moved here from NJ, and he said that being from New Jersey he immediately thought it was the Jersey Devil!

Cryptozoology is alive and well! And speaking of cryptozoology, has anybody read about Incident At Loch Ness? If not, do a web search...

You gotta love human's... talking Cryptozoology when a very rare, um fox running around in broad daylight. I can't wait till the Jersey Devil sees this poor fox and reinstates his terror in South Jersey.

"They determined it was a fox with sarcoptic mange.

"It is a skin parasite that looks -- under the microscope -- like spiders," said Dr. Herko."

A fox bitten by a radioactive spider. It's Spiderfox!

Spiderfox,
Spiderfox,
you can't keep him in a box.
spins a web any size,
got the mange,
'probly die.
Look Out !
here comes the spiderfox.

who. while visiting Dr. Herkos' laboratory
was forced to try an untested Spider serum.
Dr. Herko unknowingly gave her spider-like powers!
Dedicated to fighting evil, while weaving her web of justice.
It's Spiderwoman!!

Star Wars blaster!
