View Full Version : GI Joe HUMMER H1
HMMWV 07-18-2004, 03:02 AM I stole this picture from eBay. Where did it come from originally?
(I'd love to get my hands on one before Sept/Oct)

PWSchuh 07-22-2004, 01:55 PM Custom???
HMMWV 07-22-2004, 04:35 PM This is not a custom. It can be pre-ordered at a few online diecast dealers.
The eBay auction is here (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=6913519026).
The question was:
"Where can I find the original picture that this seller had stolen?"
The local Action dealer does not have any pictures. I would like to view some good pictures before I pay $15-20 for this HUMMER.
PWSchuh 07-22-2004, 08:09 PM Looks like you could have had that one for under $12 including shipping.
But these aren't MM are they.
HMMWV 07-23-2004, 11:45 AM Action (http://www.action-performance.com/) now owns FunLine (http://www.funline-toys.com/)/Muscle Machines (http://www.musclemachines.com/)

I got the original photoshop picture from Action Performance Companies Advertising & PR
(QUITE LARGE picture from Action (http://webpages.charter.net/hmmwv/actionHUMMER.jpg))
PWSchuh 07-23-2004, 08:47 PM The key question is will this be packaged as a MM or something else??
NovaSS 07-24-2004, 12:05 AM As you've stated, Action now owns FunLine. I'm not sure where you can purchase this one so it must be some kind of promotional thing. But, I can add that this paint scheme is in celebration of GI Joe’s 40th Anniversary. The U.S. Army and MB2/MBV will run a special one-time paint scheme on Joe Nemechek's No. 01 Chevrolet Monte Carlo at Lowe’s Motor Speedway on October 16.

Whoops, I just read the eBay auction after responding. Ah well.
HMMWV 07-24-2004, 02:05 AM The key question is will this be packaged as a MM or something else??My guess is "something else". I have requested packaging info from both my local distributor & Action.
(I'll update if/when I get anything back.)
CollectionBldr 07-25-2004, 03:43 PM Those are sweet!
HMMWV 10-30-2004, 05:29 PM I went to visit one of the local Action Performance dealers today.
These are still coming!
I pre-ordered today for $7.95 each. (Much better than the $9.99 +s&h on eBay.)
...will this be packaged as a MM or something else??The workers in the store never called them "Muscle Machines" - just "FunLine".
HMMWV 10-30-2004, 05:37 PM Have you seen these yet?

I've emailed Action to see if the series was cancelled. (No reply after a week!)
The local distributor is clueless. (Big surprise!)
