If you build big RPM Monsters then Roll this motor the same as a big RPM Monster. The motor is basically the same as a Monster just has 2 less laminations and the arm is lighter giving it more RPM with a bit less torque. davepull 08-31-2004, 12:36 AM so would you say that you build these motors like the monster I ran a putnam tuned one and it was pretty stout it had the standard green blue brushe with two purple springs I put a red on the neg and it helped I ran some fast laps but it fell off @ 3 min like .3 tenths I have more of the put brushes but they are a little hard to get down here. i was going to try e brushes. erock1331 08-31-2004, 08:22 AM Davepull, I had really good luck with Reedy 769's and Hurricane Gold brushes in the Epic Roar Stock. Maybe give those a try. Lately everytime I get 767's and Putham Green's, the batch has been bad. Todd Putnam 08-31-2004, 09:20 AM Erock1331: Where are you buying our 170's/Greens? We haven't had any "bad" batches... jake86 08-31-2004, 11:07 AM what did you different from a monster?? I built it like I build my monsters. I run hurricane gold's on both sides full face and purple springs both sides and went down 1 to 2 teeth from a monster depending on how many RPM'S the motor is turning at that time. erock1331 08-31-2004, 11:56 AM Erock1331: Where are you buying our 170's/Greens? We haven't had any "bad" batches... Most of them I got earlier this year, around late April or so. I got them through one of my sponsors who I believe gets them from AAA Dist. Other than that batch I have always had good luck with Putnam Greens. Matter of fact won the nats back in April with them in my car. race3737 08-31-2004, 12:39 PM What's the difference between the #1000 RIP Stk Motor (epic based) and the #1002 Epic Based Roar Legal Stk Motor? Is #1000 the Monster Stock and #1002 the Binary? Thanks erock1331 09-01-2004, 08:44 AM What's the difference between the #1000 RIP Stk Motor (epic based) and the #1002 Epic Based Roar Legal Stk Motor? Is #1000 the Monster Stock and #1002 the Binary? Thanks The #1000 is the Trinity Monster Stock motor (40 Lamination arm, dual magnet motor, meets ROAR/ARCOR rules) The #1002 is the new Epic Roar Stock motor (38 lamination arm, dual magnet motor, meets ROAR/ARCOR rules), basically the same motor as the monster, even uses the same can but is a gold color verus green. Arm is lighter producing a tad more RPM but also loses a bit more Torque than the Monster has. The Epic Binary Outlaw Stock is a 36 lamination arm (which is short on the min 64" wire length making it illegal for ARCOR/ROAR use and has a quad magnet can which is also illegal for ROAR/ARCOR. Hope that clears it up. Todd Putnam 09-01-2004, 11:49 AM Erock: AAA hasn't purchased,(and can no longer purchase) brushes, etc; from us for quite some time. I'd be weary if they were still offering our brushes. If you send your "bad" brushes to us, I'll see that they are replaced with our "actual" / "good" brushes in any event. Like I stated in my earlier post, everything we've gotten from Keystone has been very consistent for the last couple of years now. Regards, Todd Putnam Putnam Propulsion www.putnampropulsion.com (518)452-0422 erock1331 09-01-2004, 01:28 PM Todd, Thanks for the offer and standing behind your product but I think they are all used up now. hyperdriver77 09-02-2004, 11:16 PM Has anyone figured out the proper gearing for these motors?
