Eric:

I don't understand why you would have to order them ? Mike said he has the

larger Mini T stock in the whole area. I guess Hobbytown USA doesn't count

I called out there and they have them in stock !

Nitro Mike said he didn't have any in stock, i looked around too and i didn't see them...So i told him to order them for me...Atleast im not getting Hobbytown to order them for me :P. Mike (R.), is there any way you could tell me if they're in stock or not? Or how long does an order ussually take, (Nitro Mike said he ordered them on Saturday) Or I could just call the shop tommorow. Thanks.

McSmooth is right... they are a hot item and can't keep enough in stock. We cleaned out Horizon two weeks ago and they are still waiting for their supply to be replentished. We are howver, expecting a delivery from CA hopefully before Saturday.
Thanks for supporting SCH!

Mike will you be racing your sedan tomorrow?

Mike@SteelCity
10-08-2004, 09:48 PM
I actually have all my components... even the personal transponder! The problem is... TIME! That is something I do not have. I have to swing by McCullough's Off-Road track in the morning to pick up our new signs... but I will be there for kickoff... Um... I mean the start of the race. Maybe I can have it put together by the 2nd heat.

Hey!

Thank you to all who attended and to all those who "Wanted" to attend! After a quick stop up at McCullough's Off-Road, I made it back before the 1st race back at SCH.
Good time by all. We will race next Saturday again, but some will be at the Autumn Glory race at our Maryland store. (Check it out as it is a great time)

Race results and Points are posted on the website.

I like the detail SCH puts forward into the racing. From start to finish downward to the results on the website. You can recreate the pursuit from the race info from the results. Nice touch!

Wish i coulda raced Saturday, but i seemed to have gotten into trouble before the race and couldn't go....I stopped by around 5:00 to see if the turnbuckles came in, but the ones i told Nitro Mike to order were wrong and he had to find the right ones and order them. (TY mike) HOPEFULLY i'll make it our next saturday, unless i go down to Maryland to race...which i might|

I need turnbuckles bad as well... My Mini-T looks like it has a bad case of arthritis. I will have to see what NitroMike has as whatever he has may work for me. Still working on the brushless system... I was sure to grab one before they all sold. Waiting for GP1100's and lithium batteries to come in. I'm off to Chicago this week so I will post pics Friday on what is new and hot for the up-coming season!
Have fun!

Even though I posted this in the On-Road thread... I hate to repeat myself, but thanks again to everyone who raced today in WashPa... nice to have new faces. And thanks to all the carpet guys who traveled to MD for the Autumn Glory race! Too bad it was SNOWING and raining SIDEWAYS... but the cook out (in) was delicious! Thanks to the McBride's for bringing in some excellent food and desert! Thanks to everyone else from WV, MD and PA for making the appearance at both tracks today as we look forward to seeing you again in the near future!
Pictures/results on the site as always. Don't forget to check your points too as it could be a tight series!

Back in 5 minutes. My friend and myself drive over an hour this afternoon (Sunday) to practice in the Washigton store and that sign is on the door. We sat, stood, walked around in circles for 45 minutes and still no one showed up. Guess we learned to call before we waste our afternoon again.

Snookie

Did you check out the racing at Aarons down the hall???

Mike@SteelCity
10-18-2004, 12:40 AM
Yeah, we started our "winter/football" hours of closing at 2 on Sundays... There are more football fans than rc fans? I waxed the floor and headed out because there was a death in the family... One of the workers must have left a note on the door... sorry about that!!

Snookie's comment was also correct... one or two SCH helpers were racing at Aarons. Hope it was a good turnout!

Kaug, you can call or check the website for times. Sorry to waste your afternoon.

Mike

Be sure to check out the Halloween display at the store if you are around... or check out www.steelcityhobbies.com

Also, fastest lap time overall gets an 8x10 autograph picture of Hines Ward... The record has been broken twice so far, but standing since 3 weeks ago.

Hmmm... That would not be a bad idea either.
I just want to have some consistency with start times and time in between heats. This means we will continue to have a consistent regiment when it comes to track racing. People travel from 3 other states so I want to be as consistent as possible. With that said, this week will start no later than 1PM!

Hey snook! :D Thanks for hangin at the store on Sunday. Sorry I could not spend more time with you as I got caught up unloading a full trucks (17') worth of goods.

Mike

Mike@SteelCity
10-26-2004, 11:28 PM
Eric,
Holly smokes... great picture... who was the proud owner of that truck? I hear there was carnage all over after that race... and that was the most exciting race of the season! I hope to race stadium truck this weekend.

Snookie, yeah, I have already had a few phone calls. haha Heading to Pittsburgh Trophy on Thursday to look at "Cups" for the Drag Racing series as well. Picking up a few others for the final points race in MD while I'm at it. One week from Saturday we are buying dinner at CeiCi's for the winner of the Mains... (4 select classes TBD this weekend) We are hoping to have a big crowd at that race so it should be fun.

I am not sure if that was Jim's truck or not... I heard 2 other trucks lost a front wheel as well...

I think you have some stiff competition McSmooth... Rob is leading the series, and we have some big wigs comin' in from out of state... get your practice in!

I think that was Jim Hall's truck (the one missing the wheel).

Dinner for the winners? I'll have to make sure to stick around for my main that day!

Yea, the blue truck is Jim Hall's. That was the funniest, yet most exciting race i've seen so far, lol. The black truck is the truck of the guy who was running the computer stuff, not Tony, but the other guy.

My Mod motor for the Mini-T should be here before the race on saturday.

Which Mod motor are you getting? And WHERE from?
I have the BigBlock, and will install the Mamba soon as I get to it.
This should be a great weekend of racing all across Pittsburgh. Every week becomes more and more exciting!
Don't forget, in one week from this Saturday, SCH buys dinner for A-Main winners in 4 classes! All you can eat!

Figures, my diff. is making clicking noises and all kinds of other crap. And when i ordered the MIP Ball Diff. one Tuesday they said they'd have to get it from California. Maybe i'll just come watch, or else, how much is a stock Losi Differential?

Mike@SteelCity
10-30-2004, 10:46 PM
Eric,
All you needed was a differential? You did not need to buy a whole new Mini-T! I was impressed how you switched everything over and WON the A-Main in Stock Mini-T! Good work!

We had a super turn out with many spectators! I think everyone had fun. Congratulations to Gary and Jim for winning FREE Lunch/Dinner at Shorty's! Thank You to Shorty's for making that happen. If you did not win, you have a chance again next week thanks to Shorty's and Ci Ci's! Free Dinner with All-You-Can-Eat buffet! Next week will be a HUGE race with friends from other states making the visit and prizes. Don't forget to get to the track early because we will start racing at 1PM sharp!
