Like I said... SORRY if I said that! All fixed now. :) Thanks!
Mike

This is where you said I would get the 7-cell battery with the peak charger (by teamlosi). I can understand where other people can get confused, but you did say it.........

No problem. Doors are open all day and the computer system will be fired up around sixish... I just want to keep on the Mall's good side without too many racers roaming around the cooridors after hours. We will get started whenever we get started... very loose. This will be a test drive of the new road-course so lets have some fun!
M

I agree that we need to push the start time back for Friday night racing. No earlier than 7:30 PM. Maybe track 'opens for practice' at 6 PM!

Hey thanks to everyone who stopped in! And thanks to those who "wanted" to stop in! The road-course looks to be A LOT of fun! I can hardly wait to get my XXX-S finished. I am almost there! My pan car is almost finished... just need to cut the body that John painted up for me way back when... and adjust the front wheels. I traded my Francis 1 truck for this pan car so thanks to Rich Price for that deal! I can't wait to run oval tomorrow.
Have a great weekend!

Mike racing was great saturday. I cant believe how easy switching the track from oval to road coarse is (2 minutes). Is was nice to race oval or road coarse in the same day.

Mike@SteelCity
09-27-2004, 09:24 AM
How do you like your Mini-T? By the way, were you one of the few who bought a Mini-T from the store on Saturday? We had a lot of fun racing Mini-T's (and other models) on Saturday... Most like the road-course, but some did not as they can't turn right! haha (oval lovers) We even added a nice jump for that race and that just added to the excitement. This week we may have 2 separate classes, one of oval, and the other for road course. No big deal as the switchover takes less that 2 minutes... much easier than I had thought it was going to be.

Maxx,
Sorry to hear you deviated off course! I hope you did not spend too much as we are a directly connected with Team Losi and can extend discounts to our loyal customers. ;) Our Mini-T department is larger than any other store’s in the whole area. But I would email or call the store for your specific request because as usual, if we do not have it, we can within a day or two of ordering. We will be pushing out an order tonight so get your parts request in ASAP so you can have it in by this weekend.

Mike,

Eric,
We were thinking about racing road-course on Friday nights... but with the track so easy to convert, we could easily fit everything in on Saturday. It really is up to all of the racers. Friday night we will run racing if we have enough in attendance. Otherwise it will be set up for road course for practice. We have had a lot of interest in "Drifting" as well... so the classes are beginning to stack up nicely.
Mike

The beauty of having the track at the store, is that you can race ANYTIME you want! We have the facility to hold races anytime the store is open! We just set "a few" suggested guidelines to help funnel racers together at any given point to give one another some competition. If someone has a better plan, we are completely open to comments and suggestions. I personally can run the computer Tues - Friday at any time... weekends; we are scheduled for Saturdays and can fluctuate that start time depending on the majority of racers. Sundays, well, that is not out of the question either. It is just tough with the football season and not having a TV - Yet!

So is there going to be a touring car race this friday? Do you expect enough to show to have an actual race? And if so what time would it start? Any set track rules yet?

Mike@SteelCity
09-30-2004, 12:03 AM
Last week, people said 6:00 was too early... then some say racing should all be on Saturday... I say if there are enough racers, we will race anytime! 7:00-ish seems to be the middle of the road for Friday want-to-be-racer's. Doors open around Noon.

I have heard of 4 people bringing their touring car in this Friday evening. We can make it a race if we have 2 or more! Ha ha We did that last week actually. I can't see charging people 10 bucks to race if there are only 2 or 4 people... if it is a low number like that, it will be "practice" pricing I figure. 5 beans that goes toward the electricity and the mall. :(

As far as rules, we do have some. They will be posted at the track, but our sign guy has not delivered yet. (Frequency board & rules) Basically, this is not a "Death Race 2000"... but general common sense rules apply. No smoking, controlled substances, fighting, etc. As far as more technical rules, you can use any tire compound you want, and general racing rules apply to the actual racing.

I would suggest bringing an extension cord, as our "drops" are not installed to the island tables.

Maxx, will y ou be racing your Mini-T? Most of those racers come on Saturday. But you are very welcome to come in Friday.

Mike

Eric,
Thanks for stopping in. You set up your Mini-T nice! We should have a stock/mod Mini-T class tomorrow if we have enough between the two. Although, your Mini-T was running pretty well with the battery selection you have! I am going to get those for the store.
See you tomorrow!
Mike

Hey Eric!
You are up late! It is past my bed time!
You would be in stock because you have a stock motor. But you have a STRONG motor and could hang with the mod guys if you wanted... we will see how many entries we have. Do you want to run Oval, Roadcourse or both?
