I figured we should start a new thread since we have a new place to race. If anyone has any questions I'll try to answer them or get answers for you.

Grand Opening is July 17, this will be a free race starting around 6:00 PM. The track is located at the intersection of US 65 & MO 744 (Kearney St) between 65 & Springfield Underground.

Hi MK if theres no good place to eat around there , I live down the highway about 5 miles and I could smoke us some ribs the night before! I will be fast if you the master continues to teach me.{you the master}Point series I thought you guys went dirt oval.

Only if it rains. There is a dirt oval money race at Allen's in the other Springfield that day. If it rains the race out we might it. Oh, if only Bob is going to be there too.

First of all let me explain something about me taking the summer off. Most people know that I don't like racing in the summer and I have taken off before in the past and have always come back in the fall. We all get burned out sometimes and its good to take a break every once an while. Personally I think its is time for a change and I think it will be good for everyone. I have many projects that I am working on at home and need to get completed before winter gets here. Like I said I hate to race in the summer time , but I love to race in the winter months.

Will Bob quit....No ( be back September or October)
Will Matt be fast.... Yes
Will Brent race every week.... No and thats not bad
Will Gene race again....... Yes
Will we have to find a new eatery...... No
Who will hold the track record first..... Jason

The track will be very fast and will have side by side racing. see i am spoiled

Cool! One change I'm hoping for is "ice" on the inside of the turns in place of that dreaded black pipe! LOL! :D

I'd rather slide on a slick inner area than bounce off a pipe out into traffic or out to the wall!

Yes, for now the classes & rules are the same.

Sean told me that he would be there around 8:00 AM saturday morning so we should be able to get in any time after that. I believe we are planning on starting at the same time (6:00).

Glad to here you guys are coming down Shane. I wish I could have made it up there but it was a little short of notice for me.

What about Paragon? Tables,chairs, cords? Just checking so I can let my guys know.

Good group of guys from down there hope we can all do more for Oval Racing in Missouri, and get together more often.

4 min races, ROAR rules for stock, no Binary's, ARCOR for 19T, as far as I know Paragon is OK. There is plenty of tables & chairs for pitting, they should have all of the electricity ran by then but it might be a good idea to bring extension cords just in case.

We like racing with you guys too, & I hope we can grow oval too.

Hey M.K. I will be in my swimming pool all day Saturday, to hot for me to be in a building with a bunch of smelly guys. See you this fall when its nice and cool. The summer is for play and fun and to spend some time with the family for me.

Speaking of "too hot"... Since the pits are not air conditioned, I assume we should try to remember to bring fans or something, right...? And just how 'hot' is "hot"...?

They are planning on leaving the doors to the track area open & putting a big fan in to blow the cool air to the pits. It shouldn't be too bad back there but it might be a good idea to bring fans anyway.

Has anyone run on the track? How many laps. What is the run line?

Shane, yes, Kevin & Timmy have run on the track a little. I'm going to run some laps tonight. The run line is around 150 or 160 ft & I would think that we will be around 52 or 53 laps once the grove comes in.
