I looked good behind every ones car. I was slow, I made a bad decission on motor and still turned 51 laps. I had a blast. The racing is really getting close. There are 5 to 7 guys that can win and that makes it exciting. Its not even easy to make the A main and there should be no shame to be in the B or C mains as close as the racing is. The track is just going to keep getting faster 52 laps maybe 53 laps is going to be turned before the end of the year. :thumbsup:

Real good racing saturday night in the a main guys had a blast, there was more work in the pits saturday night than i've ever seen it. I think we need to all pitch in and buy jason dinner one of these night for all the dyno pulls we all had before the a main, that thing had to be wore out. See ya all jeff!!!!!!! :thumbsup:

For someone that turns both ways and downs oval every chance he gets he sure spends a bunch on time on this thread. No problem here Both Ways just would be nice if you would have some positive comments ever once an a while. :thumbsup:

It's looking like I've got Marvin and Phil all lined up for this weekend! I built an L4O from "parts" and sold it to Phil, so he has his own "Sportsman" ride, and I may have found another racer to run "rent-a-ride" in "Sportsman" to keep Phil and Marvin honest... :D

I sure hope I can repeat on my 49's and that 50/4:00 from the 1st time... That was the most competitive I've ever been with you guys...!

I have some family stuff I have to do this week end but I think I am still going to be able to race. So hope to see you this week end Tom. :wave:

Ha. Please point out one comment that I made that is negative towards oval racing. I used to race oval, thought about getting back into it and that is why I started looking at this forum. Springfield isn't too far of a drive and thought it would be fun. I'll pass for now and stick to dirt racing as oval looks to be too expensive to get started right now.

If you want to get into oval myself or most any of us oval racers will be more than happy to help you in any way we can. The most important thing is the set up in oval and like I said most of the oval racers will be clad to help you out getting started.

We are trying to make the rules more clear to put a stop to the bickering

2. You guys race Dynos more than you race cars - We spend 16 minutes on the track on a race night, there is now way that we spend that much time on the dyno. If we did it would burn up.

Bob is right, most of the oval guys will help you if you want to get into oval racing. I will be the first to tell you that I have been beaten by my own set up plenty of times. But sharing information only helps other people be successful, & the more people that are successful, the more we can grow our little hobby. I don't want to start or keep any arguments going because they only hurt the hobby that we love. On the other hand I don't like to see comments that discourage anyone from trying oval racing. No hard feelings here. I would love to see you give oval a try!!

Tom things are the same. open some time before I get there and I get there around noon. I think they open at ten not shure. racing 10 bucks, 5 bucks for add. classes, starting time 6:00 or so, Time spend Priceless:thumbsup:

Hey Jason, why not come up some Saturday and run some dirt oval with me? You can run either the sprint or the mod latemodel. Can run either Jacksonville(big track) or Allen's(just a little shorter).
Remember, you don't own the track down there, so you don't have be there ever week to support it. You can go race other places too. Right Brent?

I'm currently working on a website for the track. Doing it as a favor for Matt & Sean. I will post again with the address when it is live.

Just a little background on me since this is my first post, I've been out of R/C for about 6-7 years and I'm looking to get back into it. I used to race at Pontoon Beach on a weekly basis years back. This hobby revolves around new technology so its taking me a while to catch up. You guys may see me racing 1/12 scale during the indoor season at the R/C race place.

Hey Justin, nice to see you on here. They better give you some respect or us fellow Pontoon guys will have to come down there. Next time we come down I'll bring you some old stuff laying around to get you oval racin.
