BrentP 08-11-2004, 11:49 AM Sounds like you guys bicker and cheat too much for me to get into it. I'll stick with off-road racing. That is the reason for generating these rules. We know that these things turn people off to oval racing. By putting a stop to cheating we will put a stop the the uncertainties that people have sometimes. Attitudes will get better & oval racing can grow again. __________________ Brent Pearcy Bulit Motorsports (http://www.bulitmotorsports.com/) jake86 08-11-2004, 05:17 PM We don't want to turn people off of oval racing. We are just wanting to fix some problems that have come up in the past. That way we don't have someone get into racing oval then stop because they think people are cheating. There has been some people that have been going around saying that they think someone is cheating then that person will tell someone else and so on and so on and the people that are just starting to race will hear that and think it is true when is not true and they stop racing because of that. Because they think that the race director is not doing anything about it. Which hurts the turn out and we are just trying to stop that from happening. Bob W 08-11-2004, 08:16 PM Guys....U know if U are the fastest person on the track that day, or set the track record for your class , some one is going to say that YOU ARE CHEATING, Know one can go that fast. So teching motors and cars is the only way to keep it honest. Well it looks like just about everything has been covered on this subject, so good luck. Thats my ¼ cents worth  One more thing, when I do come down to race again, I hope that I am the fastest person in my class. I hope that someone thinks I am cheating and has Twenty bucks to take my motor apart. Hope to see U all soon. Bring your Twenty dollars. I have 4 arms that need to be replaced.:) Matt Bayless 08-11-2004, 09:24 PM I have got us some entry forms to the race in K.C.If you want one let me know so I can make extra copies for you guys . Shane sent me several but I figure why not ask to save you guys the hassel of getting one. Bob Cole 08-12-2004, 09:01 AM With any new track there are growing pains and we are going through them right now. It will take time to get everthing sorted out but at least the guys are trying to put together some rules and it will help all of us in the end. I think its is great that the oval guys and the road course guys can work together and form there own rules to make this a great track to race at. I know that the owners are going to do everything to make this track a success. I am with you Bob, I take it as a complement when someone thinks I am cheating because that means I have done my job right on the car. In fact I even kind of enjoy it if people think I am cheating. lol jake86 08-12-2004, 10:24 AM On to something else. I heard a that someone that hasn't raced in a while might race this weekend. Just a something I heard we will have to wait and see. Bob Cole 08-12-2004, 10:56 AM If I can get some things squared away I may race this week end. I will be slow but I may as well get some time in on the new track and get used to it a bit before I buy all new batteries and stuff to be fast. Besides this cool weather has my racing juices flowing. :D mullins 75 08-12-2004, 11:43 AM Brent, We are going to talk to Tim tomorrow, about the two day race. if he doesn't have to put out money, I'm sure it will be a go. Eddy talk to him yesterday about it and said he didn't mind. we are working on a sponcer for the race, to buy the thophies. If you guys could let me know how many guys are coming, I will work on the closest motel to the track, and see if we can get a lower rate. Thanks Larry Mullins BrentP 08-12-2004, 12:08 PM Brent, We are going to talk to Tim tomorrow, about the two day race. if he doesn't have to put out money, I'm sure it will be a go. That sounds good to me. Matt Bayless was talking about renting a van & getting a goup to go in on it with him but the last time I talked to him he couldn't find anyone interested in committing to the idea. I am going to be staying with my wife's uncle so I won't need a place. As soon as I know if anyone else is coming, I'll let you know. __________________ Brent Pearcy Bulit Motorsports (http://www.bulitmotorsports.com/) Night Rogue 08-12-2004, 11:27 PM Are you going to make it this weekend to the track? I don't know for sure if I am going to be there this coming week end or not but if I am I would be clad to try and help you with your car set up or anything else you may need help with. If I am not there I am sure someone else would be clad to help you like Jason or Brent. I know it can be difficult sometimes , been there myself. Bob Cole Lefthander-RC Night Rogue 08-15-2004, 09:11 PM Appreciate it Bob. But my car took a massive physical beating lastnight in the sportsman main, All four of my wheels are broken beyond repair , both front wheel bearings are history, my spur gear is trashed, and I'm not sure yet, but I think my diff is trashed also, it doesn't roll or move. The only other problem was one of my battery packs died. BrentP 08-16-2004, 10:11 AM Sorry to hear you had such a rough night Dennis. I should be there this weekend to help you. I may try to just run one class, that will free me up to help you more. We need to try to get you out of the sportsman class, that would probably help you more than anything. You can only learn so much when everyone is beating & banging you into the walls or infield. If you need anything to get get you up & running again just let me know, I have plenty of parts that I could loan you. __________________ Brent Pearcy Bulit Motorsports (http://www.bulitmotorsports.com/) BrentP 08-16-2004, 02:32 PM Saturday's results are posted!! __________________ Brent Pearcy Bulit Motorsports (http://www.bulitmotorsports.com/) Redline Chassis 08-16-2004, 08:53 PM How is the dirt oval track coming? I was up the 2nd night of racing and talked to one of the guys running the place(Sean I think). I looked at the plans for all the different tracks to be built there. You guys are very lucky to have such a nice place to race. Night Rogue 08-16-2004, 08:57 PM Thanks Brent I appreciate it, but I think I'm going to get my truck and buggy going and just start racing at Ozark. My son and I broke them sunday in the parking lot across the street. :jest: BrentP 08-17-2004, 09:18 AM How is the dirt oval track coming? I was up the 2nd night of racing and talked to one of the guys running the place(Sean I think). I looked at the plans for all the different tracks to be built there. You guys are very lucky to have such a nice place to race. They haven't started on the Dirt Oval yet. The offroad track is done & they have run one race on it with a pretty good turn out. We are pretty excited about the place. Something like this is overdue in our area. There are tons of people that would have raced for a lot of years had there been a place like this. Thanks Brent I appreciate it, but I think I'm going to get my truck and buggy going and just start racing at Ozark. My son and I broke them sunday in the parking lot across the street. :jest:Sorry to hear that Dennis, Oval racers are sort of a dieing breed around here & we are hoping to change that. That is why we got together to figure out the rules & how we could attract more racers. In oval racing there is a very fine line in being fast & you have to have everything just right to compete. That is what I like about it. It is very challenging to be & stay one of the fast guys. I hope you reconsider Dennis, like I said before, if we can get you out of the sportsman class, I think you will have more fun & most likely save some money in parts. You might be the slowest guy out there for a while but at least you will improve your skills by getting to actually drive a full race. __________________ Brent Pearcy Bulit Motorsports (http://www.bulitmotorsports.com/) Redline Chassis 08-17-2004, 09:52 AM What type of track is Ozark? Are they going to have the dirt oval up and running this year? Our new sprint is mainly still a cad drawing but hope to have it built and ready to test in a week or two. Do you guys have alot of interest in dirt oval? BrentP 08-17-2004, 10:01 AM Ozark is an offroad track built on the parks truck or tractor pull run I think. They have a lot of fun down there. I think there is some interest in Dirt Oval but I'm not sure if it will be real big. I would like to give it a shot but I have a hard time justifying spending that kind of money just to try it. I would be happy to do some testing for a new chassis company though.:jest: Where are you from? __________________ Brent Pearcy Bulit Motorsports (http://www.bulitmotorsports.com/) MK Race 08-17-2004, 10:09 AM Hey Brent, he said sprint car, that means dirt oval. BrentP 08-17-2004, 10:11 AM I know what he said MK  I need another class to beat you in. __________________ Brent Pearcy Bulit Motorsports (http://www.bulitmotorsports.com/) Matt Bayless 08-17-2004, 07:16 PM ozark is a offroad track but we also have a dirt oval that goes around it .It is a 266 run line.We do run it when their is three or more wanting to run oval .I am there and run every Sun.I also run the offroad heats to.The oval is a blast 5 minutes hits six cell not seven.step pins with soft inserts rear hookup the rear pretty darn good. Night Rogue 08-17-2004, 07:37 PM Do most of them run 3300's 6 cell or 2400's? Night Rogue 08-17-2004, 07:47 PM I'd be in their way Brent besides I just want to have fun. when I get that frustrated and it starts getting me P.o.'d then it's time to stop. I don't mind being in the sportsman class I just race to have fun, and when it's not fun and I start taking it way to serious , it's time to stop and move on to something else. MK Race 08-17-2004, 08:07 PM Hey Brent, you forgot to add "try".:) You on dirt????:jest: Redline Chassis 08-17-2004, 09:17 PM Brent, I live in Webb City,MO. We are right next to Joplin. Not really a new company but this will be a new car. Nitro dirt oval racing costs less than 1/4 of what carpet does to run well, if that helps. I will be sending a few cars out to do testing when the time comes. Matt, do you guys normally have any nitro on the oval? With that big of a track that would be cool. If you guys are looking to get guys started in dirt oval as inexpensive as you can here is some food for thought. Nitro dirt late model- basic car is a touring car with a late model body on it. Nitro edm I built a basic edm (still not done) for my oldest son using a gt trans gt chassis, rpm worlds front and rear arms,tc3 rack on just a few hand fabricated parts. Several companies around sell nice edm bodies or I can custom make one to fit whatever kind of car you have. The sprints step you into abit more money but are alot of fun. Check out dirtoval.com and see alot of other builders as well. Matt Bayless 08-17-2004, 11:33 PM Most of us run 3300s.We run electric on the oval not nitro but we do run nitro on the offroad. We have put in a request from the park board to extend the track thirty feet. For the nitro cars.It is in the prossess of aproval. And for more dirt to be brought in for some bigger jumps in the future still alot of begginers to big of jumps would discourge them.Want them to have fun and not worry about breaking. My name is Gabe Porta and I live in Springdale, Arkansas. I run Sedan and am looking to race some 1/12 scale as well. My question is what is the turn out for sedan, and how many guys will be racing 1/12 scale this fall and winter. looking forward to racing with you guys, hope to hear back from someone. Gabe Porta Brahma Racing Products Team Driver gabeporta@yahoo.com Bob Cole 08-18-2004, 11:31 PM I would guess that there will be a very good turn out for 1/12 scale this fall. I would say at least 10 to 15 racers. The Touring car turn out was around 7 to 10 last week. You need to come down and take a look at the track. It is a very nice track. I am a oval racer but the road course they have set up is sweat and I wouldn't mind giving it a try myself. Bob Cole Lefthander-RC Night Rogue 08-19-2004, 06:37 AM Hope everything turns out good for you Matt. I need to get rear suspension arm for my buggy and a front suspension arm for my T3.
