Fact fastest cars there were a TRC disropter (tom p) and a customworks agressor (me) 5.1 lap times. both on RC4LESS rubber with a little racing luck look out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was actually hoping kat beat you last night, i coulda got a good deal on the CW car when you had to sell your stuff.......muuuuuhahahahaha!:devil:

yaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh I love it man I have been to Daytona 3 times the first time I tqued and broke the second time I tqued and lapped the field for the win. 3rd time was lastnight with a new car that got less than one battery of practice on it and was still able to rip off the lowest lap time. I also was the fasest car on the track in the first qual. and 2nd fastest in the main. I had a 116 sec lap and still ran 54 laps. oh well next race will be different. Should be alot of fun.


we should start a point series between strickland and Jax. it would be setup like this

2nd sat point race at strickland 3rd sat @ JAX do it for three months best 3 out of 5 races. decide who gets the last points race by the coin flip.

Well well another run at stricklands...Kudos to MB and crew..you guys never disappoint us...Last night was my first time running one class and really enjoyed it, but that Nastruck and 1/12 scale was there just in case I changed my mine. I really enjoyed the one class but was really bored. lol

Twice a month at Stricklands....I'm already thinking about it but it will be one oval night and the other on-road LOL.

dave p i have a few small focar cups from last year.....a point series would be cool...but what about a simple 2 track challenge? stock and 19 turn challenge we have to enter both classes and come up with some kind of points deal to calculate a winner ? i say one race at hobby world saturday and one race at strickland saturday..also we could make a team event out of it as well? winning team keeps the cup at there track? focars and rgu will sponsor the cups......... we would need a few guys with some spare time on there hands to get it organized correctly though? my plate is full with focars..but i have the cups...i think big dog r/c might chip in something as well? what ya say?

Lowly Stock guy's have not been mentioned yet so I guess I will. Steve P. Tom P. and myself were 1 2 3 all day and in the main we had the cars to beat and were all running pretty equal.(only cars to run a 5.7) Lots of wrecks in that main and the first time I had my car fly off the track any where and end up in the grass. It seemed like everyone of us but Kurt got hammered. He stayed out of trouble from the 4 th qualifing spot took the win. I actually made my lap back and on the last lap cought Kurt for the lead. He slammed the door outa 4 and we spun and I ended up waiting to be marsheled semmed like 30 min. for 4 th but oh well . I luv that track and will be back the next time the gates open. Like Dave P. says I suck so I have no sponsers to mention... NEXT!!

The only problem with Team Daytona vs Team Jax is that do Team Daytona have the players? Team Jax had a strong showing from one end of pit row to the far end. We came to Strickland to race ourselves. Oh now I remember where team d was somewhere in the middle LOL....all joking aside that would be a cool idea...battle of the tracks both in stock and 19t....

Yeah it should only be the top 5 cars in the a Main. Top 3 wouldn't be enough and all 10 would be to much. We have been calling ourselves "Team Jax" for a while and I say stick with that. Daytona can call themselves " The Other team" Just a thought..lol

Kat we race at HW every third Sat. so yes. I also strongly agree with running Stock and 19 turn. Sounds like this is going to be a really cool deal. So if we can agre on a points system and then set a date we are good to go. Your team is a little small though.

I agreed with kat about the classes because I think he means include the two so that people who run stock or 19 turn only can be in the game. But I may be wrong I also agree with Dave there are 2 many to pick 5

Fella's This is snowballing into more than it needs to be. If I may let me take a stab at it. I see what everyone is trying to acheive but like Katf1sh say's. Its all about getting us all to race since we do it well and all get along.

Its looks to me that what needs to happen is hold preliminary or qualifying races at each track and invite everyone to participate not just whoever someone thinks is worthy.

Now if it will truly be a two class, Stock and 19t challenge, Only use those two classes on the given preliminary race day/night to qualify the drivers who want to participate but do not limit the host tracks raceday/night program to only those two classes. Integrate the challenge seamlessly into the tracks normal program. There are racers that will not want to be a part of it for one reason or another. Let'em race as they usually do.

Another thing to consider is that some racers, although they may like to race both classes, doing so at the same race may be asking a little much. Dont require it.

Having preliminary/qualifying races for the team's also makes it possible for both areas drivers to try out the other track beforehand just incase they have never run there before.

It seems like every one from Jax has an opinion on how to do this thing, so I sugest us Jville guys nominate a representative to siimplify things. Also to add to what Butts said, Everyone should be able to participate....but we should take the top X number from each team to tally the scores. Kat just posted 5 names so maybe we use the top 5 results from each team but anybody and everybody gets to compete.

Anyway, I nominate DaveP to negotiate the terms w/ Katfish ... if he would accept the nomination.

As far as the team thing it is really hard to figure out. lets scrap it!!!!!!!!!!!! and start fresh

3 guys per class per city to be picked by the racers of the respected city. this is only for the team cup and the results of the a main will determan the standings.

to make it simple jax guys pick 3 guys in stock and 3 guys in 19t to score points for the team cup. at the end of the day how these 6 cars did will be added up.

i had no intentions of closing down 19 turn or stock at either track just to the teams. i was just closing down the cars who counted for points.and yes alot of us daytona boys would be forced to run stock as well as 19 turn. i have no problem with that as long as mike bean seperates the classes so we all have time to get our cars together?


with all that being said.....if you look at the focar calender how many of those dates conflict with hobby world and the saturday once a month? april 15th is the first focar race.....april 9th is strickland ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh i'm getting dizzy from this,lol.

I think you got it right, theres no way to pick teams without hurting somebodys feelings. Let the A main races results pick the winners and losers by points.

How about this ? ....... we leave the points racing stuff in the FOCAR ranks, and we just have nice competitive "club" races @ Strickland and Hobbyworld for FUN and bragging rights.... and if Kat beats Dave P straight up with no wrecks or technical problems ..... Dave P has to sell all his oval stuff .... like he was talking last time we raced.....:freak: :jest:

Just trying to make it too serious. Make it a cup if you want. Just see which "side" has a higher average finish over the 2 classes. Average the whole A main and not points.
ie. Jax finishers in 3, 5, 7, 8
Tona in 1, 2, 4, 6,
3 +5 + 7 + 8 = 23/4 = 5.75
1+2+4+6=13/4 3.25 or something

Daytona has higher finishing average so wins the class. If Jax won the other class then look at the 2 finishing averages. Then someone takes the cup.

The averaging would take 3 minutes after all of the races are over. Then its just for fun.

But just do the averaging after the touring race, that way someone can marshall and not leave or whatever.
