guys chill all im saying is i hope your happy with the cars you got,cus i wont be able to bring anymore from here because they wont buy a motor.you guys hated to buy a c2 when we were running them.

and dont give me that shizzat about mike and billy holding every record with an ultrabird, those guys would kick our a$$'s anyway.and yes they would be faster with a non spec motor.heck i know ill be back but i dont see how any new faces will.

kat u asked me what i thought the difference was between the two motors are?i rebuilt my motors last night and my ultrabirds are one @ 92watts the other @ 94 watts,my arcors were one @ 102 watts and one at 105 watts.which motor would u pefer?????????????????just my .02 cents bear see you guys at rpm

I've ran both... The ultrabird is just as fast as a handwound. If you want to go faster, Work on your chassis.

Hey Guys;
In regards to the Race at Strickland RC Park scheduled for this Saturday, we are going to cancel the event due to the Hurricane. Sorry for the inconvenience it will cause to our fellow racers, any questions contact Mike Bean 386-451-4486.

I did hear a rumor that we might of had to cancel anyways because Rich and Chris had tickets to the circus on Saturday, but that was only a rumor? You might call Mike Boylan to clarify that.
Thanks RC Racers

It looks like this thread is dead but it was the only "Stricklands" thread I could find. I hope someone's scrip is still active and I get a reply. I'm thinking of racing offroad out there and I was hoping someone could get me a base setup for an AE T3 including tires and inserts! Any takers? LMK

probally only thr ultraturd

rcgen
03-11-2005, 01:59 PM
I haven't heard there was a required motor to run at Stricklands. There have always been talk about the birds but nothing officially. Maybe Mr. Bean will address it here or at the track. I would prefer we run what we have. This is a "club" type race, but it's up to him...I don't have any of those high price motors but I do have three ultrabirds that on cost me 51 buck. One from a $1 raffle and two at $25 a piece. So I am happy.

katf1sh
03-11-2005, 06:29 PM
the gentelmans agreement is to use the ultra bird motor only in 19 turn. problem is there are so few gentelman around. rich, ronny, billy and myself only use the bird motor. in the end it is realy up to mike bean. i would think with the speedway race being ultra birds only "most" would set there cars up to speedway specs for a good practice?

travymoto1
03-12-2005, 12:15 AM
I ask because I wil be running 1/10th 19t and 1/12th 19t. I am a bit short to run only Ultra's ... so I'l ask on Sat. Thanks for the posts.

I had a blast as well and was stoked to qualify 4th in 19t. In the main however...while running about 4th, I T-boned a spun car and turned my left fron axle into a 90* elbo...lol. Stricklands is just such a fun track...I can't wait until next month. Kudos to the crew that run the races and congrats to the winners!!!

Travis

I think Tom Pedano and I qualified 3rd and 4th respectiviely on RC4Less tires...they were hooked up!!!

David Butts
03-13-2005, 10:06 AM
Yes sir Stricklands is a must do track for me. Only track I know of where I can totally disgust myself on the track, Break my car, Drop never to be seen again parts in the grass and destroy a perfectly good body and still be planning my next trip before the night is over.

Bunches of good people there and without them the place no matter how nice the track is just would'nt be the same. Y'all have a good thing going there that should be a model for other tracks/areas too.

I think I shoulda broke out the backup car lastnight. The one I was running was possesed.

Oh yeah, Even the awesome traction of RC4Less tires on those sharp looking orange wheels couldnt coral those demons. I think I got the problem figured out in the main. I suck!

davepull
03-13-2005, 12:37 PM
Yes as always the RC4Less tires provided awesome traction

Team Jax presents was felt. 9 out of 10 cars in the stock. and 6 out of 10 cars in the 19t main

man that customworks aggressor is awesome that car turns better drives the center better and launches of the corner better than any car I have ever driven. I had some new car blues though. first I had a issue with the GTX power leads. then I had a glitching problem due to to short of an antenna. the I had a bent RF king pin. Over all it was a great day Only Tom Pedano and Myself hit the 5.1 mark and in the main had I been able to have a clean run look out Me and Tom Clearly had the fastest cars just not the results to back it up. there is always next month.

well now that you sponsor whores got your messages out there..let me help you all with some facts!
qualifying
the top 3 cars in 19 turn were no other than team daytona!
the top 3 cars in 19 turn ran BSR tires
the top 3 cars were all different chassis
the only car to go 56 laps was a 05 maverick
the spektrum radio for the ko mars has mixed results, i set tq with the spektrum ran practice and all of qualifying without a problem. A main 2 minutes into run car turns hard left on the back straight and ends my night. i wasn't going to win though...

A main results

top 3 cars were team daytona
top 3 cars were all different chassis adx, custom works 1907 10L4o
2nd and third place were on BSR tires
ed won with a 5 year old oval chassis kinda like tom pedano wins with a 1987 trc chassis!!!!

what does it all mean? the guys who run the 400.00 oval chassis need to step up! we are getting whooped by classics!

BSR builds a nice tire as well!
katf1sh is back! when was the last outdoor race i ran near the front? yeah exactly 2003 was the last time! lol

i took out troy!!!!! damn i feel bad for that one!
no fighting? wow! big dog r/c has more oval parts than every other hobby shop combined in florida! wow!

i had a freaking awesome time! very relaxing and the racing was great!

did you all notice that i think the top 6 cars were seperated by like 5 seconds? i still like my peuple motor!

oh i want to thank everyone in 19 turn for using the purple motors!!!

FYI i asked mike bean and he doesn't care what motor you use in 19 turn as long as it is legal . team daytona will continue to use the ultra bird in 2005 at strickland. good to meet travy moto and he had a good car as well! sorry again to troy! i will be back for blood in april! lol

thanks to all those who drove more than 10 miles to attend the race! bill spicer and john hart win that award! it's so damn fun racing with everyone from near and far!

how many of you would like to run twice a month at strickland?

thanks fellas for a fun night of racing!

david butts you and I are almost in the same boat as far as loved ones health is concerned my dad is not doing so good the last 2 months...i hope your wife gets well soon bro! i now understand what was on your mind at the track.. sorry to hear the bad news bill

lets get one fact straight

Team Jax will be kickin butts (tm)

Fact fastest cars there were a TRC disropter (tom p) and a customworks agressor (me) 5.1 lap times. both on RC4LESS rubber with a little racing luck look out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
