Hey racers, just thought I would throw this thread out and try to answer any questions and post some things I have going on here at Murdock R/C & Performance.

Performance packs and singles. This way to buy foam tires has been a huge hit. Buy any combination of 4 tires as a pack or singles. This way for those of us that use 4 different compounds can buy just the tires you need to race and we always try to get you the durometers that you want or as close as possible. Singles, pretty self explaning really. If you want to try a compound before buying it in pairs you can do so and save some money to make sure it works for your race program or track.

Hyperdrive performance packs. Another great money saver here. This pack include several extra things that you need to complete a kit at a high level. Buying as a pack saves you some money to put towards other needed things. The list of the complete package can be seen at our website in the car kit section.

Tires: Yes I use the same rubber as BSR and Jaco. Plus, when you buy a tire from us that means if you order a pink or purple, they will fit the durometer class that you expect them to when they arrive. No buying one compound and another coming out of the box.

1/10 rims. This rim has proven to be fast, light, extremely durable and small for a ton of tire life. The rim measure 1.80 x 2. I run my personal tires down to 2.04 and could do some more if I had more adjusters. The small size gives less rolling resistance and the flex properties make it fast.

Here are some general ideas and helpers: Do you have a diff that isnt smooth? Change the outside hub bearing. Most times this will fix it easy.
Do you have a wobble in your rear wheels (mine or anybodys)? Check your hubs especially left double clampers. You may have to loosen one and tighten the other to fix the slight wobble in the left hub. Then if you still have a little wobble, start by rotating the wheel on the hubs(left or right). A small wiggle at the hub can equal and much bigger one 2 more inches out. With my wheels you can also try to loosen one bolt and tighten the opisite side. The materials that they are made of will crush, so DONT OVER tighten.

Ill try to add some more ideas as time permits. In the mean time, check out the website and see if we can help in anyway. Shipping is fast. Most often same day. If we miss you on a phone call, please leave a message. We may be on the line, another line or in the tire shop. Im a hands on owner and when the machines are running we cant always hear the phone. Or shoot me an email. Im here for my customers 100%. Keep in mind when buying from Murdock R/C & Performance. I personally test anything new that is out or sold. If it doesnt meet my satisfaction. It doesnt get sold to you. I ton of time goes into testing to bring you the right equipment for your hard earned money. I carry some of the best equipment you can buy. KC Racing, Hyperdrive, KSG, Competition electronics, wolfe, LRP, Futaba, bandit racing bodies, and much much more. I accept credit cards and pay pal for payment

GOOD LUCK RACING, Rob @ Murdock R/C & Performance

Rob,

Nice touch with some simple tips...some of them "WE" know but sometimes forget, and I'm sure for the newbie they will be quite helpful as well...

Thanks swtour. Just thought I would throw some things out there to help out. Ill get around to adding some other things later on that may be of use as well. Even guys like me that have been doing this for decades can forget some of the simple things once in a while. Plus I thought the product support section would be a great place to keep everyone informed of what is happening here.

Sorry for a delay on a returned email the last couple of days if I was late. Computer went down and no shipping or emails could be done.

New products in stock

CE pit bull x 3. This charger have some nice features. MAHR lockout is a great feature. You can set this feature at the desired MAHR and the charger will not stop until it reaches that point (unless the saftey shuts it down). This is an excellent feature for dead shorted cells.
The next is the 3 stage charge mode. This allows you to set a charge amp that will charge to and from a desired MAHR.
Plus it has several other features for charging TX's and RX packs. $139.99

Integy full auto tire truers. As I do with most new products that come on the market, I have tested this machine and found it to be the best buy with the most features for the money. This machine comes in a padded case, adjustable return, high speed return, cutter speed dial, toggle swithes for spin direction, left-right direction, cutter shutdown switch, on/off switch and a motor that has plenty of power for the toughest rubber. $185
OPTIONS: carbide cutter $29.95, 1/12 arbor $29.95, 1/10 arbor $35, Carbide trim sticks $25 fine, $27 course

I had some glitches going on and it came to a head when I couldnt get shipping labels printed the other day. So, off to the computer shop we go to get things tuned up. Gotta thank the Brian and Jeremy at Iowa Computer for keeping things running for me. And getting it done as quickly as they did. In any event Slider. Your goodies are boxed, tagged and ready to go.

Just want to take a moment to thank all of my great customers for their continued business. I try hard to keep you informed and have the equipment that is needed to make your race program as successful as possilbe.

Hats off to my Team drivers as well. They have all raced exceptionally well the last few months. So to Kenny Collins of KC racing, Kevin Osman, Jim Silvay, Frank Peachock, Hastings (Norcca nats 19 turn WINNER), Jeff "HUMPTY Helms, and last and certainly not least, My special team members, little sister Brittany and our Dad Bill. Keep it up, there are good things ahead from Murdock R/C & Performance

Rob,
Is the new truer you carry this one?
http://integy.automated-shops.com/cgi-bin/webc.cgi/st_prod.html?p_prodid=2334&p_catid=57&sid=4wSJJh0-cF7JDzi-57104075393.0d

or the automatic Eagle one that Integy carries?
http://integy.automated-shops.com/cgi-bin/webc.cgi/st_prod.html?p_prodid=2212&p_catid=57&sid=4wSJJh0-cF7JDzi-57104075393.0d

Right now they are showing both listed on their site.

Hey erock, the one that im stocking is the integy model not the eagle. The eagle is a good machine as well but the integy had an option or two that was a little better along with the price.

Rob
Is there any type of warranty with the truer with you or with Integy?

Reason I ask is I am in the market for a new truer but cant afford to shell out $400+ on the Hudy. But I want something I can trust. I had nothing but problems with the Ofna truer. And they want more to fix it than what I paid cause the 30 day warranty expired.

erock, I dont know the warranty for certain on the integy stuff but when I have sent things in they have been good about the turn around and fixing it. Ill look into it some more for you and see what the duration of the warranty is.

20tn40: RX packs are not needed in spec at all I dont think. You can still run your digital servo unless you are running it on the futaba hrs rx. I run open mod and 19 turn all the time on FM with a futaba 9550 and never run an rx pack. There are certain times that the rx pack is needed like on tracks like BMS where your voltage can dip low enough for the personal transponder to quit counting. So unless your personal is not counting at the end of a race or your running on HRS then your digital servo will run without them. But if you want to run one to make sure then a 5 cell is plenty.

Bud3738: Im sure the invoice is in the box Rick. Check again and if you dont find it then I can send a copy out to you if needed. Everything was there except the diff covers that you ordered. For some reason they have not shown up yet but I cant say for sure why. Ill make a call in the morning and see what the hold up is

rob what is the difference between the lp-7050 narrow locator plate and the lp7050t narrow locator plate

pepe
07-11-2004, 09:59 AM
Roy,

If I'm not mistaken the "t" plate is a thin version .030 I think.

Roy
07-11-2004, 10:33 AM
ok that makes scence. a thinner locator plate will raise your ride hieght so you can run a smaller tire. i didn't know they made them wonder what other stuff they make like this that would work on my car:) thanks pepe

MURDOCKRC
07-11-2004, 11:08 PM
Roy the t locaters are just a thinner version of the same thing. They work nice if you trying to get a certain ride height or more life out of your tires.

Rick the only rx's I have right now in new or used are the HRS version and they will not work with your 3pj. Those go with a 3pk radio.

The oval nats are approaching guys. For one week take $5 off any arm, motor, or battery from KC RACING. $3 off on Bandit racing bodies, $10 off any car kit or car kit package. Murdock R/C want you on a new ride for the big race. This will run 7-25 through 7-31

You have asked, and now you have received you request. Motor and Arm tubes are now in stock.:) These are the good square ones that protect the motors much better than some others out there. $1.25 for the arm tubes and $1.50 for motor tubes. Cheap way to protect that horsepower investment

Product clarification: First off, I intend absolutely no offense to anyone because everyones business is very much appreciated by Murdock R/C.

There was a recent post for some tires of ours for sale that was worded in a manor that I felt needed clarified. Yes, Murdock R/C & Performance uses the same rubber as BSR, Jaco and coopers. I also own the mold and have all rights to the wheels that are used in a 1/10th lineup formerly belonging to racetech. The post was worded that they had some BSR tires, on racetech wheels mounted by Murdock R/C for sale. That would be kinda like saying jaco tires mounted on bsr wheels for sale or in some other way of the same manor. All tires sold under the Murdock R/C & Performance label are made by from top to bottom in our shop. I felt that the wording made it sound as if the wheels were still racetechs, mouted by bsr, sold under my name when in fact it is not correct. I guess the reason I felt this needed to be clarified is because I go to extreme measures to grade and build the best tires that can be built so that my valued customers get what they pay for. Remeber my saying. If I wont race it, I wont sell it.

Thanks, Rob @ Murdock R/C & Performance

Is it true that there won't be any more green foams? I had heard that the company that made the foam went out of business.
Thanks Rob.

MURDOCKRC
08-25-2004, 10:42 PM
It is true that the company here in the states that made green and blue rubber went out of business Don. However, at this time I have a good stock of green rubber, and some blue. I do have another source that should come through for this coming carpet season though if needed. Green is not in big demand as it was a few years ago though. Most of my customers go with the white or gray because it will last much longer than green will. There is a very slight variance in the way the car reacts due the wear differences but it is something that is very easy to adjust to and have longer lasting tires for the money. Ill try to keep everyone posted on any changing events on the availability of these types of rubber though. Oh, if you looking for a good replacment for blue my Purple/blue is a great choice.

Rob @ Murdock R/C & Performance

MURDOCKRC
09-01-2004, 11:49 PM
Ok racers, it is here again this year. I am now having my annual pre-carpet season tire sale. Through the month of September take $2 off per pair on any compound tire in any of my line ups. 1/10. 1/12, or touring. Remeber, you can buy Murdock R/C & Performance tires in any form. They can be purchased in pairs, singles, or in my now famous performance packs. This allows you to buy only what you need or want. NOBODY else offers these options for foam tires. This will save you money on one of the best tires on the market. The high points of my line ups of tires is many. Durability: all lines, especially the 1/10 line are the most durable wheels on the market. Weight: all lines are light for less rolling resistance. Diameter: all line ups offer smaller diameter wheels for longer tire life especially in the 1/10th where they are only 1.80in. The 1/10 line up is our most popular line up for sure because of the wheels. Not only do they offer the featurers mentioned above but they are fast. They offer flex properties like no other wheels currently on the market and that has been proven to be a faster choice. Dont forget about the FREE OFFER. Get a FREE calculater with your first set of 4 tires. Also, Murdock R/C & Performance uses the same types of rubber as other manufactures. The difference with Murdock R/C is that if you want a pink compound tire. That is what you will get. All tires are strictly graded so that you get what you order, and that is a tire that fits the range of durometer readings you expect.

I am wondering what the GOLD and SILVER compounds durometer at and what type of track conditions they would be best suited for? Carpet or asphalt?

Thank You.

MURDOCKRC
09-19-2004, 11:43 PM
The gold and silver fit into the same class as white-dbl gray. The gold is a good replacement for the old black to a certain degree. The gold ranges around the mid 40's for durometer. Silver is a bit harder in the upper 40's for durometer. They both have worked the best (at least from what I sell) on the banked carpet tracks. Gold also works good on flat tracks. Hope that helps

Rob, off topic but, AOL gets really cranky about certain email programs and calls them spam and won't let them in your inbox. Particularly anyone with a hotmail or some other "not name brand" such as AOL, MSN, Charter, etc. Might try checking your mail settings and see if you can override AOL.
