Also, Bandai is re-releasing Tsukuda's kits from Nausicaa of the Valley of Wind, my favorite Miyazaki film.

No blind links, please. Tell what it is you're linking to - blind links are annoying.
Thanks-

McFarlane Toys (?) did an 18 inch Myers some years ago that was great. NECA's LOTR 20 inchers are the real news. The Aragorn being the FIRST to look a lot like Viggo Mortensen.

Just saw the SkyDiver at FabGear.....that is sweet!!! also the re-release of the Sky-1 and Mobile. I see right now that you're gonna get a chunk of money from me. Are they gonna re-release the Moonbase Interceptor as well?

Hi Mitch-
No chance for a re-issue of the Bandai UFO Moonbase Interceptor kit - the molds no longer exist. I tried tracking down molds for many of the old UFO and Anderson kits from Japan a couple of years ago... the only UFO kit tools that still exist are the ShadoMobile, Sky 1 and the Moonbase kit. The Bandai Skydiver, Lunar Module, and Interceptor were apparently scrapped in the late 1980's.
Best you're gonna find is the die cast from Product Enterprise that's coming out soon, or a few resin kits.

HLJ has a report on the Tokyo Hobby Show on their website (http://www.hlj.com/) but most of it is old news or Gundam related (not that's there anything wrong with that).

A few items of interest . . .

I really didn’t like the film but Wave has two models from “The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen” for release – the Nautilas and Nemo’s car. If the car is 1/25th and reasonably priced, I might consider getting it

The report doesn’t say who but all the smaller scale Yamato/Starblazers kits are being re-issued in 4 sets.

On the Paint report, there's news of a Gundam "meki" (metallic) marker. The results look encouraging judging by the plastic spoon in the picture. Could be really useful for touch-up or detailing.

This has been on HLJ's preorder list for about a month.
It's 1/24th and at current exchange rates about $45 USD excluding shipping.

Bandai naturally. It's also on HLJ's preorder.

The card in front of the kit states 1/24 scale; can't make out the scale on the Nautilus. The current conversion rate puts the car at about $46 U.S. Seems a bit pricey...

Update: Just checked the Hobby Link Japan site. Both kits are slated for a December release. The car is 1/24 scale and currently goes for $43.35 U.S. The Nautilus is 1/700 scale and is listed at $38.02 U.S. Both are available for preorder.

GUys,
I'm going to lock up and unstick this thread. The entire purpose of this board is kit and on topic toy news, we should be starting new threads for these items instead of cramming them all into one.
