Thanks to Nick for bring out the computer & running the races on Saturday - sorry I wasn't able to be there all day. Nice to see a better turnout, hopefully we can improve more in August. The Oval Championship race On August 22 is on SUNDAY - so all of you who said you can make it on that day have no excuses. Please make plans, the track is great and we will run any class of cars that make it.

Ok Give me your setup Dave. What other tires have been used? When we raced at Gd. Rapids we used three Gold R's and a Green S on the left rear. Are you using EHW's? Wide or narrow on the rear? Full byflo wing? I have a ton of Greens, Reds and Pinks. No Blues. I wish I had saved the setup from Gd. Rapids. Mark what have you run for a setup? Thanks!

Mel buddy, I am in the same boat you are. I have no blues. When I ran funtime a month ago I used three greens and a gold RF. It worked out well. A blue RF would be the way to go though.

You guys are gonna laugh at my setup, but here it is.

rf-
blue progressive spring, blue net s tire
lf-
white progressive spring, green or pink s tire
rr-
wide blue r net tire
lr-
narrow green l tire
side shocks- blue & gold spring, 25w oil
center shock-hpi shock, 60 wt oil, 12# touring car spring, #3 piston, med spring steel t plate
Huge buds wing( on the pod), ford hd body
Slider chassis with the batteries in the middle.
Just about anything works out there, its just a matter of preference. Turn 4 is pretty much flat, so its tough to set up the car for that while still going fast on the rest of the track, so GOOD LUCK!
PS My rollout was 3.13. (using the 2.5" rr tire)

Hi guys, Just wanted to know if it would be possible to get some track time before the 22nd? I currently race at the Schoolyard in Lagrange, IN and will be attending your race. I really need to get familiar with you track but with us running on Saturday's at the Schoolyard it has been tuff. If there is anyway possible to get a practice session on Sunday please contact me at 260-242-0687 and I am sure Dave and myself will be there.

P.S. Could I get a phone # for the person in charge of running the track. Would love to get intouch!

Thanks,
Brian

The last time we ran at Gd. Rapids. Greg and I have been to Indy but you know that is a different animal. I will be set up by eight to get some track time before the race. All Keith and Greg keep saying is how they hate caps. I think they will be easy pickings.

"There's a vortex created by the cars going around the track that keeps the weather away. That's why it won't rain at an oval race." One of the best quotes I've heard from DW. But the Best one has to be, "....he's doing things the right way. All the marks on the right side of his car. If you have marks on the right side it means you're usin 8 wheels instead of 4, and if you have marks on the left siad you just in the way."

Now that I have my front tire problem figured out I might just have to come out and make the swan song run for my L4.

Jamie Hanson

Yeah, I caught the "AT" part. Who says I am going to the birds? If I can not get time off I won;t be going. I sure am going to try though. I told myself I wouldn't miss them this year.

Well, we had a pretty good turnout for a summer oval race. 23 entries!
Thanks everyone for coming. As for me, I think my radio is going to Airtronics for some help. I still had a good time though.
Thanks Nick for running the race and providing the trophies.

Keep watching, we'll post about the September race as soon as we get a date.

Hey guys,
I know you've been dying to know about the next race. I know i have since the radio hits took me out of the main at the last race.
We're looking at October 3rd. The track is busy 2 weekends in Sept. and the computer is busy the others.
One of those Saturdays is a possibility, but it's not looking good for Sept.
The thing about October is that Nick is going to have indoors going close to that.
So -- need some input.
