Tommygun43, No I didn't mistype, both fronts are whites, right rear gray, I have 0-degree castor, left front, 1.5 degree castor right front. If something is binding or bent I can't find it.Look for some broken or stressed graphite or front arms. Whenever my hyper was that off, that was the case. The bottom plate, or the chassis on the rear by the batt. slots is a common breaking point on that car. I had a front end lower arm that was broke, but you couldn't see it unless you pushed on it.
A white RF is really rare.

Thanks Bill and Hacksaw for the props !!

Yep, Matt was right that 3rd A main I had to make up a lot of ground after spinning early in the run. I got within a few feet of Matt with about 4-5 laps to go....I had to apologize to Matt cause my pass was as not as clean as I would liked it to be. I am glad it didnt take us both out though just got us down towards the infield a bit. Always a great battle when he's in town.

I also have to give props to Jody Miller and Tom Postalwait.
They both had fast cars, Jody made some changes before the mains which leapfrogged him ahead of some of the field.

Need a little help, I have a 8 symetrical lower pod plates for a 0700. How can I identify the differant rear steers ?

Easy Humpty, I don't think you can handle this fight! She's got your number. LOSER!

Fl Flash. Use a dial caliper and measure the right hand bolt hole for the t plate. The narrower the gap, the more rear steer. I dont use them and cant tell you specifics without pulling them out but that will at least help you determine which is which. The d drive rear steer plates pivot off of the battery side hole so make sure you measure the right because the left is always the same.

Thanks Rob,
I tried measuring them off the car, the differance is so small its hard to tell. I wound up measureing them on the car to tell. Measured the gap between the frame and t-plate on both sides.

Rob @ Murdock R/Cyou can only measure the hd stlye bottom plates that way. the asc stlye t-plates have the same gap. you need measure the over all legth of the bottom plate near the motorplate

Will the SSE Pro2 Shorty chassis be a direct replacement for the 0700? I like the one piece chassis less parts to worry about.

MURDOCKRC
11-30-2004, 11:19 PM
Your correct Mike. I was thinking offset stuff when I made that post. thanks for covering my back on that one.

You can do a direct swap from a 700 to a pro 2 or pro 2 st by changing the chassis and the left standoff. the battery side standoff sits on top of the battery tray brace on a 700 and it sits directly on the chassis of the pro 2 cars.

Hey rcgen,
Next time I race at HW I,ll show you my new SSE Pro 2 , Robs right about the chassis change. Chassis kicks butt on banked concrete, I havent ran it at Hobbyworld yet so I dont know about flat asphalt. Ran the 0700 at Race Rock! Lotsa fun.

ballou i don't know of any conversion kits for it. trinity doesn't do a real good job at supporting there oval stuff. you'll be better off asking here or at your local track for advice. it's also going to be hard to find new replacement parts. there lots of guys willing to sell there old used cars to you. good luck and have fun mike

Barry,
Somethings been on my mind for the past couple weeks and I've just now been "inspired" to write about it. LOL
I'd like to offer a great big thanks to ALL of Team Hyperdrive. From Barry and Joe who give us a quality chassis to race with all the way down to all of the folks who drive a HD car. Though I've only be in RC for a little over a year, I have been in many competative hobbies and sports in my life and I have never witnessed such willingness to share as I have with the HD crew. Not one time have I ever had to wait more than a few seconds for an answer, whether in email or in person. Every single HD Team driver I have met is more than willing to help you with your car even to the point of just taking it out of your hands and fixing it! LOL There is a wealth of information out there and regardless of where you are seeking your answers, whether it's Jody Miller or Eric Hutkay, Humpty or Hacksaw, even Barry himself...you WILL be given all the knowledge you need to succeed.
The RC community as a whole is a great big family, but the Hyperdrive crew is the best of the bunch! Barry and Joe, keep cranking it out! It's BIG RED or dead for me! LOL

Fireball you can space your right rear out to help the car to turn in. Taking shims from the left rear will help free the car also.
