left turner, I am sorry about the problems with your kit, if you are the person that talked to my dad Friday evening or Saturday morning, he sent you a shock mount, but I am not sure which one he sent. He misunderstood and thought you did not get one at all, so he may have sent the graphite mount. As for the shock, we used CRC clicker shocks for a while, but people were still pitching them for the HPI shock, so we dropped the price back on the kits and put the Associated VCS macro shock in the kits. They were the cheapest think we could get, that way when someone decides not to use it they did not pay extra for something they were not going to use. All the team kits come with the graphite shock mounts now and have for at least 8 months.

I hope this clears up your problems and I am sorry for any trouble.

thanks

I have noticed over the last few months that carpet racers are going to the short version chassis. I recently picked up a short adrenaline. What changes are typical to the shorter chassis should I look into besides just the wheel base?

Hey Zinger, I run stock on a flat oval just about the same size (87-90ft).

I agree with Triple H on most of what he has there, the only difference is as follows:

-LF lower arm position; inner and -- RF lower arm position middle, short wheelbase
-Center shock 50wt, silva silver 3rd hole up
-Pod straight up
-Tires(all BSR) left side--whites, RF gold, RR grey

Hope this helps!

Thats a interesting picture, kinda curious as to why he has shims placed between the lower a-frame and steering block? minor ride height adjustment?
Donnie, I feel the same about my Hyperdrives  See Ya! at Pooler

The shims under the steering block lowers the ride height.

It seems to me that running the symmetrical t-plate is more common plus a few more choices than the offset style. Nobody up here stocks the HD t-plates. Over here all you see is AE and a few KSG. MY local tack only has 3 HD cars running here. I wanted to try a spring steel one this year and see how it changed the handling.
Thanks Barry! I need to send you some more aluminum parts to anodize red for my 0700!

How much LR weight are you running? Is this a track where you have to lift off of the throttle in the turns?

Hey guys just wanted to give some props to my buddy Joel Biro who took down the year old 19T record at Classic Hobbies last night. Joel blistered the track with a 60 4:01.3 run.

Joel was on a Pro2 shorty chassis

Bob, most of the the problem is center off. The car pushes on exit.
Thanks

Rod,

Tom (Toledo) here, try setting your Front Right caster more up right, that should help with center off push.

Also, either widen your rear track or narrow your front track.

Try running your batteries all the way back. This transfers more weight, could help with the tight off. Also the Monte Carlo body willl help if your not already running it.I switched from a Bandit Taurus on Saturday and picked up two laps on a 210' flat track.

Pro 2 shorty setup for coyote hobbies ????????????anyone
I ran at Beaver, PA before which is real similar to Coyote's dimensions.
Let me dig out my setup and email it over to you.

Can you accept Microsoft Excel files, cause that is what I save my setups in.

Send me an email to eric.hutkay@beldenblake.com

REH. In my opinion...with the set up you listed your car should be very VERY loose, I say this mostly because of the white right front and blue left rear spring. I'd say there is something bent or binding in your car. Make sure the rear pod moves freely side to side, the front compresses smoothly and caster settings are good.

Maybe you mis-typed and actually have a white right rear and gray right front.

REH
11-15-2004, 06:56 AM
Tommygun43, No I didn't mistype, both fronts are whites, right rear gray, I have 0-degree castor, left front, 1.5 degree castor right front. If something is binding or bent I can't find it.
